[Private Chat] Chu Qianqian: Oh, then invite me when you have time.

[Private Chat] Kuang Gong: Okay, I didn't do any farming today. Wait a minute, I'll invite you to join me.

[Private Chat] Chu Qianqian: Okay.

Chu Yunyi replied with a somewhat disappointed "okay," even though she knew it was just a simple response, a feeling she couldn't quite describe welled up inside her.

In just one month, it seems that many things have quietly changed. People who were once familiar have become strangers, and those beautiful memories have gradually become blurred.

Perhaps this is the price of leaving?

The reason she hasn't logged into the game for the past month is mainly because too many things have happened in real life.

First, she lost her job; second, her mother kept urging her to go on blind dates; and finally, there was Kuang Gong's comment: "I don't want to meet him."

All of these things combined made her feel that life was very difficult and she was very sad. During that time, she even had nightmares every day, so she didn't want to play games for the time being.

But she didn't intend to quit forever; she just didn't expect that in just one month, everything seemed to have changed.

Yes, she was transported to this world of cultivation because of a nightmare.

This game was her only way to connect with that other world, so why did she feel so lost now?

Just as she was reminiscing about the past, a pop-up window appeared inviting her to enter a demonic realm. There were two large options below: "Enter" and "Decline".

She glanced at the name and realized it was the inner demon invitation sent by Kuang Gong.

She clicked to enter and successfully saw Kuang Gong's little apprentice, [Xu Mengyao]. However, when she saw that this little apprentice was using a female character, she felt upset.

Nevertheless, she still held a sliver of hope: perhaps this person was actually a male player? Maybe it was just the character he had chosen to portray.

However, when she witnessed the interaction between Kuang Gong and his young apprentice, she felt even more distressed.

In the inner demon scenario, they fight side by side against monsters. After the battle, the female character shares the joys and sorrows of the game with the player, as if they were an inseparable master and apprentice.

After defeating the monster, Chu Yunyi silently observed their interaction, her heart filled with disappointment.

She completed the inner demon challenge without saying a word.

Then, without hesitation, she clicked to exit the inner demon scene. She couldn't bear to watch them chatting amongst themselves any longer; she simply couldn't stand it.

Back in Yizhuang, Suzhou, Chu Yunyi felt somewhat lost. She remembered that she had been his sworn brother and disciple at the same time, so she quickly checked the master-disciple interface, but there was no trace of her master on it. In other words, he had forcibly terminated their master-disciple relationship.

Chu Yunyi bit her lip tightly, tears welling up in her eyes as if they were about to fall. She knew that perhaps from the moment she decided to leave, their fate had already come to an end.

However, the sadness and loss in her heart surged like a tidal wave, overwhelming her.

"Why am I so sad?" she asked herself softly, her voice trembling slightly.

She tried to convince herself that it was just a past relationship and not worth being so heartbroken. However, whenever she thought of the little things she had shared with Kuang Gong, those sweet memories pierced her heart like a knife.
