Since the supervising monks under their command had some conflicts with them, even if they asked the patrolling ghosts about the monks who had followed them, the patrolling ghosts would not say anything, but would just scoff, put down their food, and leave immediately.

Seeing that he could not shake his head, Maitreya said in a serious tone, "The abbots who follow you are unable to uphold justice because they no longer have your protection."

And because they couldn't bear to see suffering, they went to see my disciple. My disciple taught them that if they couldn't see, they wouldn't be able to see suffering, so they all rubbed their eyes shut, ruining their eyes and becoming blind.

Unable to hear Maitreya's words, he trembled all over, and his cheeks began to turn red. That's right, Unable's face turned red!

"Ah! Yellow Eyebrows!" He couldn't even shout angrily; he really hadn't expected that the abbots would be treated this way after he left the temple.

The monks who followed him were all good and conscientious monks who could distinguish between good and evil and kept the precepts.

As a result, they were a group of kind and righteous people, a group of good people!

Did he get so bewitched by that beast Huang Mei that he went so far as to destroy his own eyes?

The reason is utterly ridiculous...

I couldn't bear to think about it, but in the end I accepted reality.

Yes, Huang Mei is a villain. He couldn't possibly know about this matter clearly. How could Huang Mei possibly help the monks who were upholding justice to punish those who committed injustice?

His position determines his thinking; he couldn't wait to drag everyone down with him and put his bullshit path to bliss into practice—a path to bliss that even he, Huang Mei, didn't believe in.

"I regret not rebelling against Huang Mei!" he said through gritted teeth. He bowed to Su Er and Bajie, "Thank you both for killing such a villain as Huang Mei. It's a pity that those abbots actually regarded Huang Mei as a god and Buddha and believed his lies."

Seeing that he couldn't completely sever his master-disciple relationship with Huang Mei, Maitreya released the spell that was suppressing him and said with a smile, "It's not too late to realize this now."

My unworthy disciple taught you no principles, nor did he pass on any magic to you. He was all talk and no action, and he is not worthy of being called your master.

"No, I see that you possess profound Buddhist nature and excellent aptitude. Why not become my disciple? Would you be willing?"

You can't just fold your hands together, press them to the ground, and kowtow three times to Maitreya.

"Namo Maitreya Buddha." After bowing and standing up, he put his hands together and bowed again, saying, "Disciple greets Master."

"Very good, very good! I am very pleased to have such a good disciple today!" Maitreya was also quite happy that he could not become his disciple. The corners of his mouth, which were already turned up, turned up even more.

Maitreya then spoke to the disciple, saying, "I am the ancestor of this lineage, so there are no other ancestral masters you need to pay homage to."

There aren't many rules for my disciples. The only rules I need to tell you are to guide people towards goodness, which you've already done, so I won't say more.

Since you have accepted me as your master, you should no longer use your old Dharma name.

I observe that you possess a kind heart, are eager to help others, uphold righteousness, and have a steadfast and unwavering will. What then is the meaning of "goodness and righteousness"?

“Thank you, Master, for bestowing upon me this Dharma name. Your disciple, Shanzheng, bows in gratitude.”

No, oh! No, it should be Shanzheng. He bowed to Maitreya again. From now on, Shanzheng was no longer Huangmei's disciple. If Huangmei were still alive, he would have to call him junior brother.

After Maitreya finished accepting his disciples, he turned to Su'er and asked, "Besides the Golden Body and the Forbidden Word Technique, is there any other magic that the Chosen One wants to learn?"

"Is there any magic you can teach me?" Suer asked as he stepped forward.

"Haha, there are many more, let me tell you: I know all the methods of reform, I can teach how to ward off fire and water, I can summon wind and rain, pray for fog and clear skies, I can do everything with spear, club and sword... I can refine my Heavenly Eye to break through illusions, I can transform into a giant god by following the laws of heaven and earth, and grow three heads and six arms..."

After thinking for a while, Suer finally figured out what kind of magic he wanted to learn: "I want to learn the magic of manipulating the heavens and the earth."

The ability to transform heaven and earth is a great supernatural power; one can instantly rise ten thousand feet high!

How tall is it? 3.33m.

Ten thousand feet high is more than thirty-three thousand three hundred meters. If a person uses the Law of Heaven and Earth, then the so-called Kunlun Immortal Mountain is nothing but a mound of earth underfoot, and Mount Everest is nothing but a stepping stone that can be crossed in one step!

Moreover, ten thousand feet is just ordinary. The Great Sage once said: I, Old Sun, have the means to subdue dragons and tigers, and the supernatural power to overturn rivers and seas; I can see appearances and distinguish colors, and listen to sounds and discern meanings; I can measure the universe on a large scale, and be contained in a hair on a small scale; I can change endlessly and be unpredictable in appearance and disappearance.

According to the Great Sage, the great supernatural power of "Law of Heaven and Earth" can infinitely increase or decrease in size!

"You don't need me to teach you how to follow the laws of heaven and earth; someone else will teach you. I almost forgot to tell you that there's an old friend who's always wanted to see you! But you'll need to pass some tests before you can see him."

Upon hearing Su'er's words, Maitreya suddenly remembered Yang Jian's entrustment and felt somewhat embarrassed, as he had almost forgotten this important matter.

"Then it's all up to Buddha's will." Su'er cupped his hands and simply let Maitreya choose a good one for him. After all, apart from great supernatural powers like the Dharma of Heaven and Earth, there were some low-end spells like the God-Driving and Blade-Swallowing spells. The rest were all pretty much the same.

"Well, I won't teach you the great supernatural power of 'Law of Heaven and Earth,' so I'll just give you another spell instead."
