Chapter 46 Long Yuanxiang's Challenge

With the girls' competition concluded, the boys' competition followed immediately. The boys from all six groups leaped into the water to begin their competition. Each group's match was filled with passion and speed, and soon the winners from the six groups—Kanzaki, Itōsawa, Shibata, Sumida, Watanabe, and Yonezu—engaged in the final.

The six boys stood at the starting line of the pool, their eyes gleaming with competition. At the sound of Mr. Yasuda's whistle, they shot into the water like arrows, beginning their fierce competition.

Kanzaki's performance in the water was particularly outstanding; his body traced perfect trajectories, and every stroke and kick was so precise and powerful. His speed and skill gave him an advantage in this competition.

Ito Sawa was not to be outdone. His mental abilities allowed him to quickly analyze the water flow and his own movements. Although his physical condition was not as good as the other contestants, his wisdom and strategy kept him at the top.

Shibata is also very fast in the water. His physical special ability gives him tremendous propulsion in the water. He is giving it his all and hopes to win the game.

Sumida, Watanabe, and Yonezu also fought hard in the water, fully demonstrating their speed and endurance.

In the end, Kanzaki crossed the finish line by a narrow margin, winning the race. Shibata followed closely behind, but his face betrayed his surprise; he clearly couldn't accept the fact that he couldn't outswim Kanzaki.

"How is this possible? I actually lost to you!" Shibata's voice was tinged with resentment as he looked at Kanzaki, his eyes gleaming with a competitive light.

Kanzaki, on the other hand, appeared more composed. He knew his victory was hard-won. He turned to Shibata, smiled, and said, "You've done a great job, Shibata. The gap between us isn't that big. Let's compete again next time."

Ito Sawa and several other players also congratulated Kanzaki, knowing that Kanzaki's victory was a testament to his strength and skill.

Mr. Yasuda expressed his satisfaction with the result: "Very good, Kanzaki, your victory is well-deserved. The other students also performed very well; you all demonstrated your abilities."

As the swimming lesson drew to a close, the students dried themselves off and discussed the next lesson on supernatural abilities.

The students in Class B began discussing the next lesson on supernatural abilities, filled with anticipation and curiosity about what Professor Hoshinomiya would be discussing.

"Do you all remember the cases of supernatural abilities that Ms. Hoshinomiya talked about last class? They were so interesting! I wonder what she'll talk about next class." Watanabe's words were filled with anticipation and curiosity about the upcoming lesson.

"Yes, I wonder what new knowledge she will bring us this time," Wang Cang chimed in, her voice tinged with anticipation.

Meanwhile, Shibata was teased by his classmates about how he had been coaxed to stand up by Hoshinomiya-sensei in the previous class.

A hint of embarrassment flashed across Shibata's face as he tried to retort, "Don't laugh at me. If you're so capable, let Hoshinomiya-sensei try it out and see if you can withstand it."

None of the students fell for it; instead, they all burst into laughter, filling the swimming pool with a joyful atmosphere.

"Alright, alright, stop teasing Shibata. Let's think about what we'll learn in the next class." Ito Sawa interrupted their banter, his voice serious as he tried to steer the conversation back to the lesson content.

“Yes, Hoshinomiya-sensei always surprises us. I’m really looking forward to it.” Ichinose joined the discussion, her eyes sparkling with a thirst for knowledge.

The students nodded and suppressed their smiles, filled with respect and anticipation for Professor Hoshinomiya's course.

Just then, a commotion arose at the entrance of the swimming pool, attracting everyone's attention.

Ryuen Sho, Ishizaki, Komiya, and Kondo swaggered in, and Shiina followed them helplessly, this time without a book in her hand.

As soon as Long Yuanxiang entered the room, he shouted to Teacher Yasuda as if no one else was there, "Teacher Yasuda, I know you went easy on us yesterday, so I had the other thirty-five people practice again. You shouldn't mind, teacher."

Mr. Yasuda was somewhat surprised; he hadn't expected Ryuen Sho to do this, but he had no objections and simply nodded in agreement.

Ryuen Sho didn't seem to care about Yasuda-sensei's reaction. He turned and walked towards Ito Sawa.

Seeing the energy stone in Kanzaki's hand and looking at how wet they were, Ryuen Sho knew that Kanzaki must be the winner of their swimming competition.

He immediately strode forward arrogantly and challenged Kanzaki: "Kanzaki, do you dare to make a bet with me, with a thousand energy stones as the wager? If I win, you give me the thousand energy stones; if I lose, I'll give you the thousand energy stones."

Kanzaki remained indifferent, showing no intention of acknowledging him. His eyes were completely unwavering, as if Ryuen Sho's provocation was utterly insignificant to him.

Ito Sawa noticed this, a thoughtful glint in his eyes. He knew that Ryūen Sho's provocation might be a tactic, or perhaps a test of Kanzaki's reaction. Ito Sawa decided to remain vigilant and observe how things unfolded.

The surrounding students began to whisper among themselves, curious about Ryuen Sho's provocation and Kanzaki's calm response. Some expressed disapproval of Ryuen Sho's arrogant behavior, while others admired Kanzaki's composure and confidence.

When Ryuen Sho saw that Kanzaki didn't react, a hint of displeasure flashed across his face, but he quickly regained his arrogant smile: "What, Kanzaki, are you scared?"

Kanzaki finally spoke, his voice calm yet firm: "Ryuen Sho, I have no interest in betting with you. If you want the energy stone, earn it through your own strength."

Long Yuanxiang's smile froze on his face, a flash of anger crossed his eyes, but he quickly suppressed it.

He snorted coldly, stopped arguing, turned and left the pool area, his three henchmen following closely behind. Shiina nodded politely to them, then stepped inside.

The students in Class B left the swimming pool one after another, but their discussion was not over.

Ryuen Sho's provocation and Kanzaki's calm response became the focus of their discussion. Some people began to speculate whether Ryuen Sho would give up, while others expressed their admiration for Kanzaki's strength and composure.
