Chapter 9 Finding Fault

Old Jiang arrived slowly, asking, "What's all the commotion about?"

He felt much better after a good night's sleep and wasn't angry about what happened with Gu Nuannuan last night.

After he sat down, he noticed that Gu Nuannuan was alone and asked, "Nuannuan, where's Chenyu? Go and call him downstairs for dinner." Gu Nuannuan looked at the empty seat next to her, wondering how she could bring up the fact that Jiang Chenyu wasn't home.

The butler understood Gu Nuannuan's predicament and said, "The second young master wasn't home last night; he probably went to the company."

"What! Going to the company on your wedding night? Didn't I tell you to keep an eye on things? Why didn't anyone tell me last night? Are they all planning a rebellion?" Old Jiang was furious upon hearing this.

Wei Aihua said sarcastically, "If you don't like the people lying next to you, you have to stay far away from them."

Mayor Jiang was also furious. "Shut up!"

On the second day after the bride entered the family, she was bullied to such an extent despite remaining silent.
