Adorable Kids in Space: Lucky Wife is So Carefree

They moved a pile of writing brushes, ink, paper, and inkstones into the study. Grandpa's family and Aunt Hua had given them quite a few. The children were all overjoyed, even more so than when they received toys. Just a few months ago, they were still writing on the sand table in the cold wind.

The three elementary school students' favorite item was still the small fan with the calligraphy written by their grandfather. The inscription on all of them was the same: "Of all things, only studying is noble." It was a bit old-fashioned, but it was a distinct feature of the times.

They didn't even have their own father's calligraphy yet. Feeling the love of their elders and knowing that it was their grandfather's expectation for them, Le Ge and Ping Zi proudly patted their little chests and said they would study hard and live up to their grandfather's expectations. Xi Ge, on the other hand, was secretly holding his breath.

Gifts for the children for the Lantern Festival are a must. Gao and Wei bought them a lot of lanterns and stickers, which are displayed all over the streets of Taocheng these days, but they are a rare sight in Qinghe Town.

“I want to give one to Yan Song, and Yan Qian needs one too.” Ru Xiu was completely bewildered, and it took her a while to remember that they were Yan Niangzi’s two sons.

"Yanqian is in Class B (1), but I don't know if we can be assigned to the same class. I heard that he is in the top three in his class, and I must catch up with him."

Brother Le is full of confidence; having a goal gives you motivation.

"Aunt Xiu, Aunt Xiu, Yan Song also said he wants to join us, that he wants to surpass me, and that he wants to skip a grade and come to Class C next term." Pingzi was also very excited, finally having made another friend.

Ru Xiu and her second aunt arrived before Cai Feng and her husband left, even though Ge'er and Taozi had urged them many times.

When they arrived at the stage, it was already crowded and bustling. Auntie Er liked to listen to opera and had even brought her own stool, but Ruxiu told her to go to the front and listen to the opera in peace.

The shows in Qinghe Town are far fewer than those in Taocheng. Aside from watching plays, there are only a few food stalls, and the variety shows are just a few small stalls, all packed with people. Caifeng and her husband, carrying peaches on their heads, also squeezed into the crowd.

Seeing so many people, Ru Xiu lost interest and just wanted to wander around with Ge'er and Zi Yi.

People tend to crowd around the stage, but the closer you get, the less you can see. There aren't many people on the outer perimeter, so you can see the performance from a distance, but you can't see the faces clearly and the sound isn't loud; all you can hear is the clanging of drums and other instruments.

After getting a string of candied hawthorns, Ge'er stopped bothering Ruxiu and squatted under a big tree, using the chewed-up candied hawthorns to lure ants.

Zi Yi still has a childlike heart. Although she is about the same age as Shi Jie, she looks more childish. While eating candied hawthorns, she uses a twig to help Ge'er remove mud, basically in a state of self-forgetfulness.

There were two or three boys playing there, all around the same age as Ge'er. They were accompanied by adults, as they didn't want to be squeezed out of the way.

Shaking his head somewhat helplessly, he looked back and saw that Fifteen had been following along without any problems, so he told him not to follow and to go play too. Fifteen remembered that he needed to keep watch over the things the general had entrusted to him before he left, so he left.

Anyway, the two kids don't run around, and Ziyi is quite good at taking care of Ge'er.

Ru Xiu borrowed a small stool from a nearby stall and sat under the tree watching them play.
