"Here it is." After getting out of the car, Yao Ruofu stood in front of a detached courtyard and gestured to Zhou Liwan with her chin.

Zhou Liwan stopped and looked at the detached villa in front of her.

A small wooden plaque hangs on the pale yellow wall at the entrance. The shop name is written in small seal script, which looks particularly unique.

Roses climbed all over the walls of the courtyard, and the evening breeze carried their fragrance.

"It's quite nice here, with a great atmosphere." Zhou Liwan walked in first, her black skirt swaying on the green grass and cobblestone path.

The two walked to the inner courtyard gate and knocked on the door, but a furious roar suddenly came from inside: "If you don't give me an answer today, I'll have someone smash up this dilapidated courtyard!"

Zhou Liwan and Yao Ruofu exchanged a glance and immediately felt that they had arrived at the worst possible time.

People came to cause trouble.

"How about we head over first?" Yao Ruofu scratched her head and asked tentatively.

Zhou Liwan thought that her safety lock was still inside, and if things really got out of hand, it might "harm innocent people".

"Let's go in and take a look." Before Yao Ruofu could stop her, she had already pushed the door open and entered.

The interior is decorated in a fresh and elegant style. On the right side of the house is a large sliding door that leads directly to the courtyard. On the left wall, various tools for restoring cultural relics, antiques, gold and silver jewelry are hung. In front of the wall is a large workbench.

A young woman with delicate and beautiful features, wearing a dark green protective apron, was panting heavily and glaring at the boy sitting opposite her.

"Why are you so young and so desperate to bother me? Do you even know how old I am? Please stop bothering me, okay?"

The boy opposite her had bright red hair, one leg casually propped up on the armrest of the chair, looking nonchalant: "What do you mean by 'entanglement'? I'm sincere, Auntie, can't you see that?"

Song Chang'an was on the verge of a breakdown. This was the fifth time this brat had come to cause trouble this week: "What do you want from me?! You want me to tell your dad about this?!"

The red-haired boy shrugged indifferently, curled his lip, and revealed a hint of disdain.

He didn't care about the woman's threats at all.

Yao Ruofu quietly tugged at Zhou Liwan's arm: "Wanwan, I remember this man. He's a notorious troublemaker in the industry, the only son of the Xu family, Xu Zimu."

Seeing Zhou Liwan's somewhat bewildered expression, Yao Ruofu continued to explain: "He's a domineering and unreasonable person. He's always either messing with people or on his way to mess with people. Once he sets his sights on you, it's not that he'll do anything drastic, but it's really frustrating. You'll be so angry that you'll have nowhere to complain."

Zhou Liwan was surprised.

I had met the Xu family a few times in my previous life; the couple were both highly cultured and refined individuals.

How did I raise such a spoiled brat?

While other young men are out flirting with young girls, this guy is harassing a sentimental young woman!

Zhou Liwan blinked in disbelief: "What should we do? My things are still on the table."

The woman must have been repairing her safety lock before the boy arrived. Now that the trouble has started, if a dispute arises, her lock may very well be lost.

Zhou Liwan frowned deeply.

"Hey! I'm telling you, those two idiots at the door who've been babbling away for ages, do you really think I can't hear you?" Xu Zimu said with a sly smirk.

Yao Ruofu felt a chill run down her spine under his gaze and dared not meet his eyes. She could only stare at Zhou Liwan's gold lock and said in a forced, obsequious voice, "Look at what this brother is saying. We're just here to pick up something. You go about your business and just let us go like a fart."

Xu Zimu casually tossed his hair, a wicked and malicious smile playing on his lips: "I can't let you two shut up like that. What bad things were you saying about me just now?"

Yao Ruofu chuckled awkwardly, "That's not true at all—look at what you're saying."

Xu Zimu walked up to Yao Ruofu and grinned maliciously: "I've seen you before. You're the Yao family's daughter with terrible taste in men. Your name is... Yao Ruofu, right?"

"You!" Yao Ruofu glared at Xu Zimu, took a deep breath to suppress the urge to curse, and turned to Zhou Liwan, saying, "Go and get the safety lock back. We'll leave after you get it."

Xu Ziming completely ignored the other party's obvious displeasure, and even grinned, revealing two rows of gleaming white teeth. "Where are you going?"

Zhou Liwan felt uncomfortable under his aggressive gaze and frowned, about to speak.

"Please stop now!" Song Chang'an stepped forward righteously, blocking Zhou Liwan and Yao Ruofu's path. "Didn't you say you really liked me and wanted to be with me? Fine, I agree!"

Zhou Liwan and Yao Ruofu stared wide-eyed in disbelief, while Song Chang'an continued, "Now you've got what you wanted, can you leave now?"

If Xiao Chengcheng knew that his precious daughter was being mistreated by him, then there would be absolutely no hope of getting back together with him in this lifetime.

Xu Zimu looked at Song Chang'an, seemingly a little disheartened. He slowly walked to the table, picked up his motorcycle gloves, and smiled half-jokingly at the young woman he had been harassing at the door: "Girlfriend, I'll come find you after she leaves."

After saying that, he pushed past them and disappeared into the night without looking back.

Damn, this is so boring!

What kind of fun should we have next...?

Zhou Liwan turned around and quietly looked at that unruly figure.

"Aunt Song, that brat isn't really going to come looking for you tonight, is he?" Yao Ruofu asked hurriedly.

Sitting on the motorcycle, Xu Zimu angrily yelled into the room, "You damn bastard, I'm still at the door! I can hear you!"

Startled, Yao Ruofu quickly covered her mouth and dared not speak again.

"Don't worry, he won't come again." Zhou Liwan quietly walked to the table and calmly picked up where Song Chang'an left off.

Yao Ruofu caught up with him: "How did you know?"

Zhou Liwan picked up the peace lock and examined it from all sides. Sure enough, Song Chang'an's craftsmanship was superb; the repaired areas were almost undetectable as to where the damage had occurred.

Song Chang'an smiled slightly and walked over: "How is it? Are you satisfied?"

Zhou Liwan put the things back in their original places, her eyes softening, and a clean, warm smile involuntarily appeared on her lips.

Song Chang'an couldn't help but glance at that smile a few more times: "The things will probably take another week. You can come and pick them up then."

“That will be troublesome.” Zhou Liwan nodded politely, then pulled Yao Ruofu, who was about to jump up and down, and said as they walked, “That Xu Zimu, he does this just for fun. He enjoys the process of teasing people. The more anxious and impatient the other person gets, the happier he is. But once the other person sees through his little tricks, he will instantly feel bored and start looking for the next fun.”

"This is outrageous! He's just asking for trouble!" Yao Ruofu complained with disgust.

Zhou Liwan shook her head: "In this life, not everyone can clearly know what their life goal is. Before finding their goal, many people aimlessly seek pleasure to make their lives less boring."

Yao Ruofu asked curiously, "Then, Wanwan, what are your life goals?"

"Mine?" Zhou Liwan suddenly stopped under the roses, her mind a jumble of thoughts, but apart from revenge, there was nothing else in her mind. She didn't know what motivation she had left in life.
