The Eldest Daughter Returns with Power

Chapter 92 Yun Ruo Enters the Palace

"Madam, may I borrow your room for a moment? I have something to discuss with my sister Yunruo." Crown Prince Si Yunchen bowed to Madam Yuluo, a mysterious glint in his star-like eyes and a faint smile playing on his lips. Madam Yuluo was momentarily taken aback, but quickly regained her composure. She glanced thoughtfully at her disciple Su Yunruo sitting beside her, then nodded to the Crown Prince and said, "Oh, sure. I'll have someone take Your Highness and Ruo'er to the side room over there." With that, she summoned a maid and instructed her to lead the Crown Prince and Su Yunruo to the side room.

Su Yunruo followed the Crown Prince to the side room, her mind filled with questions. She didn't know why the Crown Prince wanted to speak with her alone, nor did she understand what he wanted to say to her. She pondered these questions silently the entire way.

After entering the room, Crown Prince Si Yunchen gently closed the door, then turned around and looked at Su Yunruo with a smile. His eyes revealed an indescribable tenderness.

"Crown Prince, may I ask what brings you to see Yunruo?" Su Yunruo asked softly, her voice tinged with nervousness and unease.

Crown Prince Si Yunchen smiled slightly, his eyes filled with tenderness: "Sister Yunruo, do you still remember what you promised Grandmother and Mother a few days ago?"

Su Yunruo was slightly taken aback, a few images flashing through her mind, her face slightly embarrassed: "Your Highness, are you referring to the matter of going to the palace to accompany your aunt and maternal grandmother?" She remembered when she was recognized by her relatives in the palace, the Empress and the Empress Dowager had hoped that she could spend more time with them, so she had agreed to this. However, many things had happened since then, and she had never had the chance to fulfill this promise. Now that the Crown Prince had suddenly brought it up, she felt somewhat awkward.

Crown Prince Si Yunchen nodded slightly and said, "That's true. Tomorrow, the Empress Dowager will send someone to summon you to the palace. You need to think of a plan in advance, because the people from the General's Mansion will definitely ask you for details after you enter the palace."

Su Yunruo gently bit her lip, looking embarrassed, and said, "This is too sudden. Yunruo has not yet prepared gifts for her aunt, maternal grandmother, and uncle."

The prince gently patted her shoulder and comforted her, "Don't worry, they care about you as a person, not your gift."

Su Yunruo lowered her eyes and replied softly, "Then Yunruo will follow the Crown Prince's arrangements."

The Crown Prince gazed at her docile and obedient appearance, the corners of his mouth curving upwards even more clearly, and said softly, "Alright, Aunt Tangxin, who is by the Empress Dowager's side, will come to pick you up tomorrow."

"Yes, I understand. Is Crown Prince leaving now?" Su Yunruo asked.

The prince nodded and explained, "Yes, I must return. I came here under a pretext from a nearby restaurant and cannot stay away for too long."

“Then, Crown Prince, go and bid farewell to your master. I will see you off,” Su Yunruo suggested. So, the two left the room together and headed towards the room where they had just been talking.

"Master, the Crown Prince is leaving now," Su Yunruo said to her master.

"Yes, Lady Yu Luo, I have other matters to attend to, so I will take my leave now," the Crown Prince said with a smile, bowing to Lady Yu Luo.

"Well then, Your Highness, please go ahead with your business." Lady Yu Luo nodded and smiled. She was very satisfied with the Crown Prince's gentleness and politeness, and was secretly pleased.

"Master, I'm going to see the Crown Prince off." Su Yunruo winked at her master, then walked out of the room with the Crown Prince.

They walked all the way to the back gate. The Crown Prince stopped and looked at Su Yunruo tenderly. "Sister Yunruo, there's no need to see me off any further. I can walk by myself." After saying that, he gently patted Su Yunruo's head and then turned and left.

Su Yunruo stood there, watching the Crown Prince's departing figure, a happy smile on her face. Only after the Crown Prince was out of sight did she turn around and go back to her room.

