Tef has already received the money to treat his leg, leaving only three members in the guild.

All three people's black crowns were converted into cash, totaling several thousand.

Everyone was happy; after all, with so much money, who wouldn't be happy?

After her initial joy, Rena felt a little uneasy because Alice hadn't arrived yet. Alice was usually punctual, sometimes even early.

Rena stood up and said to everyone, "I'll go check on Liz. She's usually on time for work, but she's not here this time. She might be sick."

Anlisa had already bandaged her wound and said, "In that case, I'll go too."

Rena shook her head. "Your injury hasn't healed yet; it'll be troublesome if it reopens."

Reed looked covered in blood; he had frightened quite a few people on the street.

Reed has gone back to his room, probably to take care of his clothes.

Rena said goodbye and walked out the door to visit Alice.

An hour later... Rena still hadn't returned.

Two hours later...

Three hours later... Rena still hadn't returned.

Anlisa initially thought that Rena had gone shopping with Alice since she hadn't returned after waiting for so long, so she didn't pay much attention.

I dozed off in the guild room for a while, and as I watched the sun begin to set, I realized something was wrong.

These two wouldn't spend this long shopping, especially since the sun was almost setting and there hadn't been a single word from them.

Anlisa hurriedly took out the magic stone that could transmit sound when infused with magic from the counter next to her.

Fortunately, the magic stone still contained a little magic power, and Anlisa called out to it a few times.

But there was no response. Anlisa checked the store to see if there was another magic stone for Rena.

It's possible Rena forgot to bring it, but the result is that the shop doesn't have any magic stones.

Anlisa hurriedly went to Reed's room and knocked on the door.

"Rider! Liz and Reina may be in danger; the situation is uncertain."

Reed opened the door; the previous bloody scene was gone, and the room looked clean.

Anlisa shared her suspicions with Reid, and she suspected that the same gang from before was behind it.

That's the gang that frequently chased after debt collectors and beat Alice; later, Reed crippled and killed most of them.

Soldiers and security personnel then began investigating the gang.

Discovering this gang is like finding rats in the sewers; very few people know about it, and those who do are usually people who have been threatened or extorted.

This resulted in people being completely unaware of the gang's existence, while those who knew about it had generally been threatened but dared not speak out.

Despite searches by soldiers and security personnel, the gang's location could not be found.

Those who had been threatened bravely spoke out, but they provided virtually no information.

Most people said they didn't have any money at the time, and suddenly someone appeared and started asking them to lend them money.

The other party was so persuasive; I was tempted and lent them the money without thinking it through.

A few days later, they found out that someone was demanding repayment of a debt, and they beat the person up and smashed everything in the house.

All that's known is that the group that was beating and shoving the victim belonged to the same gang, but as for the location or any other details, there's absolutely no information.

Imagine this: you've only borrowed money a short time ago, and suddenly a group of people show up demanding repayment. What do they mean by that? Why?

The other party was completely unreasonable and immediately started punching and kicking. Who could withstand that?

The money was originally borrowed because of family difficulties, but being threatened only made things worse. Some people even thought that they might as well take a gamble and fight them.

Unfortunately, the other side outnumbered them, and a few slaps were enough to subdue the man.

In summary, it was a large-scale fraud organization; aside from those who were brutally beaten to death by Red, virtually no one ever successfully resisted.

The security personnel also questioned the gang members who were still alive after being beaten, but they all shook their heads frantically, saying they didn't know anything.

There's a saying that something is more terrifying than death.

After Reed brutally killed those guys, nothing like that happened again in the following days.

Anlisa was also part of the investigation; they had almost forgotten about this fraud gang.

Neither of the two girls has returned to the guild yet, which strongly suggests they may have been targeted in retaliation.

After listening to Anlisa's conjecture, Reed was silent for a few seconds before saying, "What should we do?"

Anlisa asked Reid, "Do you think it's possible that this gang did it?"

Reed thought for a moment and nodded.

Anlisa continued, "In that case, let's go check Alice's house; there might be some clues there."

Anlisa is now very worried that the two women might have been taken somewhere to be tied up, or that they might already be dead.

Because it took so long, I'm still a little scared.

Reed picked up his pickaxe and two water bags from inside the room and then walked out of the shop with Anlisa.

The two rode in a relatively fast carriage to a place not far from Alice's building, where they could just see Alice's house.

The two got off the car here. Seeing that there were no pedestrians nearby, Reed prepared to run across using his amazing speed.

Suddenly, Anlisha stopped him and made a shushing gesture.

Reed looked up and saw two men coming out of Alice's house, seemingly exchanging words.

Anlisa saw that Reed was about to rush forward, so she tightly grabbed Reed's hands.

"Redner! We don't even know where Rena and Liz are right now. Maybe we can find them by following them."

Red said, somewhat puzzled, "If I cut off all four of their limbs, they'll spill everything."

Anlisa shook her head. "It's no use. We tried asking them, but they just wouldn't tell us."

When Anli saw these people who had been tortured beyond recognition but still didn't say anything, she thought to herself how tough they were!

So Reed's idea was useless; after hearing it, Reed could only silently hide away.

Anlisa was now certain that the two men exchanging words were indeed the gang members who had come to collect debts.

Reed, somewhat anxious, asked, "What do we need to do?"

Anlisa watched the two figures walk away and said, "Redner, follow them carefully; you might be able to find their hideout."

"I'm going to check Liz's house for any clues. Don't give yourself away! Understand?"

Reed nodded indifferently. Compared to this kind of stalking, Reed still preferred the simpler method of tearing them to pieces.

But since it was a last resort, Reed could only cautiously follow.

After checking that no one was inside, Anlisa slowly walked in.

There were obvious signs of a struggle inside, but not many.

These marks were likely left by Alice when she resisted after being kidnapped by the gang.

Anlisa didn't know where Alice kept her money, but she guessed it had been stolen.

Anlisa grew increasingly uneasy. Alice had probably been kidnapped that morning, and those two men who came out earlier were likely returning to check if there was any other valuables.

So much time has passed since morning, and Alice's fate is still unknown.

And it's such a coincidence! It just so happens that Alice was kidnapped today, and it just so happens that today is also a highly rewarding group cult-killing mission.

After completing the task, you will definitely need time to rest, and this rest will last for three or four hours.

Anlisa felt like she was being deliberately dragged out of time today.

[End of Main Content] Author's Note:

Recently, everyone has been very concerned about hiring employees, and many people want to know when to start.

I'll answer all of these questions together here.

1. The author will add staff in volume three! It's estimated that volume three will be around 70 pages long.

2. When recommending employees, the recommendations should be reasonable, not too strong, too outrageous, or too abstract.

3: The employees added in Volume 3 may not necessarily be friendly; I might write them as neutral or villains!

4: I will let everyone know when it's time to join the staff!
