Welcome to the Misogyny Game

Chapter 88 Even in dire straits, she still instinctively saved people.

Even when everyone else has forgotten you, I will still remember you.

As the zombie outbreak occurred, bloodied hands carried away familiar figures one by one. Liu Chaoque ran frantically, but the number of people around her dwindled, and the screams grew louder until finally, she was all alone beside her.

The blurry faces, their features indistinct, the bloody hands quickly transformed into dark tentacles, enveloping them.

"Siman! Help!"

Liu Chaoque turned his head and saw the face of Nan Chu.

"Hu, hu, hu."

Liu Chaoque clutched his chest, trying to calm himself down after being woken up by a nightmare.

Sweat beaded on her forehead as she recalled the scene from her dream. She only remembered Nan Chu calling her name. Finally, she regained consciousness just as she was about to be captured. Had she escaped? Liu Chaoque closed her eyes, hoping to continue the story.

At seven o'clock in the morning, Liu Chaoque, wearing pajamas and rubbing his sore temples, walked out of his room.

Mu Li and the others were still asleep, so she went straight into the bathroom and started brushing her teeth and washing her face.

She half-closed her eyes, her mind still half-asleep, and in that half-awake state, she seemed to have returned to that dream.

"Save me, Siman, I am not myself now."

She heard the person on the other end say that.

"Hey, how come you fell asleep while brushing your teeth?"

The tap was left running, and water was gushing into the sink. Liu Chaoque stood blankly in front of the mirror, still brushing his teeth. The electric toothbrush was still working diligently, but it was only brushing the same spot.

Liu Chaoque hurriedly patted his face and started brushing his teeth haphazardly. What should have been a three-minute brushing session felt like he hadn't brushed for long before the toothbrush stopped working.

She had to spit out the toothpaste and brush her teeth again.

"What are you thinking about?" Mu Li asked casually, leaning against the door frame.

"Did I have a dream while I was spacing out just now?"

Liu Chaoque herself wasn't sure if it was a dream or not. After all, she had only fallen asleep while standing, and she had only encountered this when she was very sleepy. Moreover, the person seemed to have said something, but she couldn't remember it at all now.

Didn't you sleep well last night?

Looking at Liu Chaoque's bruises, Mu Li said, "Why are you up so early when you're not going to school?"

"I had a nightmare. It's probably because I always go to school at this time, so my biological clock is starting to kick in," Liu Chaoque answered his questions one by one.

"What kind of nightmare?" Mu Li asked curiously.

"I forgot," Liu Chaoque replied.

"Ok."

She quickly finished brushing her teeth, washing her face, and applying skincare products, then left the bathroom to Mu Li. Mu Li closed the door, cutting off any outside prying eyes.

Then the sound of water came from inside.

Lately, everyone's morning routine has been irregular. Liu Chaoque opened the refrigerator, took out some steamed buns and boiled an egg, poured herself a glass of soy milk, and that was her breakfast for today. While waiting for the food to cook, she returned to her room and recalled the dream she had earlier.

Perhaps it's her habit, but she only feels fear when she's dreaming about nightmares. As long as they're not particularly illogical, she'll write them down as material for her future novels. Of course, this material isn't limited to nightmares; she'll also write down pleasant dreams if they're logical.

Sometimes in her dreams she would recite some very beautiful ancient poems that she probably hadn’t memorized. She would remember them very clearly when she first woke up, but if she didn’t try to remember them then, she would forget them completely after a while. Even if she forced herself to remember them, she would forget them as soon as she turned her head.

I can't remember at all.

This is Liu Chaoque's current state. The only thing she can remember is that they seemed to be chased by zombies, but she can't recall why they were being chased by zombies or what Nan Chu had said to her.

This dream was like a fragment; I couldn't make sense of it at all.

"So, will they have another mass exodus like this in the future?"

Liu Chaoque knew that a zombie outbreak would occur after they graduated, plunging the entire population into a wasteland. But why was it happening on campus? Could it have happened around the time they received their diplomas?

She was puzzled.

"Your steamed buns are ready."

Mu Li's voice came from outside the door, and Liu Chaoque opened the door.

What are you thinking about, so intently?

"She's been like this for a while now, maybe she's still thinking about her nightmare?"

Even Mo Yun, who came out for dinner later, noticed Liu Chaoque's unusual behavior. Hearing Mu Li's explanation, he asked curiously, "What nightmare?"

Liu Chaoque shook his head: "I just feel like there's something very important, but I think I've forgotten it."

“Dreams are always the opposite of reality. If it’s a good dream, we say it’s a dream come true; if it’s a nightmare, we say it’s the opposite of reality. Anyway, I even dreamed that I was running naked. In reality, I’ve only ever encountered one thing that seemed really embarrassing,” Mu Li comforted herself with her own example.

“Yeah, if you can’t remember, don’t think about it. Maybe you’ll remember dreaming about it sometimes.” Mo Yun added, “Let it be. Maybe it was just a random dream?”

