Chapter 9 The Forbidden Book Zone and the Room of Requirement

With Sue's help, Angelina's trip to the forbidden book zone went smoothly, and no Peeves bothered her along the way. After all, Sue really would ask Blood Man Baro to show Peeves what a black hand was.

"This is it, I see it."

"Okay, let's go then. You lead the way."

Suer didn't see anything, but it was enough that Angelina could see it.

"There will be some guardian statues inside, so there might be some fighting involved."

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything. I’ll handle it,” Suer said.

There were indeed many guardian statues on the way to the Pensieve, but they were not a problem. Even without Sull's help, Angelina could clean them up by herself.

"a book?"

Angelina and Sue went to the deepest part, where a book was hidden.

Perhaps sensing the arrival of people, the book hanging above the meditation basin opened automatically, revealing two pages that were missing.

Then, a few drops of dew flowed from the pages of the book and dripped into the Pensieve.

Sue and Angelina exchanged a glance, and at the same time, they stuck their heads into the basin, followed by a long cutscene.

"Wow, this ancient magic is really something else. Those four abbots turned a village facing a drought into a green oasis. If this happened in ancient Greece, they would probably be called the embodiment of abundance."

The moment Suer took his head out of the Pensieve, he exclaimed in amazement.

"Yes, but that young girl named Isidora is just like me. Let's give the book to Professor Figo first."

“Take your time, Anna. Professor Figo is probably still dealing with the Ministry of Magic right now,” Sue said. “Put the books away and wait for Professor Figo to come back. Knowing how the Ministry of Magic operates, even with Black’s help to smooth things over, we probably won’t see Professor Figo until tomorrow morning. We have classes this afternoon.”

"Oh, would Principal Blake really defend the professor? He seemed very serious; I thought he was looking for trouble." Angelina asked Suer with some doubt, though her attitude towards Blake had changed slightly.

"Of course, Blake is just not very friendly, I mean, he seems to be. And Professor Figo is currently affiliated with the school, so even if it's just for his own sake, Principal Blake will help him. After all, if things aren't handled well, it's him, as the principal, who will lose face in the end."

Perhaps I could write a letter to Senior Malfoy and ask him to put in a good word for me, since his father is the one who has the biggest conflict with Principal Black.

The Ministry of Magic's contact with Professor Figo was merely an excuse for Malfoy to put pressure on Black and cause him some trouble. It wouldn't actually affect Black much; even if handled poorly, he'd only lose face.

"Huh? According to you, that Malfoy senior is the son of old Malfoy. Why would he help Black, or persuade his father to give up causing trouble for Principal Black for your sake?"

"Because he was one of the members of my study group, and he was also a student of Slytherin, and old Malfoy was too old to ask for anything from his senior, who was born late in life."

Besides, it would be good to mend the relationship between the Malfoy and Black families, since old Malfoy won't be staying at the Ministry of Magic for many more years, and Minister Farris isn't too happy with him either.

If the relationship continues to strain, Malfoy will be the one who suffers in the end.

Sue knew that Angelina didn't know much about the current magical world, so she only gave a general overview of Professor Figo's situation. She said that with time, the connections would naturally become clear.

……

“Anna, Senior Malfoy has replied to me. He said he has taken care of everything. I’ll take you to see the professor later. Now I’ll take you to a nice place.”

It was already evening. After leading Angelina around a few times, Suer arrived at a canvas in which a mountain monster was hitting a person.

"Welcome to our secret base, Miss Angelina!"

"Wow! The school even has a place like this!"

With a sudden sense of disorientation, Angelina gradually saw a spacious and brightly lit living room appear before her eyes.

Upon entering the living room, one can see many exquisite items arranged in a pleasing and orderly manner. Some of them appear to be magical artifacts, while others look like antiques, though it is unclear whether they are replicas.

Several potted green plants, lush and vibrant, were placed next to the sofas and chairs for resting. Climbing roses hanging from the beams diffused the simulated sunlight from the skylight, adding a touch of tranquility.

Finally, looking up at the wall, one sees animal statues of the four houses hanging there, with the flags of the four houses arranged below.

"Good evening. The reason I've invited everyone here is to introduce a new friend to you all—Angelina Anjou."

Suer addressed the group already present, saying that everyone in the House of Requests knew Angelina, but since she had joined the study group, it was necessary to introduce her.

"Haha, we're all old acquaintances, so Orminis and I won't introduce ourselves. Let Sue introduce the others to you." It was Sebastian who spoke. He was always hanging out with Sue, and Angelina was already very familiar with him. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he was the second most familiar person to Angelina at Hogwarts.

“This is Papi Sweeting, the fifth-year prefect of Hufflepuff, whom I told you about before. I met him a few years ago when I was sneaking food in the kitchen. He’s a future Master of Fantastic Beasts,” Sue introduced to Angelina, then turned to Angelina and asked, “Papi, how’s Swiftwing doing lately?”

"Hello! Angelina, I've heard a lot about you. After all, the story of you being attacked by the black dragon from Hebdiri on your way to school is quite widely known. I'm Papi, and it's nice to meet you."

“Yes, it’s a pleasure to meet you too, Papi,” Angelina said to Papi with a smile.

After greeting Angelina, Papi turned to Suer and said, "He's recovering well and should be fully healed in a few days. Only I can get close to this poor child right now, but I think once he's less cautious, I can bring him to the House of Requirement and introduce him to you."

Papi was naturally overjoyed that Jiyi was willing to get close to her.

“Alright, then good luck. My Golden Wing really needs a friend.” Suer also thought of the Golden Eagle Beast he kept in the Twilight Prairie of the House of Requirement.

"This is Gareth Weasley from Gryffindor. Professor Weasley is his aunt. You probably haven't met him yet, but he has a Potions class tomorrow, which we'll have with the Gryffindors. He's a potion-making genius and might become a Potions Master someday. Of course, we just hope he doesn't get killed by his own crazy ideas."

"Haha, my potions always startle Professor Sharp. He's quite wary of me. And it's nice to meet you, Angelina. We're friends now," Gareth greeted Angelina warmly.

"Of course, we'll be friends from now on."

"This is Amit Sakkah. Here's something I'll tell you: he knows the language of goblins, though he can't speak it."

"Oh, I'm still practicing. I'll be able to speak the goblin language fluently someday. Hello, Angelina, I'm pretty good at astronomy. I think if you've taken astronomy classes, we might become kindred spirits. Amit, from India."

"Hello, Amit. I'm looking forward to astronomy class and hope it will be as interesting as you say."

“Last one! Why don’t you introduce yourself, Quesida!” Suer said to the cute girl with wavy hair, freckles on her face, and short stature.

“Oh, Sur, you…” Quesida feigned an angry expression, as if she had been ignored.

“I’m afraid if you don’t speak, you’ll be using some kind of silent spell again. If you keep keeping silent, believe me, all the students and professors at Hogwarts will be on edge,” Sue joked.

"Come on, hello. I'm Quesida Blum from Gryffindor. Don't believe what Sull just said. He was just mocking my terrible silent spellcasting." Quesida said to Angelina, "Oh, right, here you go. This is something Sull asked me to prepare especially for you. It's moonstone, a magical mineral. You'll need it later."

"Uh, okay, I forgot there's another important member I need to introduce..."
