Xingmei asked, "An alien water demon?"

Wen Mingde explained, "As you know, since the establishment of the 'Black Tower,' five departments have been set up around the containment of strange objects: Boundary Species, Law and Politics, Secret Scrolls, Geography, and Applied Objects."

Each department houses hundreds of artifacts. Due to the monster invasion, roughly half of them were scattered during the impact.

They come in all shapes and sizes, some large, some small; some harmless when still, while others inexplicably emit toxins. Not to mention, some of these are even biological specimens that can run and jump, making them truly perplexing...

There exists a strange creature called the "Alien Drill," which can freely transform into the appearance of other people, assuming various false identities to wreak havoc everywhere.

After listening to his words, Xingmei, acting as Mo Li's mouthpiece, began to speak again: "What is artifact containment?"

Wen Mingde said, "Yes, it's the artifact recontainment team that I formed. It's an emergency team that the space station temporarily took the lead in establishing based on the needs of post-disaster reconstruction."

As the name suggests, its main responsibility is to recover strange items whose containment has been compromised due to monster invasions.

The two quickly moved in the direction from which the sound came.

Upon entering an office, one finds an open partition door, and a phantom soldier wielding wall blades in both hands stands facing the corner.

The two exchanged a glance, nodded, and quietly crept up to it.

Abraham was even provoking the three identical pawns before him, saying, "Today, I, Abraham, will seek justice for Alfred!"

Upon hearing this, the three pawns thought, "You're so arrogant, kid. We'll see what you're capable of today."

A pawn raised its arm, its blade about to spring out, aimed straight for Abraham's head.

A sound, encompassing all, entered the office.

The illusory soldier's blade bounced off the jade shield with a clang.

Abraham closed his eyes and awaited death, but death seemed to linger for a long time.

Abraham opened his eyes, saw the shield around him, and looked past the illusory soldiers in front of him to see Mo Li at the door. He cried out, "Help, help me!"

Mo Li clicked his tongue lightly. This Abraham really didn't know how to handle things. He could have launched a sneak attack.

"Ready to fight."

The two of them took the initiative and entered the narrow passage of fate, so they will most likely be the ones to strike first.

Mo Li first applies a shield, then Xing Mei deals the rest. After a few rounds, these phantom soldiers can return to the Rift to rebuild.

Xingmei said with dissatisfaction, "You almost died!"

Abraham, however, said nonchalantly, "Everyone has to die... Besides, I'm still alive and well."

He wanted to say something more, but Mo Li couldn't hold back any longer. He silently pulled Xingmei to the back.

Xingmei had a premonition that something bad was going to happen, so she quickly moved far away from the area.

Then she saw Mo Li reach out, gather his strength, and then slap him!

Xingmei couldn't even imagine how hard that slap was.

All she saw was Abraham being slapped against the wall.

The entire wall was smashed, leaving a human-shaped mark.

Mo Li was furious and said, "Damn it, this slap was for Alfred."

Mo Li had already rehearsed this scenario countless times in her mind; it was impossible for anyone to die.

"If you hadn't hit us this time, do you know what the consequences would have been?"

The likely consequence is death.

If Alfred's spirit were watching you from heaven, seeing you do such a foolish thing, even dying because of him, how would he face you? And how would you face him?

"While this phantom soldier might very well be the one that killed Alfred, didn't you know that Rift creatures can turn into particles, return to the Rift, and then be resurrected? You bastard!"
