The Strongest Magician of Gods

Chapter 76: Luo Xiu's Letter

The black invitation card featured the logo of Austin Magic Academy: a giant willow tree with branches spreading out in all directions, and beneath its massive trunk stood portraits of all of Austin's magic instructors, including Mo Bei.

The large characters on it, in particular, explained the purpose of the letter—an invitation to enroll in the seventeenth year of the Magic Era.

"what does it mean!"

Mo Bei pondered for a while, but still couldn't understand how this recruitment invitation had ended up here.

"Are you kidding me? I'm a magic instructor, not an apprentice! Could this pigeon be mistaken for someone else?"

Mo Bei stared blankly at the invitation, which seemed nonsensical, and his eyes involuntarily lingered on the letter.

Dear Mentor Mo Bei:

Since our last parting, you have saved me from danger, for which I am deeply grateful. I know that Austin Magic Academy cannot accommodate your greatness, which caused you to abandon your responsibilities and disappear for five days.

You are a graduate of Austin School of Magic, which is the highest honor of the academy, but as a powerful figure in the magical world, you should not be so arrogant and unreasonable.

As an instructor and a symbol of Austin School of Magic, you and your associates have damaged the dignity of the magic academy for over a thousand years.

Therefore, in my capacity as the principal of Austin School of Magic, I hereby summon you for a meeting.

Austin School of Magic Office

Seventeenth year of the Magic Era

The lengthy text was mostly critical, and after reading it, Mo Bei knew that since arriving at the magic academy, he had been constantly disappearing without ever asking for leave. Whether it was to address his physical ailments or to fulfill his responsibilities in magical training, he had indeed failed to do so. As the academy, his actions naturally led to this situation and misunderstanding.

At this moment, Mo Bei's mind gradually recalled the warm memories of when this body first arrived at the magic academy. The two memories merged together, and Mo Bei's emotions were slowly affected.

"There is still a long way to go in magical training. The great tree of Austin Magic Academy cannot be overturned. Sigh! What a troublesome situation."

Mo Bei murmured, his expression showing a hint of melancholy and helplessness. Leaving the academy had almost cut off his source of funding, and with his current magical physique, he didn't know how long it would take to return to his peak magical state.

After some thought, he had already made up his mind.

"Pop"

He poured himself a glass of red wine and sipped it one by one. Around midnight, on the white paper laid out on the table, Mo Bei picked up a gleaming silver quill pen and began to write, unsure of how to begin.

On the pen holder, the white dove squinted and waited quietly, with a resolute tendency to not leave until you write something.

After thinking for a long time, Mo Bei still didn't put pen to paper. Some things are better said face to face, so let it go for now! With the magic sealed, going out this late, if he's unlucky, he'll be eaten alive.

After a long while, Mo Bei, holding the white dove, released it again.

The white doves circled for a while before flying into the darkness of the night.

Mo Bei remained dazed for a long time, fragments of memories flashing through his mind, before he sat back down in the tall chair.

"Take a nap! If another pigeon comes along, I'll stew it."

Mo Bei threatened fiercely, then his tired eyes slowly closed.

Slightly tipsy, Mo Bei slept soundly.

"Flap flap flap"

At that very moment, an even louder fanning sound came from outside the window.

The bird's wingspan was easily one or two meters, and its huge wings flapped against the windowpane, making a piercing clattering sound.

In the hazy northern sky, listening intently, one could tell that another pigeon had flown by.

"You're disturbing my rest. If I catch you, I'll stew you and eat you!"

Mo Bei got angry, jumped up from the back of the chair, and glared at him with fierce eyes.

Then, they froze, and saw an eagle perched on the window, its huge, thick legs gripping the glass firmly, and one bright, yellowish eye scrutinizing them, waving arrogantly.

"Damn it, I said I'd stew a pigeon if it came, but what the hell is this, releasing an eagle like that? Is it trying to challenge me? That's going too far!" Mo Bei cursed.

"Who could it be this time?!"

Mo Bei, his face dark, walked over to confront the eagle. It was enormous, with its strong physique and fierce eyes.

Mo Bei trembled as he reached for the eagle's massive, thick leg and shakily retrieved the letter.

Opening the mailbox, the letters on it looked as if they had been randomly torn from a sheet of paper overnight.

There was only one short sentence on it, but it made Mo Bei shudder.

I'm at a bar in Monaco!

Luo Xiu

The brief sentence, written in hasty handwriting, caused a stir in Mo Bei's eyes.

"Flap flap flap"

The enormous eagle darted out, spread its wings, and quickly flew through the window into the night.

Mo Bei was stunned. Just as he was thinking about how to refuse, he saw the eagle ignore him and fly away arrogantly.

"Hey, hey, I still have your mailbox!"

Mo Bei looked out the window at the sky with a tragic expression, let out a shout, and felt utterly hopeless.

The eagle flew away, and Mo Bei stood there motionless, holding the torn letter in his hand.

"I have such a miserable life."

Mo Bei shook his head, instantly feeling dejected.

I'm a shut-in. Do you even know what a shut-in is? It's a guy who stays home all day, does nothing, and spends most of his time fantasizing about games!

Hateful, Mo Bei walked back to the desk with a dark face, picked up a tall glass and drank the red wine in one gulp. Then he went back to the bedroom, took off his magic robe, changed into a clean tailcoat, tidied his hair a little, and his handsome face was reflected in the smooth mirror. He was dressed in a suit and tie, the tailcoat was very close-fitting, and he wore a shirt and tie underneath. He looked clean and capable.

"He looks quite good, except he has too much beard."

Mo Bei rubbed his chin with his hand. At the age of twenty, his beard was not yet stiff, and it was more like a downy fuzz.

He picked up the razor and trimmed his sparse beard. After a quick trim, his chin and lips were instantly much cleaner.

Mo Bei nodded in satisfaction, then put on brand-new leather shoes, walked out of the residence with a dashing gait.

"rumble"

The car started, and Mo Bei weighed the silver coins in his pocket; there were about twenty of them.

The car drove off smoothly, its headlights on, illuminating the road far ahead. On the messy branches of the trees on both sides, flocks of birds gathered, and after a commotion, a dense swarm of tiny figures fluttered to the top of another ancient tree, chirping away.

The Monaco bar is located deep in the dimly lit town, where all sorts of people mingle year-round.

No matter where you are, bar culture is undoubtedly the most individualistic and free-spirited form of expression.

This place is often filled with passionate lovers, unrestrained youths, glamorous dancers, dejected and disillusioned individuals, and of course, wealthy people who spend lavishly...

In short, bars are hidden beneath the hustle and bustle of big cities, concealing romance in dimly lit corners.
