Quick Transmigration: Only You Are the Desire of My Heart

Chapter 4 Gentle Childhood Sweetheart VS Cold and Aloof Childhood Friend 3

When Chu Hanxi came out of the kitchen after washing the dishes, she saw Song Qingyin slumped in a chair, her eyes glazed over, looking extremely sleepy.

"The medicine must be working. Be good, bear with it for a bit. Get up and walk around to help with digestion. Sleeping right after eating isn't good for your health." Chu Hanqi leaned down slightly, her tone filled with such doting affection that she didn't even realize it herself.

"Hmm~, okay." The handsome face that suddenly loomed large in front of her didn't frighten Song Qingyin. Her mind was not very clear, and she became even more confused by the divine face in front of her. Her humming tone was also a little aggrieved.

Chu Hanqi chuckled softly, then pulled her to her feet, not letting go to prevent her from falling. He led her around the living room. The Song and Chu families lived in the same building, one apartment per floor, with a small square downstairs. He had initially considered taking her down for a walk, but seeing her dazed state, he wasn't too comfortable with the idea and abandoned it.

Because she was too sleepy and increasingly drowsy, Song Qingyin passively followed behind Chu Hanxi. When she heard the voice, she subconsciously opened her mouth, and a sweet taste melted in her mouth.

"It's sweet, what is it?" Song Qingyin smacked her lips, tilted her head, and asked softly.

"Digestive tablets"

"Oh~" She nodded sluggishly, it was hard to tell if she had actually heard him.

"Yinyin, go to Xiaohan's room and sleep for a while. I just changed the bed sheet," Chu's mother's voice came from afar.

Song Qingyin stopped and tilted her head, thinking for a moment. Something seemed off, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. The effects of the medication had made her thinking much slower.

"What's wrong?" Song Qingyin stopped walking, turned to the side, and looked down at the person in front of her.

"Hmm... that's not good." Song Qingyin frowned, thought hard for a moment, and slowly said, "Hanxi doesn't like others entering his room."

Chu Hanxi was taken aback by this answer, his expression unreadable. After a long while, he softly replied, "It's okay, go to sleep. He doesn't mind."

He pulled the person towards the bedroom, his expression gloomy, seemingly lost in thought. After settling the person in, he didn't leave. Instead, he watched as the person lay down on the bed, snuggled up, smacked their lips, found a comfortable position, and fell into a deep sleep. His lips moved slightly, but he said nothing.

He bent down, tucked in the blanket, and quietly left, gently closing the door behind him.

He had just turned around when he saw Chu's mother leaning against the wall, looking at him with a half-smile.

"It's not what you think," Chu Hanxi said calmly, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Tsk, I didn't say anything," Chu's mother shrugged, looking at him with a knowing look that suggested she was trying to cover something up.

Chu Hanqi choked for a moment, then pursed her lips slightly. Without offering any explanation, she turned away, picked up her laptop, and sat on the sofa to prepare for work.

As soon as I opened it, I saw my own slightly upturned lips through the screen, but it felt like I'd been burned, so I quickly pressed them down, applying a little force, which made my lip color even paler.

Song Qingyin slept very well. Her fever had probably subsided, and she felt much better.

He rolled lazily on the bed, stared at the ceiling to wake himself up, and his pre-sleep consciousness returned. He curled his lips into a cryptic smile.

The room was dark, and I had no idea what time it was. I reached out and touched the bedside lamp, then slowly sat up in bed.

Looking around the room under the warm yellow light, it was very clean, and everything was neatly arranged. It wasn't the black-and-white decor of novels; although the furniture was all in cool tones, it felt very comfortable when put together.

She was just like Chu Hanxi, aloof and cold.

I drew back the curtains; it was already dusk outside. The orange-yellow light streamed into the room, making it seem warmer.

After tidying up the room quickly, I opened the door and went out. I walked around for a bit before finally spotting Chu Hanqi on the balcony. Her mother wasn't there; she must have gone out.

He sat in a wicker chair, leaning back with his legs crossed, a laptop resting on his lap. A glass of water sat on a small coffee table not far away. He was still wearing the same black shirt he'd worn that morning, and a pair of gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose. The sunset cast a soft glow on him, softening his otherwise aloof demeanor.

[A refined scoundrel]

[But I love it so much, what should I do? Waaaaah~] In a short time, Qingyu had almost gotten used to her host's rich inner thoughts, so she kept quiet and pretended to be dead.

Song Qingyin couldn't resist secretly taking a few photos with her phone. She wouldn't be stupid enough to leave the shutter sound on; it would be too embarrassing to get caught.

She truly has divine beauty; even unedited photos of her are stunning!

After quietly admiring the view for a while, Song Qingyin finally made some noise and came out.

"Awake? Still burning up?" The clear, cool voice, like a mountain stream, calmed even the most restless heart.

"The fever should be gone, I feel much better." He touched his forehead but couldn't feel anything.

"Wait for me a moment, I'll take you out to eat after I'm done."

"Okay." After thinking for a moment, Song Qingyin pulled up a chair and sat down next to him, poured herself a glass of water, and sipped it slowly. "Are you planning to participate in the computer programming competition jointly organized with University A?"

"You know?" He glanced at the object with his head slightly, his hands still moving, before focusing on his work again.

"Hmm, my roommate mentioned it," Song Qingyin said somewhat casually, looking at the scenery outside, her tone a little unfocused.

Not only had she heard of it, but the original owner had also done her homework on the subject. The original owner studied classical Chinese literature, a completely unrelated major to computer science. In order to have something in common to talk about with Chu Hanqi, she worked hard on those programming textbooks. Unfortunately, she was indeed limited in talent, only understanding seven out of eight things.

In the original storyline, it was during this competition that Chu Hanxi distinguished himself, winning first place and receiving numerous offers from large corporations, all of which he declined. He seemed to be considering starting his own business, and at that time, he had already been with Ji Ying for over a month.

So, what role did Ji Ying play in this?

Song Qingyin unconsciously stroked the cup in her hand, her expression unreadable.

"Okay, I'm done with my work." The sound of the computer shutting down pulled me back to reality, and Chu Hanxi's voice rang out beside me.

"Wait a minute, what do you want to eat?" She stretched her neck, casually placed her laptop on the coffee table, and asked in a low voice.

"Anything is fine, just grab something to eat nearby. Where are your parents? Aren't they coming home for dinner tonight?" After finishing the last bit of water in her glass, she put the glass aside and asked with some confusion.

They eat at the company.

"Oh," Song Qingyin nodded to indicate that she understood.
