Kevin shielded Mei behind him. "Mei, stay hidden." Kevin and Sue nodded as if to say, "Let's attack together."

"Are you going to go one by one or all at once?"

Kevin and Sue rushed up as soon as they finished speaking.

Kevin and Sue became extremely alert and swung their metal rods at me.

I chuckled and dodged the two attacks.

Kevin asked somewhat warily, "Is such speed normal for a human?"

I instantly moved between Kevin and Sue. With a light punch, Kevin flew backward.

Sue and Mei shouted, "Kevin, are you alright?"

"Ahem, cough, cough, I'm fine."

I suddenly appeared next to Mei. "Of course he's fine. After all, I never kill anyone who isn't my target."

When Kevin saw me appear beside Mei, he stood up despite the pain and rushed towards me.

Looks like I have no choice but to beat you into submission. Now, I appeared behind Kevin. Sue saw me and quickly swung a stick at my head, but I didn't dodge.

It hit me on the head with a loud thud. But Sue noticed I wasn't unconscious.

I smiled wickedly. "Aren't you curious why I didn't pass out?"

Forget it, I'm not playing with you guys anymore. I pulled a dark, menacing gun out of my system space.

"Oh no!" Kevin rushed in front of Mei, wanting to shield her from the bullets.

The next moment I pulled the trigger

bang

A white flag popped out.

Kevin, Sue, and May were stunned by what they saw.

Seeing their reaction, I said, "Sorry, sorry. I just saw how wary you were, so I had an idea to play a trick on you."

But Kevin and his team remained very cautious. "Don't be nervous, I apologize for what I did before."

Kevin and the other two exchanged bewildered glances, unsure how to respond. After a moment of silence, Kevin slowly spoke, "Your behavior is truly baffling. Why should we believe your apology?"

I sighed softly, put the gun back in the system space, and then raised my hands to indicate that I meant no harm. "I know my actions have made you uneasy, but I truly meant no harm."

Mei looked at me, her eyes still wary, but now tinged with doubt. "Why did you suddenly change your attitude? What is your purpose?"

I said awkwardly, "I met a man who looked a lot like you before, and he beat me up. I barely managed to escape from there."

"Then I saw that you looked a lot like him, so I thought that beating you up would be a way to get revenge."

Sue frowned, seemingly considering whether my words were credible. "How can we be sure you won't attack us again?"

"It's very simple. If I really wanted to kill you, it would be too easy." With that, I squeezed the iron rod in Su's hand into an iron ball.

"Whether you believe me or not is irrelevant. I just want to warn you that a disaster called Honkai is about to occur in this world."

Mei adjusted her black-rimmed glasses. "What is collapse?"

"Honkai is a type of disaster that occurs periodically, erupting every so often, but the specific timing of the eruption is completely unpredictable."

"Its manifestations are unpredictable, including various extreme natural or man-made disasters such as war, infectious diseases, climate disasters, and comet impacts, all of which can be forms of collapse."

"Moreover, the Honkai will erupt and produce a special energy called Honkai energy."

"Honkai energy can corrupt living beings, potentially turning them into Honkai creatures or zombies. Honkai creatures possess immense attack and destructive power, posing a serious threat to humanity and the world. Zombies, on the other hand, are mindless beings who have lost their self-awareness and only obey the will of Honkai—in short, zombies."

"This is Honkai."

Su said with some doubt, "Why would you tell us these things? And since you know so much, you must be an official."

"I'm not an official. I just happen to know these things. As for why I'm telling you, it's simply because I think you have the right to know."

Kevin and the other two fell into deep thought, clearly shocked by this sudden news. After a while, Kevin looked up, his eyes revealing determination: "Now that you've told us all this, we can't just sit here and wait to die. Do you have any ideas on how to deal with the Honkai?"

I shook my head. "There's no other way. I'm telling you this mainly so you can be mentally prepared when the Honkai erupts."

"Another thing is that when Honkai energy reaches 1000HW, it will produce a creature called Herrscher, and the Herrscher is the ultimate manifestation of the laws of physics."

Mei was taken aback. "According to you, every Herrscher should be able to easily destroy the entire world."

"Each Herrscher's potential is indeed enough to destroy a planet, but that's only if they have enough time to grow to that level."

Upon hearing my words, Mei seemed to realize something. "So, does that mean a Herrscher had already been created before?"

"Herrschers did emerge, but they were quickly eliminated by the authorities."

Mei wanted to ask something more, but I interrupted her, saying, "Speaking out more might lead to your death."

Hearing this, Kevin and Sue roughly understood what Honkai was.

I waved to them with my back turned and said, "You'd better not reveal that you know about the Honkai. Mei is alright, she might be recruited as a researcher, but the other two are a different story." As my words reached their ears, they were surprised to see my body disappear.

Kevin exclaimed in shock, "Su, Mei, did you see that? He... he disappeared!"

“We saw Kevin too; this must be his special ability.” Mei couldn’t hide the surprise in her eyes.

"He told us these things, meaning that our Changkong City might experience a collapse."

Sue and May didn't completely believe me. They started speculating about my motives, while Kevin waited for May's conclusion.

At this moment, Wang Tang activated her invisibility and strolled around the large city of Changkong. "What a pity, such a beautiful city will be destroyed by the Collapse soon."

Walking up to a food stall, I saw that it was a stinky tofu shop.

My stomach started rumbling in protest.

"Damn it, why do I get hungry as soon as I see delicious food? System, give me 100,000 in cash."

The system message reads: "Congratulations, host, you have received 100,000 in cash. 100 points will be deducted."

I went to a secluded spot to deactivate my invisibility and walked back to the food stall.

"Boss, one serving of stinky tofu, please."

"Alright, please have a seat, sir."

The owner very warmly invited us to sit down and started frying the tofu.

"Young man, judging from your appearance, you must be from China."

"Yes, I recently came to Changkong City for sightseeing. I can tell you're from China too, boss."

"Yes, I've lived in this city for a long time, and I occasionally run into people from my hometown."

"That's quite a coincidence."

After exchanging a few pleasantries with the owner, the stinky tofu arrived.

"Hey bro, do you need a bag for your stinky tofu?"

"No need, boss, just add more chili for me, I'll take it and eat it."
