As night fell, Tukari Palace was illuminated as if it were daytime. The surrounding shrubs had been trimmed, the endless white stone slabs had been removed and replaced with shimmering meteorites, and rare frost-gun roses had been planted on both sides. Their deep red and purple bases were tinged with a faint golden fluorescence, and the technologically advanced central fountain had been transformed overnight into an artificial mountain of insects. The sound of flowing water and the shimmering waves brought the once stark and pale palace to life.

Yalta casually plucked a flower, and the petals, deprived of the nourishment of the root, bloomed fully in an instant. A layer of soft light spread out along the golden wavy edge, as if covered by a thin veil, making it incomparably enchanting.

The female insect sneered, tightened her grip, thick juice dripping through her fingers, and said in a cold voice, "What a grand gesture."

The Zerg have countless towering trees, but flowers are not common due to the climate. This is a unique species in the south, and it is extremely rare to find even one. However, here they are planted all over the place as if they were free, as if they are afraid that other Zerg will not know about their shady dealings.

Although I knew Knox wasn't as indifferent to the world as he seemed, I still underestimated his methods. The male insect must have reached some kind of consensus with the south a long time ago, otherwise how could he have eliminated dissidents and firmly secured his position in such a short time?

Yan Kai couldn't appreciate these delicate things. Seeing the female insect's behavior, he frowned, took out a white handkerchief from his pocket, and carefully wiped the stains off his wrist: "The sap of the Frost Spear is poisonous."

Yalta, with his robust physique, didn't take the little flower seriously: "It's just temporary paralysis, it won't do me any good."

Yan Kai disagreed: "It's not worth it."

This female insect's biggest problem is that she doesn't know how to take care of herself. She's perfectly fine if you don't touch her, but she's always so eager to get her hands on her. Sometimes she looks particularly shameless...

Yalta took the initiative and grabbed Yan Kai's wrist. He liked Yan Kai's concern and smiled broadly: "Then you'll just have to put in more effort and keep an eye on me."

Yan Kai took his hand and continued walking inside, saying, "If I interfere too much, you'll find me annoying again."

"If it were you, I would never find it annoying."

I'm overjoyed.

Yan Kai glanced at him, smiled but said nothing.

The banquet was held in the back garden of Tukari Palace. When Yan Kai and Yalta arrived, there were already quite a few people gathered there.

Because it was a formal occasion, most people were dressed in military uniforms, gathered in small groups to talk quietly, and behaved with restraint. The atmosphere was solemn and oppressive.

Yan Kai and Yalta were considered prominent figures in Morbis. As soon as they arrived, they attracted the attention of many insects. Some of the bolder female insects couldn't contain their excitement and came up to greet them directly.

"My God, it really is Lord Yan Kai!"

"I am Garp, the chief worm of the Saenros family. It is a great honor to meet you."

"Your Excellency Yan Kai, I am Liya..."

"Your Excellency Yan Kai, my name is Sal..."

Yan Kai was surrounded by a group of female insects and didn't even have a chance to speak.

Yalta's face darkened instantly, his fists clenched tightly at his sides, ready to explode at any moment.

Yan Kai didn't like getting too close to strangers, so he carefully avoided them. He quickly grabbed Yalta and refused with a smile, saying, "Everyone, I already have a beloved insect. Thank you for your kind offer." After saying that, he pulled Yalta away.

The female insects around them looked at each other, their faces filled with shock.

In the Zerg race, male Zerglings have many ways to introduce their mates, but they will never say something like "my beloved Zergling".

Because male insects are rare and precious while female insects are too numerous, the amount of love that can be shared is even smaller, and most of the time they are together is driven by self-interest.

They watched the two insects leave hand in hand and couldn't help but feel envious.

Yalta stood ramrod straight, his heart filled with pride.

It truly lives up to its reputation as the male insect he chose; it's truly exceptional.

Suppressing the smirk that was rising in her eyes, she deliberately asked Yan Kai, "With so many excellent female insects, isn't there one you like?"

Yan Kai spread his fingers, hooked them around the female insect's hand, and held it firmly: "I don't like it."

Because no insect can be as stubborn as him.

Does this count as going public?

Yan Kai suddenly stopped and reached out to tidy up the female insect's long hair that was hanging down her chest: "I am very serious about being with you."

Yalta stared intently at the male insect for a few seconds in silence, then gripped his hand tightly: "Me too."

They didn't even leave themselves any way out.

If Yan Kai betrays him, then death is the only outcome between them.

Knox had already received the news, but he didn't want to approach the two insects when they were surrounded. After the swarm dispersed, he went up to greet them: "Yan Kai, Yalta, thank you very much for attending this banquet!"

Yan Kai looked in the direction of the sound and sighed, thinking that status really can completely change a person's temperament.

Knox was already in his prime, and his pure white custom-made military uniform accentuated his strong physique, making him even more upright. Previously, the male insect was dignified and noble, and although he wasn't very sincere, he was still quite approachable. Now, on top of that, he had gained an added air of majesty and coldness, making him difficult to approach.

Yan Kai withdrew his scrutinizing gaze: "Thank you for your invitation."

After all, it was their territory, and he couldn't afford to embarrass them too much, so he simply gave a polite bow.

Yalta tilted his chin up and looked at the insect with his nostrils flared. Raising his hand and tapping his shoulder was the greatest courtesy he could offer.

Knox didn't care at all; he was already frantic with worry because of Alya: "Could we talk in private for a moment?"

Yalta lowered his eyelids, his expression unreadable, but his tone was anything but pleasant: "Is there anything we can't say here?"

Knox was anxious and didn't care about anything else. He raised his hand and gestured to the servants behind him. The insects understood and took a few steps back, watching their surroundings warily.

Knox walked up to Yan Kai, suddenly slumped his shoulders, and said very solemnly, "I'm very sorry, Yan Kai." His voice was not loud, just enough for the two insects to hear.

This was probably the only time in Knox's life that he bowed his head.
