Reed looked at the pitch-black scene outside, found a lit torch nearby, and picked it up.

The two of them stepped on the ground, making a sound as they walked on the dirt.

There were birdsong and insect chirps all around, some soothing, others too quiet.

Noelle followed behind Reed, feeling a sense of security looking at his tall stature.

Noelle felt a little sleepy as she walked; after everything she'd been through, she really needed a rest.

Noelle whispered to Reed, "Reedna... let's rest for a bit, I'm sleepy..."

Her voice had the air of a refined young lady, and was even somewhat cute.

Reed, not wanting to waste such good travel time, retorted, "Don't be so fussy, we'll get there soon enough."
