I was transported from Lobotomy Corporation to another world.

End of Chapter 40 [The Silver Coin of Fate]

Alice suddenly heard Reed's voice and shrank back under the covers.

Anlisa looked down and rubbed her forehead, thinking, "Ryder really did throw the rest of the wood on the road."

"Reed! Can you please knock before you come in?"

Red said "Oh," and stepped forward, taking out a small knife from his pocket.

Alice looked at Reid with half her face showing, unsure of how to begin.

Reed put the knife on the blanket.

"Your stuff"

Alice looked at the small knife with a somewhat uneasy feeling, then glanced at the two women beside her.

Alice looked down at the blanket and whispered, "I'm sorry... I was too irrational for a moment..."

Seeing this, the two women quickly comforted her. After calming down, Alice looked at Reid.

"Thank you, Reed, you're right."

"I was too excited for a moment, I was really scared at the time..."

“I feel that if I die, I won’t have to go through all this…”

"But when that moment actually came, I was so scared... my heart was beating really fast."

Reed stood still for a few seconds and then said

"There's no need to be so pessimistic. Don't you already have two friends?"

Alice paused for a moment after hearing this, then glanced at Rena and Anlisa beside her.

The three women smiled at each other, and Alice, covered by the blanket, bowed slightly to Reid.

"Red, if it weren't for you back then, I wouldn't be who I am today."

"Brother Reed, you're such a great guy!"

Reed's heart skipped a beat.

Is he a really good person?

Oh, no

I'm not a good person, neither in the past nor now.

Reed didn't reply to that sentence; he neither nodded nor shook his head...

Alice's mood returned to normal after that, and she was soon chatting and laughing again.

Alice also promised she would never harm herself and threw the knife away.

To prevent Alice from doing anything foolish, Rena, Anlisa, and the other two women slept together.

The bed looked small, but it was just the right size for three people to lie down in.

Alice explained that this room originally belonged to her parents.

Reed thought it was too far to go back to the hotel, so Alice agreed that Reed could sleep in the room.

Reed grabbed a few flat planks of wood and a pillow, and slept wherever he could find a spot.

The next day at dawn, the group covered Grandma's body and moved it to the coffin shop.

The three girls thought Reed would leave immediately after waking up in the morning, but to their surprise, Reed agreed to help.

The shopkeeper, unfazed, produced a coffin that fit perfectly.

Then they just randomly found a spot and buried the coffin, very casually and carelessly.

Alice sheds tears every time she goes on the journey.

The matter was resolved after a monument was erected.

The three walked down the street, and Alice was undoubtedly the most downcast.

Reed said he was going to redeem his mission rewards, so he didn't follow.

Rena looked at the dejected Alice and remembered one of her previous plans.

"How about we start a guild?"

The two women looked at Reina in shock upon hearing this. "Guild?"

Rena adjusted her glasses. "That's right, start a guild! I've wanted to do this for a long time!"

"Huh? You know how to manage?" Anlisa asked uncertainly.

Rena pulled a book out of her pocket. "I've read books!"

"Think about it! Running a guild can make so much money! And Ries can be recruited into the guild!"

(=?Д?=) "Huh! Can I...?"

"Lise, have confidence in yourself! Besides, my general store can be converted into a guild."

"Selling items and taking on quests at the same time! It's the best of both worlds, hahaha!"

Anlisa looked at Reina, who was lost in her own thoughts, with a black line appearing on her forehead.

"So what kind of quest should our guild take on? And there are only three of us..."

Rena was momentarily speechless. "Uh... well..."

Alice said, "We can invite Reed..."

Rena snapped her fingers. "Yeah, we can call Reed over here!"

Anlisa said, "He's so strong, he probably joined another powerful guild a long time ago."

Rena said, "That's not necessarily true. We don't have any guild members in our town dressed like that."

"If a guild member from out of town is doing a quest, they won't accept another one."

