Interstellar Orphanage Cultivates Bai Ze Cubs to Be Omniscient and Omnipotent
Chapter 79 Returning Home, A Warm Welcome
Hanzo has been listless these past few days.
He has asked the old man in command of the starship to send the coordinates to Wenze's family, and he believes there will be results soon.
He tried the simple method of circulating energy taught by Wen Ze, and although it did not achieve the same obvious effect as the first time, it still relieved his pain considerably.
Sigh, now I'm even less willing to release them.
The black lion twitched its ears in annoyance, and then gave its carefree younger brother a good beating.
Hansen: No? What happened to me now??
Using the star coins given to him by Gunnar, Xiao Liang once again led his old comrades to the Black Gold City in the Sunken Land.
He gritted his teeth, looking at Wen Ai who had been pulled out of the starship: "We're going to the Sunken Lands, not to play around!"
Wen Ai appeared petite and delicate among the group of fierce-looking orcs, yet her aura was astonishing: "I know! That's why I'm even more determined to go. What if Xiao Ze gets hurt!"
Xiao Liang sighed, "If you get lost, I'm not planning on getting you out." Hearing his agreement, Wen Ai reverted to her polite demeanor, leaving onlookers speechless.
As Wen Ai watched as they drew closer to Black Gold City, her heart was entirely focused on Xiao Ze, whose situation was unknown to her. She was somewhat anxious and paced back and forth frequently.
After disembarking from the starship, they arrived at an inconspicuous courtyard as designated. Pushing open the door, they found a hidden world inside, but it was too quiet.
Xiao Liang flicked his tongue. There was a powerful orcish aura here. He conjured a snake tail and became alert to his surroundings.
The box full of medicine was put down, and they slowly left.
"Teacher Wen!" At this moment, a voice she had been longing for made Wen Ai turn around sharply!
Wen Ze transformed into a little white dog, burying his head in him and wagging his tail excitedly.
The moment Xiao Liang stepped into the house, Wen Ze heard their unspoken thoughts. He swiftly crossed the porch, transforming into a white lightning bolt, and rushed straight towards Wen Ai. Wen Ai stretched out her hands and steadily caught the little white dog that lunged at her.
"Xiao Ze, are you alright?" Wen Ai's voice trembled as he carefully examined Wen Ze's body, afraid of missing any injury.
Wenze wagged his tail and nuzzled Wen Ai's hand affectionately, as if telling her through his actions that he was alright. "Teacher Wen, I'm fine, you don't need to worry." Wenze's voice carried a hint of playfulness, but more than anything, it was filled with longing for Wen Ai.
"Let's go, this place isn't safe." Xiao Liang's voice interrupted Wen Ai and Wen Ze's intimacy. His eyes were sharp, like his snake tail, ready to deal with any potential danger.
Wen Ai nodded. He knew Xiao Liang was right; they couldn't stay here any longer.
Wen Ze's ears twitched; he seemed to have heard something.
Suddenly, Xiao Liang stepped in front of Wen Ai and threw out a water shield, blocking the surging flames.
As the flames subsided, Hanzo's appearance was revealed. The Black Lion was a master of stealth, making no sound whatsoever. His arrogant eyes and hostile gaze swept over the crowd: "To take without asking is to steal!"
Xiao Liang raised an eyebrow: "You space pirate have the nerve to accuse us of stealing? You're shameless for trafficking children!"
Since Hanzo formed the Black Lion Star Map Stealing Team, no one dared to insult him to his face. He was so angry that he almost fell backward: "Where did this stinking snake come from, daring to steal from my Black Lion? Doesn't he even know who he is?"
"Hanzo, this is... my family..." Wen Ze spoke up in time, interrupting the two who were about to draw their swords.
"When adults are speaking, cubs shouldn't interrupt!" The two were like roosters fighting with bloodshot eyes, refusing to listen at all, so Wen Ze had to step in.
The extremely concentrated scent of bamboo leaves wafted on the wind, like a high-purity bamboo leaf wine. At first, the orc only found it pleasant, but gradually he realized something was amiss. This was a method of use that Wen Ai had figured out, and it had been very useful when he was displaced.
But Hanzo was a seasoned veteran who had been through countless trials and tribulations. Upon realizing something was amiss, he immediately avoided the fragrant breeze and burned the bamboo leaf incense to ashes with a burst of fire.
He calmed down, ignoring everyone else, and turned to look at Wen Ze: "You're going back with these people?"
“Yes.” Wen Ze had been in contact with him for the past few days and was not afraid of him at all, looking at him stubbornly.
This was the first time Hanzo had felt so frustrated with a little brat; he was stubborn, disobedient, and truly…
It really looks just like him.
Humph.
Hanzo grinned, waved his hand, and left Wen Ze with only his back turned: "Get lost."
Wen Ai sensed something was amiss; this wasn't the kind of conversation one should have between a kidnapper and a hostage. He said, "Thank you for taking care of Wen Ze these past few days. The medicine has been placed in the designated location. Goodbye."
Delay could lead to unforeseen circumstances, so Xiao Liang and his group covered the rear and left Han Zuo's stronghold.
Once on the starship, Wen Ai's heart finally settled down. That orc was terrifying; if he had insisted on stopping her, who knew what might have happened.
He examined Wen Ze again, turning him over and over, and after confirming that there were no external injuries, he remarked that Wen Ze had lost weight. Wen Ai's eyes welled up with tears, and after suppressing them, she quickly asked Wen Ze how he had escaped.
Wen Ze recounted the whole story, and Wen Ai felt her heart pounding. If it weren't for Han Zuo, the Sunken Land wouldn't be as peaceful as the cub described. In a way, she had to thank him.
From Wen Ze's words, they learned that Wan En, located in the Empire, was the employer of the space pirates. With a clear lead, Xiao Liang was confident that he could investigate to the end.
Wen Ai hugged Wen Ze tightly with heartache, "You mustn't take such risks again." Wen Ze nodded obediently and rubbed his head against the teacher. He could tell that everyone was very worried about him.
After wandering for so long, he's finally going home!
--
After so much time, Leng Jin has managed to keep these little brats in check, but she still can't handle the absent-minded Leng Fan.
"Xiao Fan, don't do this."
"Teacher Leng, I'm fine." Leng Fan was a little lost in thought. He looked out the window at the early spring. The sunlight looked very warm, but as soon as the wind blew, it still felt cold.
That's his current state.
Leng Jin really couldn't do anything with him, and sighed, "We have training this afternoon, go eat quickly."
"Okay, I'll look for a little longer." Although he said he was looking, his eyes had long since lost focus; he was just staring blankly at the entrance of the orphanage, seemingly looking at something.
Only when a small figure appeared in his line of sight did his golden eyes regain their liveliness.
He rubbed his eyes in disbelief, and after confirming it, he dashed out, startling Leng Jin.
She looked in the direction he was looking, smiled, and ran to the door.
"Xiao Ze!" Wen Ai was startled by Leng Fan's sudden appearance and quickly supported him. Leng Fan hugged Wen Ze tightly, and large tears streamed down his face.
"Xiao Fan, don't cry." Wen Ze hurriedly wiped his eyes, and seeing Xiao Fan cry made him want to cry too.
