Ugh! Someone found a typo! This means the author is being whipped into writing another chapter (x_x;)

In Chapter 31, the character for "Riddle" is wrong! Damn it, it's all Riddle's fault! Riddle, just you wait! You'll get what's coming to you later! ???!(??????)??

The main feature begins now.

Reed didn't think much of it and followed Kate, surrounded by a group of security-like staff.

The two women caught up with Kate and continued to slander Reed, but Kate casually waved them off and had several staff members pull them away.

Reed wasn't afraid of being harmed; if he sensed something was wrong, he could simply take a knife and kill them.

Reed followed Kate up the stairs twice, weaving through the crowds on both sides.

Kate entered a rather ornate room, opened the door with a key she carried with her, and then gestured to her staff to leave only two to follow her inside.

The other employees nodded and went to their posts, leaving only two seemingly capable individuals to follow Kate.

Reed glanced at the two men's weapons; a longsword hung at their waists, and both had old scars on their faces.

Kate and Rhett entered the room, which was somewhat luxurious and resembled a nobleman's meeting room.

It wasn't very big, just the right size, and the room had an orange and yellow color scheme.

A large chandelier hung on the wall, and there were some paintings next to it.

Kate sat down on her own leather sofa, wiped her pipe, and put it in a pipe case.

Reed sat down on the large sofa on the left, with the other two guards standing on either side of Kate.

Kate said in a threatening tone, "Speak."

Reed lay on the sofa with his hands behind his head and his legs crossed.

"I just entered your tavern, found a seat, and noticed it was quite lively over there, so I went over."

"Then I squeezed in and people started looking me up and down, and then there were those two women on either side of you."

"Let me tell you, those two are complete idiots! They were the ones who deliberately started this trouble, and in the end, they used their lackeys to mess with me."

"That guy lying on the ground, half-dead, is that simp. He started it, I just fought back."

Reed spoke simply and directly, finishing his statement in just one minute.

Kate listened attentively with her arms crossed, and when Reed finished speaking, she asked, "What's the name of that simp you were talking about?"

"His name seems to be Casler."

Upon hearing the name, Kate chuckled twice, her previously serious expression instantly vanishing.

"I see, I knew that all along."

Reed was bewildered by Kate's mutterings. What did this brain-mounted light know?

Kate noticed Reed's confusion, but didn't realize that Reed was thinking of himself as Old Man Beeden.

Kate slowly began, "I enjoy chatting with people, sharing stories, and discussing our experiences."

"Cassler actually started taking jobs from me a month ago, which means he's a regular customer here."

"He's not arrogant or conceited; his strength is considered quite good for his age group. He always comes here to celebrate after completing a mission."

"Gradually, everyone got to know this kid, and at first I also thought he was a promising talent."

"I was even considering recruiting him as one of my guards."

"But then... I don't know where this kid met two women, so I investigated him a bit too."

"The two women initially respected him, but perhaps as time went on, they became bolder."

"Those two women started bossing the kid around, and ever since they appeared, he's been getting more and more injuries."

"Then I gave up on this kid. He's too easily fooled and seems a bit cowardly."

After Kate finished speaking, she picked up a glass of water from the table and took a sip.

After hearing this, Reed rolled his eyes and said, "To put it bluntly, isn't he just a simp?"

"They've all been used as pawns, this is outrageous!"

Kate smiled when she heard Reed's words. "He's learned his lesson now."

Reed said, "I bet five bucks that that simp will still listen to those two women."

Kate put down her water glass. "This is the path he chose."

"If there's nothing else, you can leave."

Reed was somewhat surprised. "You believe me so quickly?"

Kate looked at Reid and said, "My gut feeling, and the fact that you don't look like the type to cause trouble."

Reed pointed behind him with his thumb. "Those people outside still need an answer."

Kate slowly stood up. "What's your name?"

"Redner"

"You still need to learn the meaning of respecting elders, Redner. If I weren't in a good mood, I would have had you dragged away and beheaded."

Reed didn't even listen, just stood up and walked out the door.

Kate suddenly asked Reed, "Can you tell me where that coat you're wearing comes from?"

Reed stopped and thought for a moment before saying, "Made from the skin of a monster."

"What's your name?"

"Apocalypse Bird"

Kate thought for a moment, then said with some dissatisfaction, "I've read many books, but I've never heard of a creature like the Apocalypse Bird."

Red didn't explain; instead, he said, "Because I'm not in this world."

