Quick Transmigration: Only You Are the Desire of My Heart

Chapter 552 Yandere Dominator VS Delicate Omega 37

"You should rest well." Su Che packed up his first-aid kit, walked to the door, then turned back and gave him a sweet smile.

"Good night."

The door was gently closed.

The room fell silent again.

Xi Hanzhou lay motionless on the bed, feeling a sharp, aching pain in a certain part of his heart.

He could smell the faint citrus pheromones lingering in the air from Su Che—clean and refreshing. Unlike him, who reeked of blood. No wonder she liked it; he probably wouldn't dislike it either.

He could almost picture Su Che leaving the room, going to Song Qingyin's side, and whispering to her, "Sister Qingyin, everything's taken care of."

Then, Song Qingyin might nod, or simply say nothing, but her world would return to its neatness and peace once the trouble was dealt with.

And he was that "trouble".

Xi Hanzhou slowly raised his hand and covered his eyes.

A bittersweet, burning emotion surged from the depths of his heart, threatening to incinerate him completely.

The next day, Xi Hanzhou was awakened by the aroma of food.

It wasn't the monotonous, bland synthetic smell of nutritional supplements, but rather the authentic, caramelized aroma of toasted bread and fried eggs from ancient Earth.

His wounds, having healed overnight, were no longer so painful. He propped himself up and sat up. The curtains in the guest room weren't fully drawn, and the morning sunlight streamed in through the gaps, casting a narrow strip of light on the floor.

How long has it been since he experienced such a peaceful morning?

After the Xi family's downfall, every morning of his was filled with vigilance and murderous intent. At the Song family manor, even the occasional moments of tranquility were tinged with calculation and defensiveness. In Blackstone Prison, he couldn't even imagine the difference between night and day.

Xi Hanzhou put on the clean clothes that Su Che had placed by the bedside at some point and walked out of the room.

The aroma was coming from downstairs.

He held onto the handrail of the stairs and walked down step by step. His gaze passed over the railing and fell on the scene in the open kitchen downstairs.

Su Che, wearing a light blue apron, was intently watching the sunny-side-up egg in the frying pan. The edges of the egg white were slightly browned and curled up, while the yolk was plump and had a perfect runny texture. The oven next to him made a soft "ding," and he immediately put on oven mitts and took out two slices of perfectly toasted bread.

Song Qingyin was sitting at a table not far away.

She had changed into a black silk robe, her fiery red hair casually draped over her shoulders. Holding a glass of warm milk, she gazed listlessly out the window. The morning light outlined her perfect profile, and her usually alluring and aloof peach blossom eyes now held a touch of domestic languor.

This scene is as harmonious as a meticulously painted oil painting.

[Wow! It's Su Su's lovingly prepared breakfast!] Qingyu's voice rang out precisely on time. [Host! Who could resist being moved by such a perfect Omega—a woman who's elegant in public, skilled in the kitchen, beautiful inside and out, and obedient? Oh, it's my hard-hearted host.]

Song Qingyin silently rolled her eyes in her mind.

Su Che arranged the fried eggs and toast on a plate and pushed it in front of Song Qingyin. Then, he carefully skimmed off the thin layer of milk skin from her milk glass with a spoon.

Song Qingyin noticed his movement, her brows furrowed slightly, but in the end she said nothing, picked up her cup and took a sip.

Upon seeing this, Xi Hanzhou's pupils contracted slightly.

He recalled a time at the manor when Song Qingyin was in a good mood and allowed him to dine at the same table. A servant brought her milk, but she only glanced at it and never touched it again. At the time, he thought she was just not thirsty, but now he understood that she disliked the creamy skin on the milk.

Su Che knew this detail.

"Qingyin, try this." Su Che handed over a small dish of jam. "It's newly bought blueberry flavor. You should like it."

Song Qingyin picked up a little with the tip of her knife, tasted it, and remained noncommittal.

Xi Hanzhou stood at the corner of the stairs, like an uninvited ghost, watching the silent yet tacit interaction between the two. Every movement of Su Che silently spoke of his understanding of Song Qingyin. And Song Qingyin's frank acceptance was the highest affirmation of this understanding.

The atmosphere between them was so intimate that outsiders couldn't intrude.

This realization caused Xi Hanzhou's eyes to darken slightly.

"morning."

The next second, Xi Hanzhou spoke with a light smile. His demeanor was relaxed, completely unlike his disheveled appearance yesterday. In an instant, he completely destroyed the atmosphere between the two.

Upon seeing the person who arrived, Su Che's smile froze for a moment. He pursed his lips slightly and gave Xi Hanzhou a shy smile. "Good morning, Mr. Xi. I made breakfast. Let's have some together."

Song Qingyin, however, remained completely unfazed, as if she had anticipated this outcome.

Without any hesitation, Xi Hanzhou walked down the stairs and pulled out the dining chair opposite Song Qingyin to sit down.

He was wearing the white loungewear Su Che had prepared for him; the soft fabric clung to his body, accentuating his tall and slender figure. A night's rest had restored some of his health; although his face still bore the marks of injury, his dark green eyes were calm and deep, showing no trace of yesterday's dishevelment.

Su Che's gaze swept between him and Song Qingyin, then he took out a new set of tableware from the cupboard and placed it in front of Xi Han.

“Mr. Xi, your injury hasn’t healed yet. Eating this will help you recover faster.” Su Che pushed the fried egg and toast from his plate in front of Xi Hanzhou, and considerately poured him a glass of warm water instead of milk.

Every action shows the owner's thoughtfulness and consideration.

Xi Hanzhou looked at the breakfast in front of him, then glanced at the glass of milk in front of Song Qingyin, the skin of which had been skimmed off, but didn't touch it.

“I’m not a picky eater,” he said, his voice slightly hoarse from his injury, but his gaze was fixed on Song Qingyin. “Whatever she eats, I’ll eat.”

The use of the word "she" is both flippant and practiced.

Su Che's hand holding the cup tightened almost imperceptibly. Looking at Song Qingyin, who remained motionless, his smile was somewhat forced. "Okay..."

Perhaps it was jealousy at play, but he always hoped that Song Qingyin's gaze would linger on him for a little longer. So, perhaps with a hint of testing in his mind, before Song Qingyin could pick up the milk again, Xi Hanzhou reached out and took the glass of milk she had just drunk from.

Then, with a hint of provocation, he placed his lips on the same spot.

Seeing his actions, Song Qingyin raised an eyebrow in surprise. Su Che, witnessing this scene, truly realized that he was the one who couldn't intrude between the two. No matter how much he tried to numb himself, this was an unchangeable fact. They shared a past he had never been a part of, and in that respect alone, he could never compare to Xi Hanzhou.

He should have realized this as early as yesterday when Song Qingyin took the initiative to bring the person back.

Xi Hanzhou smiled and stared intently at Song Qingyin, saying softly, "It tastes good." But he didn't notice that a drop of milk had accidentally gotten on the corner of his lips.

Song Qingyin's eyes darkened as she looked at the white mark on his lips. She put down her knife and fork, wiped her mouth with a napkin, and then stood up.

"I'm stuffed."

She turned and walked towards the sofa in the living room, her black silk nightgown outlining her slender yet dangerous curves with her movements.

Only Xi Hanzhou and Su Che remained at the dining table.

The atmosphere was so awkward it almost froze.

"Mr. Xi, please enjoy your meal." Almost immediately after Song Qingyin left, Su Che also hurriedly turned and left this oppressive space.
