"One person can't be in two places at once... We need to expedite the progress of the [Jarvis] project."

A thought popped into Jiang Chen's mind.

After all, it was his own studio, and Jiang Chen was not comfortable entrusting the acceptance work to others.

It took Jiang Chen almost a month just to confirm the various parameters of the supercomputing center.

With the assistance of a mature and reliable artificial intelligence, this task could be completed in less than a day.

Moreover, in many things, artificial intelligence is far more efficient than humans.

Although Jarvis is only a very basic form of artificial intelligence, it is more than capable of replacing Jiang Chen in performing some repetitive mechanical tasks or assisting him in completing some basic tasks.

However, even the most basic artificial intelligence is frighteningly difficult.

True artificial intelligence is not like chatgpt, which is just a "repeater" that only copies and pastes from search engines. Instead, it has the ability to think and learn on its own. In a sense, it is perfectly acceptable to regard it as a real life form.

With extensive learning and the passage of time, it also has the potential to become a true 'intelligent life form' like Babata.

Among the requirements for the Jarvis blueprints, there are two core requirements.

First, a supercomputer with sufficient computing power is needed to serve as the 'brain' of artificial intelligence.

Without sufficient computing power, it would be impossible to support even the most basic form of artificial intelligence.

Fortunately, in this respect, if we lack the technology, we can make up for it with quantity.

At least for artificial intelligence like Jarvis, what's needed isn't 'quality,' but 'quantity.'

Even single-core processors that were already obsolete before Nirvana can fully meet the requirements as long as enough are stacked.

This condition has been met since the supercomputing center was established.

Another core requirement is the 'knowledge' that Jiang Chen himself possesses.

Other requirements aren't too high, but both mathematics and computer science require a level of 11 to understand Jarvis's complex source code architecture and make detailed adjustments based on one's own needs.

Currently, on Jiang Chen's panel, the values for these two items are Mathematics Lv.10 and Informatics Lv.9, respectively.

This was the result of Jiang Chen's intensive efforts to improve his relatively weak area of informatics after deciding to advance the [Jarvis] project.

At the current pace, even if all the time except for eating and sleeping is spent in the system library, it would still take two or three months to meet the requirements for unlocking the blueprints.

In reality, although both major projects have been completed, Jiang Chen still has a lot to do.

On the [Tearer] production line, although things are on track, there are still occasional minor problems that Chief Engineer Chen and his team cannot solve, requiring Jiang Chen to step in.

The supercomputing center also needs to recruit some staff.

The work of operating and maintaining the supercomputer alone is not something Jiang Chen can handle by himself.

Such a large area requires a considerable number of staff, such as security guards and cleaners, to do odd jobs.

While Jiang Chen could seek help from Li Dawei's connections to handle these trivial matters, he didn't want his studio to resemble a military unit, so it was better to do it personally.

"If only I had a group of robots or androids as subordinates..." Jiang Chen felt a headache coming on again when he thought about recruitment.

Not to mention future plans, the projects already on the agenda involve technologies that are beyond the current level of the Earth, which will definitely arouse the envy of the outside world.

Preventing leaks when recruiting employees from outside sources can be a real headache.

Even though it's troublesome, it still has to be done.

"As long as security guards and cleaners who do odd jobs are kept away from the inside of the server room, there's nothing to worry about; they can be a bit more relaxed."

"As for the personnel to maintain and operate the equipment... in fact, artificial intelligence is the best operator. Once the [Jarvis] project is completed, the computer room will only need a small number of engineers responsible for hardware maintenance and upkeep. There will be no need to hire operators at all..."

"However, even if we're only hiring a small number of hardware engineers, we still have to consider the issue of leaks. And most highly skilled people already have stable jobs; the only way to persuade them to switch is to 'buy them off' with money..."

"Let's spend more money if we want. After all, once we make contact with the universe, Earth's currency will be meaningless, so there's no point in keeping it."

"Loyalty is a bit of a problem... Oh well, let's just take it one step at a time."

Jiang Chen sighed and instead of contacting Lu Gang or Li Dawei, he went directly to the largest headhunting firms in Jiangnan Base City and posted job openings through their channels.

As for menial jobs like security guards and cleaners, you can easily find enough people by simply posting an ad on a job recruitment platform and offering slightly higher pay.

Although a headhunting company was there to help, Jiang Chen still had to conduct the final interview and review himself, which would take up some time.

However, there's nothing we can do about it. Spending some time and effort now will save us even more time in the future, so it's still worthwhile.

Jiang Chen has little interest in developing his power, at least not for the time being.

However, as the resources available to us increase and the fields we are involved in become more complex, we will always need some helpers.

The recruitment and interview process did not affect Jiang Chen's progress in acquiring knowledge from the system library.

Time continues to pass.

One day, Jiang Chen was in the system library, engrossed in reading a book called "Multidimensional Matrix Algorithms".

Suddenly, a system notification sounded in my ear.

[Informatics has been upgraded to Lv.11; level has been increased.]

[Current level: Tier 0, Level 5.]

You gain +10 to all attributes and 10 free attribute points.

You have gained 33 feat points.

"Upgraded?"

Jiang Chen was taken aback.

Among all the disciplines, or 'knowledge categories' recognized by the system, Jiang Chen's 'mathematics' level is the highest, having already reached Lv.11.

During this period, due to the need for Jarvis's blueprints, Jiang Chen crammed on 'Informatics' and raised the level of this subject from Lv.7 to Lv.11 in just a few months.

With this accumulation, Jiang Chen's level in the system evaluation finally rose to level five of rank zero.

Jiang Chen casually added 10 free attribute points to the 'Intelligence' attribute, and his attribute panel changed again.