Kate was somewhat confused by this answer, as she herself had read books about illusionary worlds and magically created alternate worlds.

However, the words "Apocalypse Bird" did not appear in any of the texts. Although I am getting older, my memory is still quite strong.

Seeing that Reed had no intention of saying anything more, Kate didn't want to argue with this younger man any further.

Reed and Kate walked out the door, and on the way, Reed asked her name.

Kate also revealed her name and led Reed to a place where they could see everyone on the first floor.

This place is exclusively for Kate; she often relaxes here, drinking and watching the guests below.

Kate sat in her seat, while Reed stood leaning against the railing.

People downstairs also spotted Kate and Reid on the second floor.

"Look everyone! Kate Middleton is up there!"

"Really? You finished talking so quickly?"

"Heh, I reckon that blind man's going to get his head chopped off."

"Mr. Kate is brilliant! Kill the cultists!"

"It seems like Lord Kate is really going to kill that man. This is the first time something like this has happened in a year!"

"Previously, because someone got drunk and harassed a waitress, Lord Kate ordered someone to chop off the man's hand."

"Tsk tsk tsk, I wonder how this person died."

Almost everyone below looked at Kate, but almost everyone thought Reed was doomed.

Seeing that enough eyes were on her, Kate quietly quieted down.

Kate began, "This young man's name is Redner. In our conversation just now, he ruled out the possibility that he is not a cultist."

"Secondly, Redner was a victim who injured Kassler in self-defense."

Kate only said two sentences, and the audience erupted in noise.

At that moment, Lifey gritted her teeth, clenched her fists, and shouted, "Kate! Are you going to collude with a cult?!"

"It's pretty obvious, isn't it! This person is dressed strangely! He's using foul language! And everyone here thinks so!"

Xiao Rong chimed in, "Mr. Kate, don't be fooled by this man! I suggest we execute him immediately! With torture!"

Because these two voices spurred opposition from others, Kate's verdict...

Kate frowned upon seeing this and said, "If anyone dares to say another word, I'll rip their tongue out!"

Kate's powerful shout silenced everyone.

Kate called some of the first-floor waiters up and asked them to speak.

Every waiter implied that Reed had been a victim from the moment he returned to the scene.

A waiter on the second floor recounted the entire incident in great detail.

Everyone below was speechless, especially the two women who wanted nothing more than to tear Reid apart.

Reed saw the two women's impotent rage from the stage and shook his hands.

Kate then issued some further warnings and ordered the two women to be thrown out.

Two of the waiters restrained Liffie's arms as she yelled, "What the hell are you doing! Let me go!"

Xiao Rong did the same, and then said to Kate, "We took on so many missions at your tavern! Is this your reward?"

Kate looked at the two women, who still didn't understand the situation, and said sternly, "Don't try to build connections with me! A mistake is a mistake! And mistakes must be dealt with according to the rules here! Don't think that your little tricks to curry favor with me a few days ago will work now!"

"Get those two out of here! And that Kassler too!"

"According to the rules, Li Fei, Xiao Rong, who breaks the rules, will be punished with: all ten fingers or toes!"

"Cassler too."

"Mr. Kate, but he is still unconscious!"

Kate looked at the man and said, "According to the rules!"

"Yes...yes!" The waiter was startled and, carrying Casler on his back, headed towards the door.

The two women realized the seriousness of the situation and immediately changed their tune, begging for mercy, but it was to no avail.

Besides the waiters carrying them out, two security guards followed behind.

Reed felt good about the punishment, and his relationship with Kate improved.

Reed looked at Kate sitting to the side and asked, "Why does everyone call you Master Kate?"

Kate said, "I don't know, maybe it's prestige."

"Looks like you're quite famous. No wonder it's the biggest tavern."

Upon hearing this, Kate laughed and said, "Hahaha! I really didn't expect you to say such complimentary things!"

Reed scoffed and started chatting with Kate. "Should I call you Kate, or Grandpa Kate? I really can't bring myself to say 'Grandpa Kate'."

Kate, however, found Reed's words quite amusing. "Just call me Grandpa. I'm tired of hearing you call me Grandpa, hahaha."

Author's Note: Alright, the main story is over! Now, the author has a few more words to say!

I will answer some questions here.

Will new employees appear after 1? Yes, new employees will appear afterward.

Will there be any Abnormalities after Part 2? Abnormalities are included! There might even be a long chapter dedicated to one or two Abnormalities!

I will post a [Reed poster] in the author's notes later.