"Master, my brother the Crown Prince said that my aunt, the Empress, wants me to go to the palace tomorrow. I want to ask you for something, is that alright?" Su Yunruo hugged Madam Yuluo's arm coquettishly, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"Tell me, how much blood will you make Master bleed this time?" Madam Yu Luo tapped Su Yunruo's forehead helplessly, but a doting smile played on her lips.

"Disciple would like to ask you for a bottle of the longevity pill you refined, as well as the beauty essence you refined." Su Yunruo chuckled, revealing two cute little tiger teeth.

"Hmm, thank goodness." Madam Yu Luo patted her chest dramatically, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Master, please grant your disciple's request." Su Yunru shook Madam Yulu's arm, her eyes full of coquettishness.

"Alright, as you wish." Madam Yu Luo agreed with a smile, her eyes full of affection.

Su Yunruo immediately beamed with joy: "Thank you, Master! You're the best!"

…………

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the window into the room as Aunt Tangxin arrived at the General's residence carrying the Empress's decree. Upon hearing the news, the General's wife rushed to the main hall to greet her. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Aunt Tangxin explained her purpose: to escort Su Yunruo to the palace. Although the General's wife harbored some doubts, she dared not ask rashly. She could only quickly give Su Yunruo a few instructions before watching her leave with Aunt Tangxin.

Su Yunruo and Aunt Tangxin boarded the carriage, and with the rumble of the wheels, they embarked on their journey to the palace. Along the way, Su Yunruo was filled with anxiety, fearing that her aunt, the Empress, her maternal grandmother, and her uncle, the Emperor, would be angry because she hadn't entered the palace for so long. Finally, the carriage arrived at the palace gates, and after passing through several gates, they arrived at the Empress's bedchamber.

"Your Majesty, Miss Su has arrived," Aunt Tangxin reported softly.

"Quickly let Yunruo in." The Empress's voice came from inside.

Su Yunruo took a deep breath, straightened her clothes, and entered the palace. She bowed and said, "Yunruo greets her maternal aunt, the Empress."

The Empress quickly rose and personally helped her up, saying, "Good child, come here quickly so your aunt can take a good look at you."

Su Yunruo walked to the Empress's side, and the Empress affectionately took her hand, carefully looking her up and down with loving eyes. The Empress asked with concern, "Yunruo, how have you been lately?"

Su Yunruo replied obediently, "Aunt, everything is fine with me lately. I haven't encountered any difficulties or anything that's bothering me."

The Empress smiled with satisfaction and nodded gently: "That's good, then I can rest assured. I specifically asked you to come here today because I wanted to chat with you, share our thoughts, and hopefully cheer myself up."

The Empress smiled at the young girl before her and said gently, "Rest here for a while. I will take you to pay your respects to the Empress Dowager later. Your maternal grandmother has been looking forward to seeing you for a long time." Su Yunruo nodded obediently, indicating that she understood. She walked obediently to a chair and sat down, waiting quietly.

After a while, the Empress gently stood up and gestured for Su Yunruo to follow. They walked out of the palace together and strolled slowly along the corridor. Sunlight streamed through the windows, casting patches of light on the floor.

They finally arrived at the Empress Dowager's palace, and a palace maid at the door announced their arrival. Then, the Empress and Su Yunruo entered the hall together. Su Yunruo immediately knelt and bowed, her voice clear and resonant: "Yunruo greets her maternal grandmother, wishing her good health and a long and happy life."

The Empress Dowager hurriedly helped her to her feet, pulling her close with eyes full of affection and joy. She gazed intently at Su Yunruo, tears welling in her eyes, and exclaimed, "My dear granddaughter, we've finally been waiting for you! Come, let your grandmother take a good look at you; you've become even more beautiful than before!"

Su Yunruo felt deeply moved by the Empress Dowager's care and affection. She nestled in the Empress Dowager's arms, enjoying this long-lost warmth. The three of them began to chat, their laughter occasionally drifting from the palace, filling the air with a happy and warm atmosphere.
