A few days later, late one night, several dark figures quietly sneaked into the Chi tribe from behind.

There were about five men, each accompanied by a woman, who brazenly entered the tribe without anyone noticing.

If Ye Qingxue could see it, she would realize that the man walking at the very front was none other than Dan Yang, the only Golden Core expert in the palace.

Just as they were about to reach the leader's hall, another group of people appeared in front of them.

Dan Yang quickly stepped forward and asked in a deep voice, "Chi Chief, where is the Goddess Temple?"

Judging from the title, the leader of that group was actually the chief of the Chi tribe.

The Chi chieftain's eyes gleamed with a sinister light as he glanced at the surrounded woman, but he didn't answer Dan Yang's question: "You've been protecting her quite closely? Have you discovered her value?"

Dan Yang said impatiently, "Chi Chief, don't waste your time. We have already provided you with the information as agreed, and now you should keep your promise."

Chief Chi was used to being arrogant, and no one had ever dared to teach him how to do things. The corners of his mouth turned up, and sharp, reddish, fine teeth could be seen between his lips.

"Kid, watch your manners." He pointed at him with his finger.

For a moment, the veins on Dan Yang's neck bulged.

He simply didn't have the patience to play these tricks on ordinary people. If the clan leader hadn't said that they still had to act according to the rules of the human realm, he could have crushed this person in front of him with a single finger.

"Chi Chief is joking. I meant no disrespect whatsoever."

Chief Chi didn't comment on his words, but sneered, pushed him aside, and walked forward to the woman. He hooked her chin with one hand and said, "Little Chi, I didn't expect you to survive like this. I really didn't misjudge you."

Chi Miaoxian felt disgusted by the stench emanating from the person in front of her, yet she dared not make any rash moves.

Now that her people are under the control of the Emperor's men, she has returned to this place that bound her, leaving her with no way out and no help.

The Chi chieftain's fingers kept stroking Chi Miaoxian's fair chin, his eyes glowing red, and his gaze towards her became increasingly strange.

Chi Miaoxian was hiding poison powder on her body. Being stared at like that disgusting gaze made her breathless, and she began to think about how to make her move.

At worst, we'll die together.

"Chi Chief! It's almost dawn!" Dan Yang suddenly reminded him.

Chief Chi clicked his tongue, released his hand, glanced at Dan Yang with annoyance, and waved his hand away: "Come with me."

The people from the Chief's Hall had already been arranged to leave by Chief Chi. He brazenly led them to the front of the Goddess's Hall and ordered his men to open the hall doors.

"Goddess, please."

Chi Miaoxian took a deep breath and stepped into the hall she knew so well, pretending to look around.

Her plan was simple: find that specific spiritual herb, trick them into believing that the herb could only survive in this place, and then develop the medicine there.

Finally, he drank it himself.

During the time Chi Miaoxian was imprisoned in the palace, when Emperor Wu first asked her to make a special medicine, she refused.

They clearly agreed to let her go once the antidote was made, so why did they go back on their word?

She thought that apart from the men of the Chi tribe, there couldn't be anyone so unreasonable, but she didn't expect there really was.

When the Emperor's men saw that she was not cooperating, they released their spiritual power to exert pressure.

At first, she didn't know what it was; she only knew that her bones were about to be crushed. If she hadn't felt a force within her helping her resist, the pain would have almost made her faint. And yet, she could still hear the group of people expressing their surprise.

"This woman can actually hold on? She's held on for an incredibly long time."

"Damn, could she also have spirit resistance? Should we report this to the clan leader?"

Chi Miaoxian keenly sensed a sense of crisis and immediately abandoned her resistance. In an instant, her vision went black.

With each subsequent instance of such torture, she ceased to resist; excruciating pain and fainting became commonplace.

This situation continued for a month until the Emperor Wu finally condescended to come before her.

I asked her, "Can we do it now?"

A dark light flickered in Chi Miaoxian's eyes as she silently nodded.

"That's good."

After the Empress left, she was taken to the medicine-making room.

Here, she had access to far more advanced and abundant medicinal herbs than those from the Chi tribe. If she hadn't been shackled, she wouldn't have been in such a bad mood.

The Emperor's men placed a soft, dome-like object in front of her and told her that the potion she made had to be able to corrode it.

Chi Miaoxian cursed these people hundreds of times in her heart before coldly uttering a "hmm".

After those people left, she picked up the cover, and a feeling similar to the pain of having her bones crushed suddenly surged up.

She suddenly remembered something.

Anti-spirit.

So, is this medicine able to resist something called spirit?

Was it something those people did to her that month?

Chi Miaoxian was initially unsure, but the more she studied it, the more she could see something different.

So she thought, this is her only chance.

If she secretly creates the potion, she can resist the pain and possibly escape.

If we're going to escape, we have to leave the palace gates; only outside will we have a chance.

So during this time, she had been diligently researching that so-called anti-spirit potion.

As the research and development reached its final stage, one day when one of the Empress's men brought her food, she looked at the bubbling blue liquid in front of her and casually asked:

"If I succeed, could you grant me a small request?"

The subordinate didn't take her seriously, giving her a smirk: "Tell me what you want to say?"

“I was kidnapped by a man and a woman, and I wanted to kill them with my own hands.”

These words made the subordinate laugh.

His gaze held a hint of pity; because of his contempt, he wasn't on guard.

“Those two are not people you can kill as easily as you want, besides... they already escaped.”

Chi Miaoxian remained silent, seemingly unwilling to accept the situation.

The subordinate clicked his tongue twice, shook his head, and left, completely unaware of the gleaming eyes in Chi Miaoxian's eyes behind him.

She lowered her head and thought slowly, "Where can the young general of the Lu family escape to?"

After much thought, the only option left is the border.

It just so happened that the last missing ingredient was in the Goddess Temple, so she used that as an excuse to return there.

First, she was familiar with this place, making it easier to escape. Second, if she were to run into Ye Qingxue, she might be able to save her.

Returning to the present moment, Chi Miaoxian took a deep breath, located the spiritual herb she had personally cultivated, and turned to her Martial Emperor subordinates, saying, "You see, this spiritual herb is connected to specific soil and cannot be separated..."

Halfway through her sentence, Chi Miaoxian's gaze swept across the bottom of the side window, where something seemed to be flashing with light.

Her voice suddenly stopped.
