Yalta was born into royalty and had witnessed the ugliness between men and women since childhood. He knew all too well those dark things.

Male insects are mostly heartless and ungrateful; female insects that have no use to them will be abandoned without mercy.

Ironically, such inferior creatures were favored by the Insect God, granted magical powers, and became the only beings capable of maintaining balance.

In such an environment, society has no choice but to grant them the absolute right to legally and legitimately have multiple partners and be fickle.

Even though Yalta desperately didn't want to admit the insignificance of his power, he had to accept reality; he had no way to change the current state of the Zerg.

But it's not necessarily true that Yan Kai will be able to enjoy this privilege.

He was never one to follow the rules, much less have such a magnanimous heart.

He can't control what happens to the other female insects, but he can control what happens to his male insects.

She initially accepted Alya and Tokar's advice to restrain her temper and try to appear obedient and docile in front of the male insect, all in order to possess him.

Yalta isn't stupid; of course she knows what kind of posture will win the favor of the male insects.

He was willing to soften his past stubbornness and cater to Yan Kai at times, but that was all.

My inherent assertiveness is something I can't change, and I have no intention of changing it.

This is his male insect; no female insect can touch it.

As for Yan Kai...

A cruel glint appeared on Yalta's face.

In this contest, the main characters can only ever be him and him; there can be no third party interfering.

Having spent so much time with the female insect, Yan Kai naturally knew very well what she was like when she was angry.

I just can't figure out what nerve I stepped on this time to upset him.

He frowned in confusion: "I really don't understand."

Or what exactly is he angry about?

Yalta sometimes truly hated the male insect's 'naive' face, and gritted her teeth to ask, "What is he?"

His words were full of displeasure.

Yan Kai didn't react for a moment: "Who?"

"That female insect."

Yan Kai guessed and asked, "Wen Erde?"

Yalta scoffed and corrected him, enunciating each word clearly: "That, only, female, insect."

Yan Kai pursed his lips, finding it both funny and infuriating.

Too lazy to argue: "Fine, fine, it's this bug anyway."

"you like him?"

Yan Kai recalled Wendell's face: handsome, gentle-spoken, efficient, and helpful—truly a good person.

So he nodded affirmatively: "It's alright, what's wrong?"

Upon hearing this, Yalta's expression turned cold, and he stared intently at the male insect, wishing he had ice daggers in his eyes to pierce the male insect into a sieve!

He scoffed, "Not bad?"

Completely unaware of the danger, Yan Kai boldly hummed in agreement.

Yalta suddenly laughed again, strode around the kitchen counter, went straight inside, grabbed the male insect by the collar, and pulled him in front of her.

Yan Kai was pulled and stumbled, crashing straight into the female insect. He carelessly swept everything around him away, making a loud clattering sound.

Their breaths mingled for a moment; if it weren't for the female insect blocking them, they would have definitely fallen flat on their faces.

Yan Kai had no idea what was going to happen again. He gripped the female insect's wrist tightly, his eyes cooling slightly: "Can't we talk things out? Why do you have to resort to violence?"

Sometimes I really don't understand how this temper can flare up so suddenly.

Yalta forced a smile, clinging tightly to the male insect's collar, his eyes filled with undisguised anger.

He repeated, "You like him?"

Yan Kai was speechless for a moment when he saw the man's murderous look.

Yalta, however, took it as the default behavior of the male insect.

Gritting his teeth, he clenched his fingers, and his collar caught the male insect's throat perfectly.

"I don't allow it."

Her delicate face turned deathly pale for some unknown reason, yet she stubbornly held her chin high, refusing to yield an inch.

Yan Kai stretched his neck, not flinching, but his tone became more forceful: "Try talking to me in a different way."

Yalta was not listening to anything now, his face contorted with rage: "Too bad, I'm not that female insect, I can't do gentle things, but you can forget about it too, I'm telling you, don't even think about it."

Yan Kai looked at him, puzzled: "What's wrong with you? If you have any complaints, just say so. Stop being so sarcastic."

"Don't agree to that damned promise!"

"why?"

Yalta narrowed his eyes: "Wasn't I clear enough?"

Yan Kai chuckled: "Yalta, this is an invitation I extended myself. Do you think I don't need to be there?"

"What if I don't let you?"

Why won't you let me?

"That's what I should be asking you. Is that female insect so appealing to you?"

“Wende…” Yan Kai was about to explain, but before he could finish, Yalta rudely interrupted him: “That female insect!”

Yan Kai didn't want to argue today, so he nodded in agreement and spoke again: "That female insect has helped me a lot these days, so it's not too much to just treat her to a meal, is it?"

Yalta bluntly uttered two words: "Excessive."

Yan Kai was speechless: "Then tell me what I should do?"

"That's what female insects should do; there's nothing to thank me for."

Yan Kai sighed, feeling that he and Yan Kai were on completely different wavelengths.

“Yalta, there’s no such thing as anyone having to do anything for anyone else. I just consider him a friend I can make, nothing more.”

"No."

"what?"

"Male insects and female insects can never be friends."

They act solely on instinct, following their nature. Everything they do is a disguise for reproduction, waiting for the right moment to lure and capture their prey.

Yan Kai disagreed. Earthlings can be ordinary friends, so why are you Zerg so special?

"I'm not some hot commodity that insects adore."

Yalta gritted his teeth in anger; this male insect truly had no sense of self-awareness whatsoever.

S-class male insects are rare species across the entire insectoid continent, so how could they not be loved by insects?

"Yan Kai..."

Yalta's breathing suddenly became heavy, his face grew paler and paler, and his tightly clenched hands gradually lost their strength. The insect went limp and crashed into the male insect.

Seeing this, Yan Kai quickly hugged him around the waist, her voice urgent: "Why do you look so pale? Are you feeling unwell?"

Yalta shook his head, trying to clear his blurry vision, but only made his head feel even more foggy.

With one hand pressed tightly against her abdomen and the other clutching the male insect's sleeve, she weakly groaned, "It hurts..."

This was the first time in her life that she had uttered this word, and the female insect's constantly trembling eyelashes were moistened.

Before receiving a response, his consciousness gradually became hazy, and all that remained in his ears was a roaring sound.

Yan Kai's mind went blank as he watched helplessly as bright red blood dripped from the female insect's legs onto the ground, and he instantly lost all his strength.
