The leader of the cultivation alliance has a crush on me.

Chapter 63 He was just trying to kill himself.

He answered the phone, and Song Ke clearly heard Chu Tiancheng's voice coming from the other end.

"He Yunming, you're pretty fast."

He Yunming said, "You've been searching quite quickly, but there's something I need to remind you of. You don't have much time left. If I don't see the results I want by the deadline, you know I mean what I say."

Chu Tiancheng was silent for a few seconds on the phone, his voice filled with suppressed emotion: "Where is Song Ke?"

He Yunming laughed wildly: "She's right here with me, President Chu. Why don't you try to persuade her? She's not exactly well-behaved; she even tried to kill herself just now."

"He Yunming!" Chu Tiancheng roared through gritted teeth.

"Don't touch her," Chu Tiancheng threatened, his voice laced with pleading.

He Yunming chuckled lightly, his laughter tinged with sarcasm: "President Chu, why are you so agitated?"

"I told you, I'm not Zhou Chu, and Song Ke will be fine. Also, you'd better not do anything else, or I might really hide Song Ke away if I get upset."

Chu Tiancheng took a deep breath, suppressing his anger and frustration: "Fine, you better make sure she's alright, otherwise no matter how much the Chu family has wronged you, I won't let you off the hook."

He Yunming glanced at Song Ke, who was glaring at him, and sneered, deliberately saying, "So President Chu also knows that the Chu family has wronged me."

"That's really rare."

"However, some things cannot be settled with a simple debt of apology; blood debts must be repaid in blood."

Hearing He Yunming's words filled with hatred, Song Ke couldn't help but shudder.

She saw He Yunming was about to hang up the phone, and hurriedly rushed over, wanting to say something into the phone, but He Yunming hung up very quickly, and she only had time to make two "whoosh" sounds.

Song Ke felt that He Yunming would definitely not let this go easily; the hatred in his heart would not dissipate so easily.

He Yunming looked at Song Ke's anxious yet disappointed eyes, which showed that she hadn't been able to say a word to Chu Tiancheng. He felt a pang of sadness in his heart. Song Ke really liked Chu Tiancheng.

Actually, the first time he met Song Ke wasn't at school or on the film set, but when he was very young.

That time, he and his mother went to find Zhou Daqiang, but Zhou Daqiang kicked them out. In the scuffle, Zhou Daqiang pushed him so hard that he hit his head against the wall, broke his head, and was covered in dust, looking utterly disheveled.

For the first time, his mother confronted Zhou Daqiang with a strong voice, saying, "Zhou Daqiang, are you even human? A-Ming is so young, he's your own son, how could you do this to him? You have no conscience."

"What nonsense are you spouting? Who knows where you beggars came from? I have a wife and son. Don't try to ruin my reputation."

"Get out of the way, don't let this person get in your way, he's really bad luck."

He Yunming saw his mother being pushed by Zhou Daqiang and about to fall to the ground when a figure caught her.

Then he saw a little girl pointing at Zhou Daqiang and scolding him, but Zhou Daqiang was too humble to say anything and even had a fawning smile on his face.

"You're such a bad person. I'm going to tell Chu Tiancheng and have him teach you a lesson."

"Honestly, what kind of man bullies women and children?" Xiao Songke snorted, her face full of disgust.

Su Qiong looked helpless from behind: "Keke, don't be rude, call him uncle."

Song Ke pouted: "I won't call him. He's just as annoying as Zhou Chu, and he even hits people. He's obviously not a good person."

Su Qiong sighed, but didn't scold her too much. She said politely, "I'm sorry, children often speak without thinking. Please don't take it to heart."

Zhou Daqiang didn't dare to argue with Su Qiong, and just smiled and said, "It's nothing, it's nothing."

Xiao Song Ke walked up to He Yunming. He Yunming, who had been secretly glancing at Song Ke, now looked embarrassed and turned his head away, as if he dared not look at her any longer.

Song Ke smiled sweetly, revealing two dimples. Her long hair, braided with a headband, hung down in front of her, making her look incredibly cute.

She looked down and asked with a kind expression, "How are you? You're bleeding."

"Did that person just hit you?"

"Don't worry, if you're willing to be a witness, I'll help you call the police and have him arrested."

"Why are not you talking?"

Song Ke tried to pull away his hand that was covering his face, but he dodged it, looking like he didn't want to have any more contact with her.

"Are you okay?"

Song Ke was puzzled by He Yunming's strange gaze, and then became wary, subconsciously backing away to create distance.

Looking at Song Ke's actions, He Yunming chuckled self-deprecatingly: "What are you afraid of?"

"Forget it, whatever I say now, you'll just think I have ulterior motives. But I didn't expect Chu Tiancheng to act so quickly. Do you think he'll still be able to find us?"

Song Ke blinked, looked at He Yunming and chuckled, then sat up and drove off again.

She watched as the city receded further and further out the window, and she had no idea where He Yunming was going.

When she woke up again, it was already dark outside, and the car had stopped. Song Ke looked up, but the moonlight was dim and there were no lights, so she couldn't even see the scene inside the car clearly.

But she knew there was no one in the front seat of the car. Song Ke stood quietly like a wooden statue for a few minutes, listening carefully to the sounds, and faintly heard He Yunming making a phone call outside.

She glanced around the car, and when she looked over, her eyes lit up when she saw the car keys still in the car. She was overjoyed.

She moved her body awkwardly, remembering the lighter He Yunming used to smoke in the car. Looking at the distant sounds outside, she groped her way around, turning her back to the front, her hand fumbling in the box. Before she could even feel happy when she found the lighter, she heard footsteps getting closer and closer. Startled, Song Ke quickly grabbed the lighter and stuffed it into her sleeve. Luckily, it was autumn, and she was wearing a coat, which kept her arms bound, allowing her to tuck in her cuffs so they wouldn't fall out.

She had just settled back into the back seat when she heard the car door open. Her heart skipped a beat, and then she heard He Yunming's very soft voice.

"Song Ke, wake up and get up to eat something."

After he called out, Song Ke waited two seconds before slowly moving, opening her eyes with a blank expression, and asking, "Where am I?"

He Yunming chuckled softly and said, "You've been sleeping for a long time. Get up and eat something. We'll rest here tonight."

Song Ke stood up, still warily eyeing He Yunming. She glanced around at the desolate wilderness and deliberately asked, "Why did you bring me here? You're not planning to traffic people, are you?"

"Let me tell you, if you really want to sell me to those ugly idiots as their wives, then I might as well just kill myself right here."

He Yunming sighed speechlessly: "No, what are you thinking? I'm not so poor that I have to sell you."

"There's not much good food here, but at least there's meat, so make do with this."

Song Ke looked at him and asked, "Which mountain do you intend to hide me in?"

"Or are you planning to lock me up for the rest of my life?"

"It's only been a few days, I don't know what you're up to."

He Yunming chuckled: "Why do you think I'm doing this? If you hadn't been so restless, and Chu Tiancheng hadn't been so relentless, I wouldn't have wanted to go through all this trouble."

"Eat quickly, and then sleep in the car. I borrowed a blanket for you."

Song Ke raised his bound hands and feet: "What, are you afraid someone will see me beating you like this?"