Alice suggested, "Why don't we go find Reed first?"

Anlisa thought for a moment and nodded. "Let's ask first. I remember he went to a tavern."

[Perspective: Reed]

Red looked up at the open doors of the tavern and suddenly felt a sense of having finally reached the end.

Reed never imagined that all he had to do was accept a quest, complete it, and then redeem the rewards.

But I didn't expect so many things to happen along the way, and now I can finally get the money.

But now that I look so different, I don't know if I'll even be able to get the money.

Then, amidst the curious gazes of the crowd, Reed found the receptionist girl from whom he had first received his assignment.

After some debate, bad news came.

Reed neither got the money nor the magic book, but the process was actually quite harmonious between the two sides.

But because of Reed's imposing presence and attire, everyone at the front desk trembled with fear.

During this time, Reed also took out the quest sheet he had been carrying without his equipment.

This move terrified everyone present, who thought Reed had killed the man and stolen him.

However, the front desk staff had a very good work attitude; after all, only the person on the task sheet could receive the reward.

Reed can't just remove the equipment and accessories and claim that he is who he is.

Red mainly wanted to add some mystery to himself.

The advantage is that this way, Red can play two people!

One is Rhett Butler, dressed in a suit and of average appearance, looking no different from any other passerby except for the suit.

The second is the current Reed, who exudes a domineering and intimidating aura, making him seem unapproachable and mysterious at first glance.

Since they couldn't get the quest, everyone felt they had killed the owner of the quest slip.

If one returns to the initial state, one must not be suspected.

So now Reed...

All that work for nothing!

Reed walked out of the tavern after this outcome.

Reed held the task sheet tightly, crumpling it into a ball.

"I finally managed to complete a task."

"But you can't redeem it for me, hahahaha!"

"Damn!" Reed then tossed the crumpled paper to the left.

Reed took several deep breaths before slowly suppressing his anger.

Those around him were too afraid to approach Red, hoping he would leave quickly.

Reed picked up the bag containing the black stones and shook it.

This black stone was dug out from the center of the stone golem I was fighting.

When I showed the black stone to the receptionist, a few of them recognized it.

This black stone is said to be the energy center of a stone-like being.

To put it simply, it's the heart, and its name is [Black Ore Heart].

[Black Core] This black stone can be found in almost every stone golem, and it varies in quality.

The stronger the Stone Golem, the more expensive and powerful the [Black Heart] becomes, resulting in stronger weapons forged from it.

Conversely, the weaker the stone golem, the more the [Black Heart] becomes, just like any other ore.

The [Black Ore Core] in Reed's hand is of medium quality, meaning its quality is just average.

Although it's just so-so, it can still sell for over 2000 in the market.

The main reason is that there are still fewer than 100 high-quality [Black Ore Hearts] to date.

Reed hung the bag back on his waist and told them to get started on figuring out how to sell the stone.

"Brother Red!" A gentle voice called out, causing those around to tremble.

Reed looked toward the sound and saw Alice jogging over, followed by two others, one in white and one in yellow.

“Brother Reed, we heard you were here to redeem your mission rewards, so we followed you,” Alice said as she walked up to Reed.

Reed nodded. "What are you doing here?"

Anlisa walked over slowly. "We need you for something. Have you joined a guild?"

"no"

Alice felt happy when Reed said no.

Rena said, "We're starting a guild, and we're here to invite you to join!"

Alice looked up at Reid, a little nervous.

The people around them watched with amusement, and everyone seemed to admire the three women, inviting this seemingly intimidating person to join their guild.

Reed thought for a moment and then said, "Do you get paid?"

“Pay your salary!”

Does it include meals and accommodation?

"Oh? Well... meals aren't included, but accommodation is. However, the room needs to be cleaned up right now."

Under the tense gazes of the three women, Reed asked the last question!

"Can I take a break anytime?"

"Uh... is it okay?"

I'm joining.
