The Strongest Magician of Gods
Chapter 71: Mo Bei in a fit of rage
Three days later, Mo Bei slowly woke up.
Where am I?
Mo Bei's throat was parched, his eyes were swollen, and his stomach was growling with hunger. He climbed up, feeling weak, and walked out of the bedroom.
"Grumpy"
After drinking several mouthfuls of cool water, he finally regained some energy.
Before me was a kitchen of moderate size, a messy and dirty place covered with a layer of dust.
Mo Bei had only been in the magical world for about ten days, yet he had already experienced so much. Now he was back in the house he lived in before his transmigration, as if everything had returned to its starting point.
The white paint on both sides of the walls was tattered, and the furniture was old and worn. Mo Bei walked from the dirty and messy kitchen all the way to the study.
Several dark magical beasts were carved on the tall wooden chair. The backrest was too high, so Mo Bei sat down lightly, resting his head on the lower back of the chair, looking extremely majestic.
Mo Bei was feeling melancholy at this moment, his mind was in a daze, and a delicious aroma wafted into his nostrils—the smell of food wafting in from outside the window.
"Cuckoo"
Feeling hungry, Mo Bei rubbed his stomach, his eyes gleaming with a desperate fire.
"Over the past ten days or so, I've managed to integrate into this world. My identity is now confirmed, and I have a basic understanding of the magical world. However, I can't use my magic for the time being, which is quite troublesome. If I encounter an enemy, even escaping will be a problem, damn it."
Mo Bei remained somber, subconsciously sensing a sense of crisis, which he suppressed.
"Clang clang"
He stood up from the chair, turned around, and knocked over several messy wine bottles under the table, which rolled quite a distance off the table.
I clearly remember that these bottles were always evidence of the previous owner's habit of getting drunk.
"Humph"
Mo Bei snorted coldly, disrupting the association in his mind. With a shake of his magic robe, he strode out of the study.
"The magical realm is currently sealed. Looking at this dilapidated house, I wonder how many gold coins are left. It's so poor that even a dog would despise it."
Mo Bei cursed and yelled. Over the past ten days, his personality had gradually become assimilated, and the two personalities had intertwined and become one.
He walked to the head of the bed in the bedroom. On one side of the head of the bed was a low cabinet table, on which sat a tattered wooden box.
"giggle"
The old wooden box emitted a harsh, creaking sound from years of neglect.
As soon as it was turned on, a silvery glow reflected on Mo Bei's face.
Mo Bei was surprised and reached out to grab it.
"crash"
Half a box of silver coins slipped through the gaps between my fingers, striking the coins inside the wooden box with a crisp clinking sound.
"This guy has some savings. I was worried for ages. Goodness, one silver coin in the magical world is equivalent to one hundred copper coins. His purchasing power is not bad."
Mo Bei estimated for a moment, then slowly sat up on the edge of the bed, put his hands over the wooden box, and counted the coins one by one like a little miser.
"Crunch crunch"
A series of crisp collision sounds rang in his ears, and Mo Bei became increasingly excited as he counted them.
"Three thousand one hundred and fifty-eight silver coins. One thousand silver coins is ten gold coins, so three thousand silver coins is thirty gold coins. It's neither too much nor too little. For a high-level mage, this amount of wealth is really too meager."
Mo Bei curled her lip, raised her middle finger at her former owner's wasteful behavior, and the image flashed through her mind.
"It's enough for daily life, but this house is also quite messy. Let's tidy it up, since I'll be living with it for a long time to come!"
Mo Bei looked at his messy home with a bitter expression. He wasn't exactly a hardworking person, but even someone like him had his limits, which showed how horribly dirty and messy the house was.
"Alright, I'll just have to work hard today."
Mo Bei looked at the dirty and messy bed sheets with a mournful face, and even he felt a chill.
"This guy, how did he sleep? The sheets are all yellowed, did you see that? My God, are you planning to let the sheets get moldy?! Are you crazy?!" Mo Bei cried out in pain, feeling a chill run down his spine.
"Luckily you met me. I'm so unlucky that I can't afford to offend you. I've been busy doing this and that for you ever since I arrived. Now I have to tidy up your house. It's really unbelievable how I ended up transmigrating into your body. I'm so unlucky."
Mo Bei looked around innocently, then pouted and started to cry.
With the strength of an ordinary person like him, it would take him at least a day to finish such a huge amount of work.
"Who am I? A high-level white-collar worker, you know? When have I ever done any work? With that time, I would have been bragging to others. You despicable guy."
Mo Bei chattered on, listing his former master's crimes one by one.
He pulled off the bed sheet and piled up all the broken items in the bedroom while covering his nose.
"I can't take it anymore! You're still gnawing on duck legs in the middle of the night, the bones are practically covered in mold! Are you waiting to dip them in some wine before you start eating them again?!" Mo Bei was miserable, his soul practically steaming with anger.
In no time, the bedroom was piled high with all sorts of items, from small clothes, shoes, and bedding to large shoe racks and cabinets. Anything that affected the overall appearance of the room was moved together by Mo Bei and awaited disposal.
"Cuckoo"
Mo Bei's stomach kept growling; she was so hungry she felt weak.
"Alright, let's leave it at that for now. We'll get properly sorted out after we finish eating."
Mo Bei looked at the messy room and her lips twitched.
A large hall, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a study—Mo Bei felt dizzy just thinking about it; it was over 180 square meters.
Mo Bei went to the kitchen, which was neither big nor small, and was covered with a thick layer of dust.
He picked up a dusty rag, rinsed it with cold water, and used it to wipe the table.
Then she washed the pots and pans and mopped the floor. She had originally come to the kitchen to cook, but after doing housework for an hour, Mo Bei was so hungry that her face turned green.
After finishing everything, Mo Bei sighed and walked to the corner of the wall, where there was still half a bag of rice. He then took out some dried fruit that looked like longan, red beans, and a little rock sugar from the cupboard drawer.
Boil water, add beans and rice, and cook until the sun is high in the sky. A bowl of eight-treasure porridge is ready.
He ate seven large bowls of rice—no, I mean porridge—until the pot was almost empty, and that was how he finished the meal.
For the entire day, Mo Bei cleaned up cobwebs and dust, moved away broken furniture, and mopped the floor.
As the sun set, Mo Bei was like a heartbroken person on the other side of the world.
"Comfortable"
Mo Bei lay down in the clean hall, the surroundings were brand new. After finishing his work, he was bored. He couldn't cultivate and had no entertainment.
"I wish I had a car."
In his spare time, Mo Bei pondered that, given his current situation, owning a car would be a good option.
"what!"
Mo Bei rummaged through the memories in his mind, and suddenly a familiar scene struck him, giving him a jolt.
"I seem to vaguely remember that the previous owner had a car. It must have been during his apprenticeship years! Apprentices above the third year were able to earn money to buy a magic broom, so this car was probably left unused!"
Mo Bei was pleasantly surprised; he had saved money on buying a car.
