Nine Yang Life and Death Transformation
Chapter 1 The Museum Transformation
Yang Wei, a senior student about to graduate, is at a crucial turning point in his life. Unlike other students who are still busy working on their graduation theses, Yang Wei has already successfully completed this challenging task thanks to his excellent planning skills and efficient execution.
On this sunny day, a gentle breeze was blowing. Yang Wei sat leisurely on the No. 543 bus, watching the scenery outside the window change as the bus slowly moved forward. With a relaxed and happy mood, he enjoyed the scenery of the city along the way, and before he knew it, he had arrived in the bustling and lively city of Beiping.
After getting off the train, Yang Wei began to stroll through the streets and alleys of Beiping. Every corner here was filled with a rich historical and cultural atmosphere; the ancient buildings, traditional shops, and bustling crowds created a vivid and unique picture. Yang Wei looked around with great interest, fully immersing himself in the charm of this city.
As Yang Wei walked, he suddenly found himself in front of a magnificent museum. Filled with a thirst for knowledge and curiosity, he entered without hesitation. Among the many precious exhibits, the Simuwu Ding, hailed as the museum's crown jewel, instantly caught his eye.
The Simuwu Ding is a magnificent and imposing vessel. It is 1.1 meters long, 80 centimeters wide, and 1.3 meters high, weighing over 800 kilograms! The body of the ding is carved with exquisite coiled dragon patterns and mysterious taotie patterns, which are lifelike and seem to tell the story of the wisdom of the ancient people.
Gazing at the miraculous artifact before him, Yang Wei felt a surge of deep admiration. He exclaimed to himself, "It's truly astonishing that the ancients thousands of years ago possessed such superb skills and extraordinary wisdom!" At that moment, he felt as if he had traveled through time and witnessed firsthand the scene of the craftsmen meticulously crafting this giant cauldron.
As he stared intently at the precious exhibit before him, a sudden, intense tremor ran from beneath his feet, as if the entire earth were being violently shaken by an invisible giant hand. The once quiet and peaceful museum instantly began to sway from side to side, and the items in the display cases teetered on the brink of collapse.
"What on earth is going on?" someone shouted in alarm.
"Could it be an earthquake?" another voice replied, trembling.
Amid the chaos, a loud and firm voice shouted: "Don't panic! Let the elderly, children, and women leave first!"
At the shout, a piercing alarm bell suddenly rang, shattering the tense atmosphere inside the building. Adults hurriedly picked up their young children, grabbed the elderly or women beside them, and fled desperately toward the exit.
Seeing this, Yang Wei's heart tightened, and he instinctively wanted to follow the crowd and escape this dangerous place. However, after taking only a few steps, he found that the passage ahead was completely blocked by the surging crowd, with heads crammed together, making it impossible to move forward. Helpless, he had no choice but to stop and wait anxiously behind.
At this moment, the shaking of the earth intensified, making it extremely difficult for him to even stand firm. He instinctively looked around and saw that the sturdy glass used to protect the artifacts had already shattered under the violent tremors, with fragments scattered all over the ground. Even more terrifying, deep cracks began to appear in the ground beneath his feet, the largest of which was already more than twenty centimeters wide and was spreading at an alarming rate.
Faced with this critical situation, Yang Wei's mind quickly flashed through the earthquake self-rescue knowledge he had learned before. He knew that he only had two choices at this moment: one was to run to an open space as soon as possible; the other was to find a relatively safe corner to hide in. However, with the passageways blocked, rushing out was obviously not a realistic option.
Seeing that escape was virtually impossible, Yang Wei's heart sank to the bottom. He looked around in terror, hoping to find a glimmer of hope. Just then, he spotted a corner only two meters away. Without thinking, he mustered all his strength and sprinted towards the corner, quickly crouching down. However, the ground beneath his feet continued to shake violently, as if the entire world was about to collapse. Even the massive and heavy Simuwu Ding began to sway from side to side, emitting a chilling clanging sound. Then, with a deafening roar, the Simuwu Ding crashed to the ground, raising a cloud of dust and creating a deep crater. Fortunately, Yang Wei reacted quickly, dodging to the side and narrowly escaping being hit.
Before Yang Wei could even catch his breath, steel bars and bricks rained down from above. He dodged left and right with all his might, but due to the sheer number and density of the falling debris, he couldn't avoid them all. A brick the size of a fist slammed into his shin, sending a sharp pain through him and making him scream in agony. Blood gushed from the wound, staining his trouser leg red. He looked down and was shocked—his shinbone had been broken!
Yang Wei winced in pain, cold sweat pouring down his forehead. Anger and despair intertwined, making him unable to control his emotions any longer. He couldn't help but curse, "Fuck your ancestors!" Tears streamed uncontrollably down his cheeks.
Perhaps the heavens heard his angry curses, for the shaking intensified, and more and more bricks and stones fell. Yang Wei knew that if this continued, he would soon be completely buried. He was frantic, racking his brains for a way to save himself. But escape was impossible, as the exit was hundreds of meters away. If he were to be hit by a falling brick, he might not even have a chance to get to the hospital; he would be buried alive.
Just as Yang Wei felt utterly hopeless, he suddenly caught sight of the Simuwu Ding lying on the ground beside him. The cauldron's mouth was facing him, and the interior space seemed large enough to accommodate a person. At that moment, he couldn't care less about anything else. Enduring the excruciating pain in his leg, he dragged his broken leg and struggled to crawl towards the Simuwu Ding. With tremendous effort, he finally managed to squeeze inside. Although the space inside wasn't large, it was just enough for him to curl up and avoid the constantly falling bricks and stones outside.
Huge stones rained down relentlessly, crashing down on the ancient and solemn Simuwu Ding with a dull thud. Each impact produced a crisp clattering sound, as if a fierce battle were unfolding.
Yang Wei watched the scene before him with bated breath, his eyes fixed on the interior of the Simuwu Ding. Despite the continuous falling stones, he was relieved to find no obvious dents or signs of damage inside the ding. He breathed a long sigh of relief; the heavy weight that had been hanging over him finally lifted.
However, at that moment, he suddenly felt an unusual discomfort in his buttocks. The feeling was like sitting on a pile of sharp objects, making him very uncomfortable. So, he carefully lifted his buttocks slightly and reached down to feel around.
When his hand touched the object, a chilling sensation instantly spread throughout his body. He looked closely and was so surprised he almost cried out—what he was holding was a vernier caliper left behind by Wang Mang! Even more shockingly, this vernier caliper seemed to possess some kind of magical power; it greedily absorbed the blood flowing from Yang Wei's hand.
As the blood was absorbed, the caliper began to emit a dazzling golden light. This light, as intense and radiant as the sun, enveloped Yang Wei completely. In an instant, Yang Wei felt the world spin, his vision blurred, and everything before him became indistinct.
Immediately afterwards, the golden light enveloping Yang Wei shot into the sky at an astonishing speed, like a shooting star streaking across the heavens, traversing endless space. Along the way, the golden light swiftly passed stars and galaxies, speeding towards the distant depths of the universe.
Finally, Jin Guang led Yang Wei to a planet called Blue Star. On this Blue Star, there existed a vast and magnificent continent, which people called Tianyuan Continent.
