The Strongest Magician of Gods

As the figure stepped in, Mo Bei finally confirmed his identity.

Ronan

Mo Bei was startled and looked out the window. It was already late at night, and the moonlight reflected down from the sky, creating an atmosphere of frost.

"Ronan sneaked into the library like a shadowy figure, as if he wanted everyone to know he harbored some unspeakable secret."

Mo Bei's eyes flickered, and he immediately understood that Ronan's late-night visit must have ulterior motives.

The library of Austin Magic Academy is open to all academy magicians, but Ronan was acting suspiciously, looking around nervously. Even if Mo Bei didn't suspect him, he couldn't help but be surprised.

"Heh, I was overthinking it. Nobody really wants to glance at the Austin School of Magic's library, yet I was being so cautious."

Ronan shook his head inwardly, a hint of unspoken joy in his hoarse voice.

"Ta-ta"

He moved his feet along his hunched back, passing several bookshelves, and stopped in front of a huge bookshelf at the very back of the library.

"What is he doing? This library is only so big, it can't possibly turn into flowers."

Mo Bei huddled in a corner, avoiding Ronan's gaze. At this moment, he was particularly curious about what this man was up to, acting so startled, especially in the library.

But the next moment, Ronan's actions truly surprised Mo Bei.

"boom"

Ronan looked around; it was unusually quiet. A disdainful smile played on his lips. Then, he stomped his foot and began to channel his magic.

"Boom"

The library shook violently, and a seven-star magic rune burst forth from Ronan's feet, then spread out in a circle from the soles of his feet.

Upon closer inspection, the ground was shimmering with light, and a mysterious magic array gate flickered from the foundation.

"Magic Circle"

Mo Bei was astonished. Recalling his memories, he realized that he had never known that such a profound magic array was hidden in the library. Moreover, a magic array was not something that a mere high-level mage could set up. Yet, the one that Ronan was currently operating was a powerful magic array.

"It's troublesome."

Mo Bei suddenly realized something as soon as he saw the magic circle.

"I finally know how the principal disappeared. It was so strange, and he disappeared so peacefully. Even the magic instructors at Austin Magic Academy aren't sure if the principal is really missing. Could this guy have imprisoned him here?"

The inspiration that flashed through Mo Bei's mind in an instant sent chills down his spine as he pondered it.

If we follow Ronan, we'll know whether the principal is missing or not.

"Swish"

The magic circle emitted a blinding light and shook violently from the foundation. Several beams of light instantly connected with the star trails, revealing a star trail pattern.

"Humph"

Ronan snorted coldly, raising his magic wand as if a black curtain had been drawn, tightly blocking the pillar of light from the magic circle, causing its light to be contained within and not spread out.

"This guy's magical skill is beyond the reach of ordinary mages; he's been hiding his true strength."

Mo Bei was increasingly alarmed. Ronan was hiding such magical power and had grand ambitions. Perhaps he, like Mo Bei, was a pawn of a dark force.

"The situation is not good. Should we call Professor Eiffel?"

Mo Bei hesitated. The best solution at the moment was naturally to team up and fight monsters, but looking at Ronan's magic, which was much stronger than that of an average high-level mage, he hesitated for a moment.

"Boom"

The magic circle emitted boundless light, the foundation trembled, and the star trail pattern above gradually disappeared.

Suddenly, a ray of light flashed on the library wall, and with a loud rumble, the wall split open from east to west, revealing a dark portal. A series of tall staircases extended from the entrance into the ground, where a huge hole appeared.

Ronan spoke with a murderous aura, a hint of anger emanating from him.

"I'm so lucky. I was cultivating here a few days ago. If he had seen me, I wouldn't have lived long."

Mo Bei was shocked. If he had known earlier that such a big secret was hidden here, he would not have dared to stay here and risk his life even if he had been given the courage.

However, now that Mo Bei has reached a certain level of cultivation, he is not too afraid.

As Ronan stepped into the huge cave entrance, Mo Bei quickly followed, using invisibility to stay close behind. However, he didn't dare to get too close, but simply observed from behind.

The dark cave entrance was unusually damp, with drops of water dripping from the lava, chilling to the bone.

The cave entrance was sealed so well, and the underground area was a cold place, so Mo Bei felt a chill as soon as he entered.

Ronan walked to the corner of a dark cave entrance, then turned and disappeared, leaving Mo Bei hanging behind him.

Behind them, the library walls came together again, and the opening that had previously provided a sliver of light became even darker.

Mo Bei glanced back, realizing it was too late to call for help. He looked ahead and started walking, groping his way forward in the dark.

Cold water droplets kept falling from the lava above. Mo Bei tiptoed to the corner of the cave entrance, and the scene before him surprised him greatly.

He bent over, his eyes filled with amazement. A dilapidated palace appeared before him, many buildings collapsed, but from some glowing, crystalline stones, one could still see the former grandeur and prosperity of this place.

"Ancient ruins? Where exactly is this place? I'm getting more and more confused."

Mo Bei looked at him with surprise. Fortunately, he was currently invisible, so as long as he was careful, he was not afraid of being seen. Therefore, he became bolder.

"Crunch crunch"

He tiptoed on the foundation, making occasional harsh noises that sounded like the crumbs of solid material.

Mo Bei then looked at the ground beneath his feet.

"That's..." Mo Bei was startled. He reached out and picked up a piece of debris. Judging from the luster on it, he could still tell that it was a substance from some kind of weapon.

The ground was covered with such debris, and some broken swords and knives were already rotten and lying across the foundation.

"A great battle once took place here. I wonder what kind of magic could break so many weapons. Perhaps it was because of the passage of time that the weapons decayed and scattered on the ground as fragments."

Mo Bei muttered to himself, only now feeling a sense of lingering fear. The magicians who guarded this palace were all dead, but strangely, he didn't see a single scattered skeleton.

"Ta-ta"

Mo Bei took a few steps forward and rushed towards the dilapidated palace. Huge stone lions straddled the front gate, and various powerful mythical beasts were carved on the broken palace pillars.

From the outside, the palace once covered a vast area, but now only this dilapidated corner remains.

"That guy must have gone inside!"

Mo Bei whispered, pondered for a moment, and then tentatively took a few steps forward, glancing around at the ruins, fearing that he might be ambushed here.

As he walked around and there was no movement, he felt relieved. He then darted into the palace, leaving a blur in his wake.
