The leader of the cultivation alliance has a crush on me.

Chapter 18 Don't act on your own next time

Song Keke calmed down nervously after hearing Chu Tiancheng's words. When the car stopped, Song Keke looked out the window and saw a private restaurant she frequented.

Her older brother, Song Yan, is a VIP here. Every time he comes here for business dinners, he always packs some snacks for her to take home.

After getting out of the car, Song Keke left the flowers inside. She glanced at Chu Tiancheng and asked, "Do you often eat here?"

Chu Tiancheng glanced at her and said indifferently, "Not often."

After saying that, Chu Tiancheng went straight inside. Song Ke looked at his tall back and chuckled, "What kind of attitude is that? Is this how you treat me when you invite me to dinner? Who are you trying to impress?"

After muttering to herself, Song Ke looked at the streetlights that were gradually turning on outside and the increasingly bustling crowds coming and going, and followed them in at a leisurely pace.

Chu Tiancheng reserved a window seat on the second floor, with a view of the Ferris wheel spinning in the distance.

Song Ke listened to Chu Tiancheng's deep voice as he ordered the dishes, and the names of the dishes sounded very familiar; they were her favorites.

Song Ke was puzzled. When did Chu Tiancheng remember what she liked to eat?

I made a list of dishes that Gu Qing liked to eat, which were completely different from what I liked. I like spicy food, but Gu Qing prefers milder flavors.

"Another soup, please, pork rib and lotus seed soup, less salt, please."

"Also, don't put chicken essence or MSG in any of the dishes."

The waiter agreed and walked away before Song Ke looked at Chu Tiancheng with a scrutinizing expression.

"Chu Tiancheng, I'm a little scared by your sudden change of attitude."

Chu Tiancheng saw Song Ke smiling and asked, then poured her a cup of honey lotus seed tea: "Try this tea, it's quite good, it's made with the new lotus seeds this year."

Song Ke knew the tea here was good. She took a sip; it was warm and not too bitter, with a sweet aftertaste that wasn't cloying. The water used to brew the tea had been rinsed with fresh mint.

Song Ke was terrified during the meal, mainly because Chu Tiancheng was too frightening. His usual coldness and aloofness were gone, replaced by a much more considerate and attentive demeanor.

Fortunately, after paying the bill, Chu Tiancheng suddenly said something, which put Song Ke's mind at ease.

"Consider this meal a thank you for going to so much trouble to come up with ideas for me. You really put your heart into it."

Although Chu Tiancheng's words were sarcastic, Song Ke found them strangely agreeable.

What's wrong with me?

Self-harm mentality?

It shouldn't be.

"I don't understand what you're saying?" Song Ke remained defiant.

Chu Tiancheng led Song Ke into the elevator. There was still some time before the movie started, so Chu Tiancheng wandered around aimlessly.

"Still not admitting it."

After saying that, he said with a knowing look, "You really think I wouldn't know it's you just because you're using a fake account?"

"Speaking of which, I remember when you were in elementary school, you used this alternate account to insult me, right?"

Upon hearing him mention this, Song Ke immediately denied it guiltily: "...No...no, you must be mistaken, I'm so..."

"If you like me so much, why would you scold me? Do you even have a single word of truth in your mouth?" Chu Tiancheng interrupted Song Ke directly, and continued her sentence with a hint of helpless tolerance in his tone.

Song Ke looked at him with sincere eyes: "When have I ever lied?"

"Besides, I created an opportunity for you, and you don't even know how to be grateful. Gu Qing is single now and works at your company. You should seize the opportunity and pursue her properly. You will definitely be able to win her over."

Song Ke was so focused on matchmaking that she completely forgot about her own persona until she saw Chu Tiancheng's probing gaze on the ground. Only then did she realize what was happening and quickly shut her mouth.

"Go on, or do you really think that following the plan you secretly sent me will be enough to win her over?"

Chu Tiancheng suddenly looked at Song Ke seriously and said, "Song Keke."

Song Ke was startled by his sudden serious expression and asked somewhat timidly, "...What?"

"Don't act on your own next time."

Song Ke glanced at him but didn't say anything.

Chu Tiancheng, however, changed his expression quickly. He smiled faintly and pointed to the automatic claw machines in front of him. The row of pink machines attracted many young couples and girls to stop there.

"in or out?"

Song Ke, who had little romantic sense, said with a lack of interest, "That's all a lie; very few people can actually pick them up."

Song Ke thought of her past life, when she went out with her best friend and tried to win a single item from a coin-operated game with hundreds of dollars in hand. It was infuriating.

Besides, Chu Tiancheng is a big CEO who talks about projects in the office every day. He probably has never played with this before, so it's no wonder he could pull it out.

It wasn't that she didn't trust Chu Tiancheng, but rather that she felt Chu Tiancheng probably hadn't played this game before and wouldn't know it had hidden pitfalls.

"Really? How would you know if you haven't tried?"

"Besides, it probably depends on the person. Anyway, the movie starts a while ago, so let's give it a try."

Song Ke reluctantly followed him, sighing inwardly.

He's a big boss, after all, and he was trending on social media yesterday. Isn't he afraid of being photographed and having his image leaked online, which would be embarrassing?

Sure enough, Song Ke was right; they were indeed filmed again. Several beautiful women nearby filmed the scene and cheered, muttering things like, "So sweet!", "Oh my god, it's confirmed!", and "Chu Tiancheng is so sweet, even playing couple games with his fiancée!"

Song Ke, holding several dolls, rolled her eyes inwardly. It wasn't that he was playing with her; it was clearly the CEO who wanted to play by himself.

Seeing that Chu Tiancheng was about to continue grabbing, Song Ke walked beside him and subtly kicked his heel.

"What's wrong?" Chu Tiancheng turned his head and looked at her with eager eyes.

Song Ke was taken aback by his sudden gaze. It has to be said that Chu Tiancheng's appearance was impeccable, especially the way his Adam's apple was exposed, which looked particularly sexy, as he was wearing a blue shirt with the buttons undone like in the office.

Under his intense gaze, Song Ke momentarily forgot to speak.

If the blind dates my mom had arranged before were of this caliber, she thinks she would definitely be single by now.

They wouldn't be fooled by Song Chen into reading novels and inexplicably end up transmigrating into the storyline.

But no matter how beautiful she is, she's the female lead.

Song Ke sighed softly as she thought of this.

"Let's go, or we'll be stared at like monkeys."

Chu Tiancheng looked around and, sure enough, several people were taking pictures of him with their phones. He released the controller he was holding, turned around, and glanced at the people around him. Then, to Song Ke's surprise, he smiled and greeted everyone.

"Please make sure the photos look good."

Everyone was taken aback, not expecting the usually serious CEO to be so approachable. They immediately smiled and said the photos would definitely turn out well.

Song Ke realized what was happening and quickly pulled the person out of the circle, tossed the doll in her hand into Chu Tiancheng's arms, and headed straight for the elevator.

Chu Tiancheng followed and asked with a smile, "Are you angry?"

Song Ke stared at the numbers dropping in the elevator, saying one thing but meaning another: "No."

After saying that, she stared at Chu Tiancheng with a strange look on her face, and said with some difficulty, "What's wrong with you? You're not usually like this. In public, don't you feel... embarrassed?"

Chu Tiancheng looked completely innocent: "We didn't kiss, what's there to be embarrassed about?"

Upon hearing this, Song Ke stared at him wide-eyed, seemingly bewildered. Was Chu Tiancheng schizophrenic? Such words didn't seem like something he should be saying.
