All the heavens began with Huo Yi

Chapter 48 The Monk of Liusha River, Mingdaogui

Things in the Law Ring world became routine. After a few days, feeling a bit bored, Sull once again entered the Black Myth world.

As for the world of Huo Yi, there was indeed nothing going on, so when Su Er went back this time, he specifically sought out Principal Black and applied for a long vacation.

Sue's leave request was easily approved, since Black felt that Sue could have graduated long ago.

This means that Sue's long holiday will last until Christmas in fifth grade.

Professor Weasley reminded Sue not to forget the OWLS exam.

……

"Wow, what a big river! There's even a thatched hut by the river. It seems the people who live there aren't ordinary people, otherwise the tide would have swept the hut away."

Suer was curious about the owner of the house, so he dispersed and landed on the ground, walking towards the thatched hut in front of him, which was built on a stone tablet.

Upon closer inspection, three large characters were written on it: "Liusha River".

Looking at the stone tablet, Su'er thought to himself that he had arrived at this place. A little further ahead would be the Wuzhuang Temple of the Great Immortal Zhenyuanzi.

Just as Su'er was considering whether to visit Wuzhuang Temple, waves suddenly surged in the Liusha River.

Looking over, Suer saw a huge dragon's head emerging from the water, with red whiskers, a blue face, and two rows of fangs.

The dragon leaped out of the river and, upon reaching the riverbank, immediately transformed into a human. Looking at the bald head, it turned out to be a dragon worshipping Buddha.

The monk was carrying a person in his hand. He threw the person to the ground and, with a burst of magic, the person spat out a mouthful of water.

"Whose son are you, playing in this river? Didn't your parents tell you that this river is off-limits?" The monk shouted at the young man who had regained his senses.

When the young man regained consciousness and saw the monk, he immediately struggled to sit up and bowed to him. "Thank you, Master Daogui. I was provoked here by my friend Liu Yong from the village. He boasted that he was the best swimmer and could swim in the Liusha River for half a day. We argued, and I came here because I was not convinced."

The monk named Dao Gui snorted when he heard what the young man said, and breathed heavily on the young man's face. The young man's pale face instantly became much rosier.

Seeing this, the monk Daogui continued, "It's one thing to treat such nonsense as a joke, but you're a grown man who can be the pillar of the family, yet you do such a foolish thing. It's fortunate that I'm by this river every day, otherwise, would you be dead? Alright, hurry home and don't worry your parents."

"Thank you, Master Daogui, for saving my life!" After expressing his gratitude, the young man kowtowed three times respectfully before hurrying back to his home in the village.

After the young man left, the monk Daogui's expression relaxed. He chanted a Buddhist prayer before speaking again, "Benefactor, there is no one left. Why don't you show yourself?"

"Hehe, Master, you have a good eye." Su Er then transformed back into his original form from a bush and said with a smile, "Master, your chanting of Buddha's name has not been in vain. Saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda."

When Suer appeared, the monk was clearly stunned for a moment, but quickly returned to normal.

The moment of surprise was so quick and subtle that even Suer, who was usually good at reading people, didn't notice it at all.

"Haha, you flatter me, benefactor. Whether one practices Buddhism or not, it doesn't affect one's goodness." The monk Daogui laughed and walked towards Su'er, grabbing Su'er's arm and pulling him towards the thatched hut. "Come, come, come in and have a chat with this humble monk."

After entering the house, the monk Daogui warmly invited Suer to sit on a small stool, and then took out a rough bowl and scooped out two spoonfuls of water.

“Here, benefactor, although it is just a bowl of water, it is all I have in this humble room. Please forgive my crudeness.” The monk handed the bowl of water to Suer, smiling as he touched his bald head.

"It's alright, it's alright, it's a small gift but a big sentiment." Suer said, taking a couple of sips of water. The water wasn't clear and cool; instead, it was slightly bitter, probably because it had too many minerals.

"Are you traveling west, benefactor?" the monk asked.

“That’s right, I come from the East.”

"You must have suffered a lot along the way, right? There are many monsters in the towering mountains." The monk sighed and said, "This world is difficult. Alas, the true scriptures cannot save people. My abilities are meager, so I can only save myself."

"Hehe, Master, why bother yourself? When you're poor, you should cultivate your own virtue; when you're rich, you should help others. It's already good enough if you can save yourself and not harm others."

"Well said, benefactor." The monk slapped his thigh, praising Su'er's words. The knot in his chest had been mostly untied, but he lowered his head, and there was still a look of shame in his eyes.

"It's just some wisdom from our predecessors."

After chatting with the monk Daogui for a few more minutes, Suer got up to take his leave.

The monk was a straightforward man. Seeing that Su'er was about to leave, he saw Su'er to the door and said to Su'er before he left, "Benefactor, there is a Wuzhuang Temple on Longevity Mountain ahead. You can stop there and ask for a cup of tea. The host there will definitely be a hundred times better than me."

After bidding farewell to Daogui, and crossing the 800-li Liusha River, we arrived at Wanshou Mountain after a short while of riding the wind.

Longevity Hill is also a blessed land of immortals. When Tang Sanzang arrived here, he exclaimed that the scenery was really beautiful. He immediately straightened his clothes, thinking of going to pay homage to the World-Honored One, Tathagata.

Even after Wukong revealed that Wanshou Mountain was far from Leiyin Temple, the group on their pilgrimage still felt that the person living there was a sage of high virtue.

Riding the wind high in the sky, it was easy to see the location of Wuzhuang Temple. Su'er accelerated and arrived at the entrance of Wuzhuang Temple in an instant.

A couplet is engraved on both sides of the entrance:

A house of immortal immortals, a Taoist house with the same longevity as heaven.

The door was tightly shut, so Su Er went up and knocked on the door knocker three times.

Although the sound of the iron ring striking the door was not loud, two children quickly opened the door.

The two children were also surprised to see Suer. One of them, who looked at the older child, immediately put on a smile and stepped forward to bow.

"I wondered why the magpies were chirping so much today. It turns out we have some guests coming to visit. My apologies for not welcoming you sooner. I am Qingfeng, and he is Mingyue." Qingfeng said, extending one hand in a gesture of invitation.

Mingyue ran ahead and opened the second-floor door first.

"I'll take you to see my master. With him here at our Wuzhuang Temple, there's no need to worry about the outside world. If you'd like, you can rest here for a while." Qingfeng led Su'er enthusiastically into the temple.

Su'er and Qingfeng Mingyue were no ordinary people. In just half an incense stick's time, they had already climbed half the mountain and arrived at the main hall of Wuzhuang Temple.

As expected, the Three Pure Ones were not on the altar in the main hall; instead, the words "Heaven and Earth" were written on it.

"Please have a seat, guest. Master will be here shortly." Qingfeng pulled out a grand chair, while Mingyue carried a tray of tea.

Suer sat down as he pleased, and Mingyue poured tea and handed it to him.

"Thank you, Mingyue. I can make the tea myself."

"Guests, there's no need for such formalities. Just give your instructions," Mingyue said with a smile. That monkey who suffered from the plague a hundred years ago is now so polite. It's truly unpredictable how things turn out.

"Haha, isn't it a joy to have friends coming from afar?"

A burst of laughter rang out, and a Taoist priest with white hair and a youthful face, dressed in an apricot-yellow robe, stepped into the main hall.