"The more you think about this dream, the less you can remember it. You might as well eat properly and go out again today to see if your bad luck has dissipated," Mu Li tried to distract Liu Chaoque.

"Too."

Why think so much? I can't even leave the house right now.

Ever since the counselor approved the leave, Mu Li has been taking Liu Chaoque out every day. After dodging a falling object from a height and a car suddenly rushing in from outside the green belt, almost hitting Liu Chaoque, they have started wearing various protective gear.

Final decision...

"Should I wear the Screaming Chicken or the Sad Frog costume today?" Liu Chaoque put on his helmet and chose a suitable mascot costume in the fitting room.

This mascot costume was manufactured by a toy factory that Muli had urgently acquired. He also added an automatic temperature control system, making it comparable in function to a spacesuit.

Despite its bulky exterior, it is very comfortable inside, truly demonstrating how technology can change lives.

"How about we wear Happy Bear outfits?" Mu Li took out two black and white panda costumes, one with a small crown and the other with a small black top hat.

He handed the black top hat and panda costume to Liu Chaoque.

Liu Chaoque had little involvement in choosing the mascot costume.

After putting on their mascot costumes, the two little bears went out to work. Their job was simple: to successfully go to the mall or amusement park.

Because of their adorable appearance, children would often stop to watch them. Just as they were begging their parents to touch them, Liu Chaoque slipped and spun away like a little top.

You mustn't get close!

Fearing falling objects from heights, the two avoided residential buildings and high-rises when they ran, but unfortunately, it started to rain before they had gone far.

They had no choice but to drag their soaking wet bodies to the front of a shop to take shelter from the rain.

Perhaps even as punishment, the system wouldn't be too outrageous; the two hiding at the hardware store entrance didn't end up being used as magnets.

The hardware store's sign was old and, when the sky cleared up, it fell down with a whoosh as they left.

Thump, it fell to the ground, leaving only a single gold character hanging forlornly on the house.

Liu Chaoque and Mu Li left unhurriedly, leaving the boss who had come out to check on the situation.

The area is very slippery after it rains, and if a car is driving fast, its tires will slip.

At a time like this, Liu Chaoque didn't even dare to cross the road, for fear that a large truck might suddenly appear and hit her. It would be one thing if she were hit, but if she also caused harm to passersby, then she would be in big trouble.

She bent over and slid down from the undercarriage of a large truck, then braced herself on the roof of a small car and performed a difficult vaulting maneuver, traversing the roofs of various vehicles, spontaneously staging a full-blown brawl.

A car skidded off the bike lane and crashed into a vendor's vehicle, leaving drivers stuck in traffic shouting, "Wow!"

Liu Chaoque, who wasn't planning to buy food and was just passing by, said, "Why don't you just go home and stay there?"

Mu Li, who thought that today was just a sign hitting her head and there were no other problems, skillfully pulled the grief-stricken vendor and connected her to the traffic police brigade.

"Yes, there was a traffic accident at Xingyuan Road and Hongfeng Street. A white car drove out of the bicycle lane and hit a small vendor who was setting up a stall on the pedestrian street."

"It's alright, just some property damage, no one is seriously injured."

"Okay, you guys handle it."

After hanging up the phone, Mu Li and Liu Chaoque told him to find a safe place to stay first, and to talk about anything else after the traffic police arrived. Still shaken, the vendor remembered that he had been given a second chance at life: "Okay, sure."

The two decided to turn back, since what had happened that day had already shown that it was not a safe day either.

In order not to disturb other people's normal lives, the two little bears slunk away home.

They continued to avoid buildings and main roads, traversing narrow alleys they had never been before, dark and gloomy, making Liu Chaoque feel as if someone might suddenly jump out and rob her.

The two of them got back to the main road without any problems.

She looked at the map in her hand. In order to avoid crowds, they had to use a paper map so that they could better plan their route. They didn't care about convenience, they just wanted to avoid crowds.

As they drew closer to their destination, Liu Chaoque's anxiety gradually subsided.

"Fortunately, nothing happened on the way back."

Liu Chaoque was talking to Mu Li.

Suddenly, she heard someone scream.

"Help!"

"Siman, save me!" The voice overlapped with the one in his dream. Acting faster than thinking, Liu Chaoque was standing under the building again.

A woman in pajamas was clinging to the window frame, her feet dangling in the air, with only her hands struggling to support her.

She cried out, wanting someone to save her. The people below were extremely anxious, but it would take time for the firefighters to arrive.

People brought out thick blankets from their homes, stacking them layer upon layer, hoping to cushion her fall.

The girl seemed exhausted. Her grip on the window frame gave way, and with a thud, she closed her eyes and, like a butterfly, fluttered down from the tenth floor, her hair flying everywhere. Even though she was unwilling, she embraced the world one last time.

"boom."

It seems like the pause button was pressed, and all sound disappeared.

The girl slightly opened her eyes. How amazing! It turns out that death isn't so painful after all.

"Are you ok?"

The angel is a giant panda dressed in a black and white outfit.

She passed out.
