I long to return home!

Chapter 13 Sutra Pavilion

"Pheasant, I think you're just bored."

"Don't you have anything to do? Why are you following me so suspiciously?" Xue Wu said calmly as he continued searching for the Scripture Pavilion without stopping.

Xue Wu considered asking directly where the Golden Feather Phoenix Sect's Scripture Pavilion was, but his earlier meeting made him a little embarrassed, and he didn't know how to start the conversation. So the two of them remained silent, neither of them speaking first.

"What? This road isn't just for you, it's on my way... no way." Hearing Xue Wu speak first, Jin Yu Luan Feng was a little excited, but she still called out arrogantly out of pride.

"Alright, alright..." Xue Wu shook his head helplessly, took a deep breath, and finally asked, "Um... where is the Scripture Pavilion?"

The Luoyun Sect was enormous, roughly equivalent to several scenic areas combined in the original world. Xue Wu walked for half a day but still couldn't find it.

"Oh? The Scripture Pavilion, huh? I know about it, but... I can't quite remember."

"Why don't you beg me? Maybe then I'll remember where it is." Jin Yuluan was secretly overjoyed, but she still didn't want to tell him directly.

"Never mind, I won't ask you anymore."

Upon hearing Jin Yuluanfeng's words, Xue Wu's heart shattered. He wanted to slap himself a few times for his loose tongue and insisting on asking her. He then turned and stopped a passing Xiafeng disciple: "Hey buddy, where's the Scripture Pavilion?"

The Xiafeng disciple who was stopped was initially stunned, then bowed respectfully and said, "Senior brother, the Scripture Pavilion is at the fork in the road not far ahead. Turn left and you'll get there." He then pointed in a direction.

"Thanks, buddy." Xue Wu patted the Xiafeng disciple on the shoulder and walked in the direction he was pointing.

The Xiafeng disciple was stunned by Xue Wu's words: "Dude?" Suddenly, he turned his head and saw the Golden Feather Phoenix looking at him angrily, which frightened him so much that he took a few steps back.

"You talk too much, hmph!" Jin Yuluanfeng snorted a few times, then followed Xue Wu in the direction he was walking like a little shadow.

The disciples of Xiafeng looked at the departing golden-feathered phoenix with bewildered expressions and whispered, "What did I do? I just pointed out the way."

"Isn't that senior brother the elder's closed-door disciple? How come he doesn't even know about the Scripture Pavilion? That's strange."

Following the route, Xue Wu indeed came to a fork in the road. Looking to the left, he saw a huge house not far away. He took a deep breath to calm his restless heart, and then jogged towards the Sutra Repository.

Jin Yuluan followed behind, watching Xue Wu run away, and couldn't help but curse, "What's the rush for him? It's just a scripture pavilion." As she spoke, she chased after the scripture pavilion in the direction of the pavilion. Under the sunlight, her long and fair legs were as smooth and delicate as two jade pillars, making people's hearts flutter with joy.

She wore a pair of golden embroidered shoes, which accentuated her beautiful legs even more perfectly. Her feet touched the ground lightly, like a delicate flower in full bloom.

Xue Wu stood in front of the enormous house, where a stone tablet as tall as a person stood prominently at the entrance, with three characters clearly written on it: "Scripture Repository".

Unable to contain his excitement, he pushed open the door and went inside. As soon as he stepped across the threshold, a unique, pure fragrance that belonged only to the Library wafted towards him. He felt the familiar scent as if he had come from his original world.

"It's right."

As Xue Wu stepped into this vast and simple library, a solemn and dignified atmosphere enveloped him. It stood quietly, like an ancient temple of knowledge.

The library's architecture is simple yet dignified, blending seamlessly with its surroundings. The interior is spacious and bright, with rows of neat bookshelves filled with various scriptures. These scriptures, carefully preserved and weathered by time, are themselves a testament to history.

Here, time seems to stand still, with only the rustling of turning pages and the tranquil atmosphere. Sunlight streams through the windows, casting dappled shadows on the floor, creating a serene ambiance. Being here, one can almost feel the wisdom of a thousand years flowing through the air, inspiring awe and reverence.

He couldn't help but lower his head and sigh. He felt the vicissitudes of life. As he walked into the library filled with the fragrance of books, he suddenly felt like he was back in school.

In my past life, I was a poor student who would sit in the back row by the window and just get by day by day. I often dozed off in class and never listened attentively. When the school bell rang, I was always the first person in the class to grab my backpack and run out of the school gate.

Even after getting home, he'd toss his backpack aside, sit at his computer desk, and immerse himself in various demanding video games, doing the same things day after day. As for the library, he'd probably only been there three times, and even when he did go, he wouldn't actually read anything...

When Xue Wu arrived at the Scripture Pavilion in this world, his mood was as if shrouded in mystery. He looked around the first floor of the Scripture Pavilion. The disciples on this floor were as rare as priceless treasures, few and far between. Most of the disciples flew up the stairs to the second floor like birds. He also followed the stairs to the second floor.

When he saw the second floor of the Scripture Pavilion with his own eyes, he was struck dumb, as if by lightning. The second floor was a completely different world from the first floor. If the first floor was simple and classic, then the second floor was undoubtedly rich and extravagant. The architecture was as luxurious as an imperial palace. Every bookshelf was made of golden nanmu wood, and the whole building was constructed of expensive wood and jade. The entire second floor was divided into two parts. The lower part contained various cultivation techniques and mental cultivation methods of the Luoyun Sect, while the upper part was divided into five sections, which recorded the five exclusive cultivation methods of fire, water, wood, earth, and thunder.

In this vast second level, disciples from various peaks were as numerous as stars. In the center of the lower level of the second level, an old man with white hair and beard was resting on a chaise lounge, like a sleeping sage, or a librarian.

"So you were here all along! I've been looking for you everywhere." Jin Yuluanfeng rested her delicate hand on Xue Wu's shoulder and said breathlessly, her voice as melodious as a silver bell.

Xue Wu, who was engrossed in being watched from the second floor of the Scripture Pavilion, was suddenly struck by Jin Yu Luanfeng's delicate little hands. He was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat. He lost his balance and tumbled down the stairs with the panting Jin Yu Luanfeng. He instinctively hugged Jin Yu Luanfeng's petite body tightly. Jin Yu Luanfeng was taken aback when she noticed Xue Wu's outstretched hands. However, she did not resist. Instead, she had a different perspective on the man protecting her in this moment of crisis.

With a thud, Xue Wu fell to the ground. It felt as if a mountain had struck his back, causing him to scream in pain. The Golden Feather Phoenix, on the other hand, fell onto Xue Wu's chest without any serious injury. Moreover, as a spirit beast, her physical strength far surpassed that of ordinary people.

"Oh my god... Chicken, are you crazy? You scared me!"

"Ouch...it hurts so much!" Xue Wu cried out in pain, clutching his aching back.
