"Does Jiang Er have any ideas?"

Jiang Er, dressed in a white dress, floated in the air, closed her eyes to sense it, and then shook her head: "No, our equipment has no signal, so it really can't be used."

"Seven Nights, how about we try a radio?" Zhang Luochen pointed to an electronics store on the side of the street.

"Well, that's the only way." Lin Qiye led everyone to the electronics store: "Boss, do you have radios?"

The boss looked up, noticed their strange attire, his expression changed, and without showing any particular enthusiasm, simply said, "Yes."

"Then let's have five platforms."

"260 yuan per unit, give me the receipt."

"ticket?"

Hearing the crowd's reaction, the shopkeeper immediately waved his hand: "You don't even know what a ticket is? What are you trying to buy? Go away, don't disturb my business. People dressed in strange clothes, I don't know where they came from."

Zhang Luochen said in a low voice, "It seems that back then, you used coupons to buy things, and the currency in our time seems to be different from here."

Lin Qiye frowned. So many years have passed, and the currency has changed. Even if they had money, they couldn't use it now.

"What do we do now?" Baili Pangpang asked in a low voice.

Lin Qiye looked at the radios and took a deep breath: "Anyway, it's a virtual world. In order to prevent disasters from happening again, and to save the boss's life, let's each grab one."

Everyone nodded.

The next second, several figures flashed by, and before the shop owner could even react, his counter was completely empty.

……

Zhang Luochen and Lin Qiye hid in one of the alleys.

“This outfit doesn’t seem to allow for easy movement here; we need to change,” Lin Qiye said.

Zhang Luochen nodded slightly. After a transformation, he was wearing a retro striped shirt and jeans, carrying a briefcase, and wearing gold-rimmed glasses.

Meanwhile, Lin Qiye, standing to the side, appeared wearing a lake-blue work uniform after a dazzling magic circle.

"You...you're making it seem like I'm your employee. Why are you acting like a boss?" Lin Qiye complained, looking at Zhang Luochen's attire.

"After being a wage earner my whole life, it's rare for me to want to be a boss, even if it's just an act." Zhang Luochen looked at his outfit with great satisfaction.

Lin Qiye shook his head helplessly, seemingly agreeing with Zhang Luochen's point. After all, it was just an act; why couldn't he pretend to be a boss? However, given the current time constraints, he didn't dwell on it.

"That electronics store owner didn't chase after us, did he?" Lin Qiye looked around. They had just stolen the radio, and the electronics store owner had come running out cursing.

Then, the group split up and acted separately, but the boss specifically targeted Zhang Luochen and Lin Qiye, relentlessly pursuing them.

"They probably didn't catch up." Zhang Luochen didn't see the appliance store owner either.

The two arrived at a high-rise building. Lin Qiye's mental perception was unusable, while Zhang Luochen's eyes could see further from a high vantage point, making a high-rise building the most suitable place for them.

Zhang Luochen's eyes swept across the entire city. At that edge was the boundary of the [Virtual Reconstruction], below which flowed a constant stream of people and cars. It was rush hour, and the streets were filled with pedestrians who had just finished get off work or school.

Just then, a paper crane flew over from a distance. Zhang Luochen reached out, and the paper crane landed in his palm.

"How is it?" Lin Qiye asked.

“That’s right, it’s Bai Ze, it’s right here on the Huangpu River.” Zhang Luochen had barely finished speaking when he said this.

A loud, noisy sound came from the radios on their waists.

"Swish, swish, swish..."

Lin Qiye picked up the radio, extended the antenna, and seemed to be searching for a signal: "Jiang Er, Jiang Er, can you hear me?"

"It's me, can you hear me?"

"I can hear you."

“We found the 007 team’s base. Except for the captain who was on vacation, Qingyu has already taken them all down.”

"Knocked down? Why did you even resort to violence?"

"Well, it's a long story. They thought we were from the Church of the Ancient Gods, and we couldn't get anything out of them. Qingyu went to investigate the files herself. Luo Chen was right, there are indeed traces of the Church of the Ancient Gods' activities here."

Lin Qiye said, "Yes, that's right. Luo Chen has also discovered that it is indeed related to Bai Ze. Bai Ze is currently in the Huangpu River."

"Okay, I'll go tell him right away." Jiang Er's voice disappeared.

Lin Qiye turned to Zhang Luochen and said, "We've had quite a few dealings with the people of the Ancient God Church, but this was forty years ago. Even if we saw them, we probably wouldn't recognize them."

Just as Zhang Luochen was about to say something, another paper crane flew in front of them, and then, the corners of Zhang Luochen's mouth slightly turned up.

“No need, we’ve found someone we know.” Zhang Luochen revealed a charming smile.

The streets of Huaihai City forty years ago were very different from the Huaihai City they knew. Apart from the familiar Huangpu River, everything else had undergone tremendous changes.

Zhang Luochen and Lin Qiye could only rely on a paper crane to lead the way; otherwise, they would definitely get lost on this road.

"What? You found the 'dreaming'?" Lin Qiye asked in surprise.

Zhang Luochen nodded slightly: "I must say, the babbling of a young person is quite cute."

"Cute? Such an adjective can actually be used to describe him." Lin Qiye smiled faintly.

The two rode their "stolen" bicycles through the streets, eventually stopping in front of a small noodle shop.

As soon as they arrived at the noodle shop, the two noticed a young man in a suit with slicked-back hair sitting at a table inside, enjoying his noodles.

Seemingly noticing the two not-so-friendly gazes, before even finishing her noodles, she slightly raised her head, her eyes meeting theirs.

Zhang Luochen and Lin Qiye shifted their gazes away from Yiyu.

"Boss, two bowls of noodles," Lin Qiye called out.

The two sat down at the same time, and soon two steaming bowls of noodles were placed in front of them.

"I believe you now. The word 'cute' really does apply to Yiyu," Lin Qiye said softly.

"See, I told you so. You've never seen such young delirium before, have you?" Zhang Luochen slurped up a mouthful of noodles: "And I must say, the noodles from this era taste pretty good."

Lin Qiye also took a bite and drank some noodle soup: "I must say, it really tastes good."

“Now that we’ve found the babbling tale, things are much easier. Let’s just get information out of him,” Zhang Luochen said.

"That's what I meant too. This Yiyu is probably only in his twenties now, but the Yiyu we met was actually around sixty. I really didn't expect that." Lin Qiye recalled the Yiyu from his memory.

"There's nothing strange about this kind of old monster."

As the two were talking, Yiyu got up and placed a few coins on the table.

"Boss, no need to look anymore." Then, he walked away.

"He's gone," Lin Qiye said softly.

"Follow me." Zhang Luochen reached out and conjured several coins on their table.

Lin Qiye stared at the coin that had appeared out of thin air and fell into deep thought.

Seeing that Lin Qiye hadn't gotten up, Zhang Luochen urged, "Come on, why are you still sitting here?"

Lin Qiye frowned slightly: "I'm thinking, if you have this ability, why should we go and steal the radio?"

Zhang Luochen: ...
