Everyone has been very busy lately, and I've been especially overwhelmed, so when Hermione told me with red eyes that they had lost 150 points, I was genuinely surprised.

It wasn't because of the 150 points, but because the plot continued to proceed in the original direction even after so many reminders.

This plot point that was penalized exists in both the original work and fan fiction. I thought I could change it, but I failed. According to Hermione, they were accidentally captured by Filch when they left the tower, along with Draco.

I:?

No, why?

Why is Draco there again? What does Harry's invisibility cloak look like now? Has Norbert's secret been exposed?

There were so many questions that I didn't have time to think about them deeply. I almost forgot the original plot. All my attention was focused on Hermione in front of me.

“Claire…” Hermione was clearly trying hard to control herself; her eyes were red and swollen, suggesting she had been crying. She was desperately trying to maintain her dignity, unwilling to show those embarrassing expressions. “We…we ran into Malfoy when we were going down the tower. He was arguing with Ron and Harry. We didn’t expect Filch to be there…and Neville, Neville came looking for us…”

This development...

My mind raced. The three Harry Potter kids also lost points in the fanfiction, but it was only mentioned in a single sentence. After all, the focus of the fanfiction would definitely be Willotte investigating Quirrell, and the original main characters' story didn't seem that important. My reminder didn't bring about any change.

"Hermione." All thoughts remained hidden deep within; Hermione was the most important person right now. I sat silently beside her, gently holding her hand, trying to comfort her with my actions.

Hermione gripped my hand tightly. She remained silent, occasionally choking back tears. I gently pressed her against my shoulder, hoping it would make her feel better.

“Hermione, I’m here.” I called her name. Hermione trembled on my shoulder and hugged me tightly. She had never made such a mistake in her life, nor had she ever been punished so severely.

“I’m fine, it’s my fault.” Hermione said, tears streaming down her face, but she forced a sob to keep her voice down. “If I had been more careful, no, I shouldn’t have gotten involved, I…”

She burst into tears.

Hermione has always been a very strong child. Being sorted into Gryffindor shows that she is not a person who is afraid of trouble. But the current situation is completely different. The comfort from her friends and so on is too superficial. Words of comfort are also powerless. By the time I heard the news, which was two houses away, it was already too late.

I thought about what happened next, the isolation that followed—these were mentioned so little in the story, it felt like it all just passed by in an instant, as if no one was hurt here. The Gryffindors woke up to find all their efforts had been in vain, and their anger felt all the more real.

My brows were furrowed.

The entire Gryffindor school was shocked after 150 points were deducted, and the pent-up anger inevitably affected everyone's opinion of Harry, Hermione, and Neville.

It was obvious that their time in Gryffindor had suddenly become much more difficult.

Later, I pieced together the sequence of events. It turned out that Harry and his friends went to transport Norbert while wearing invisibility cloaks. Draco accidentally learned the exact time of their operation and was still unwilling to watch such a dragon be sent away, especially since it was sent to Charlie Weasley. He really disliked the Weasley family. To be wary of Draco, Harry and his friends did not reveal their plans.

In short, Draco secretly followed them to see what Harry and the others were up to, perhaps hoping to uncover some secrets, but he ended up getting himself into trouble, with all five of them being wiped out.

I sighed.

The story's understated plot always leaves one feeling disoriented. Harry and his friends were almost isolated for half a semester because of this. No matter how brave and strong they are in the book, the legendary saviors are still just 12-year-old children.

This situation will be lifted at the end of the semester, and they will earn everyone's respect and the points lost by Gryffindor because of their courage and wisdom.

But I can't imagine how sad they must have been during that time.

Hermione finally composed herself and whispered her thanks to me.

"Claire, thank goodness you're here." Hermione's voice was muffled, but she had regained her composure. She knew what she might face next and felt genuinely apologetic, willing to accept the punishment she deserved.

After Hermione left, I pressed my head, feeling a strange headache.

I've been really busy lately. I've always been indifferent to the plot. I stood by and watched the dragon egg incident from the sidelines. I did my best to warn Hermione, but it still happened, dragging Draco and Neville down with it.

My thoughts shifted in another direction.

...Willow is investigating Quirrell; I wonder how far she's going.

But she should already know what happened... I can't recall what she did in the fanfiction. We can't rely entirely on Willotte; we have to do something ourselves.

The bad thing has already happened, let's think of ways to fix it.

Another person who felt ashamed in this matter was Hagrid. He knew in his heart that Harry and the others were arrested because of him, but Norbert's existence could not be discovered, and he was the one who harmed Harry and the others.

After the greenhouse incident came to an end, I went to see Hagrid. He looked gloomy, and despite his large size, he looked rather pitiful huddled on the sofa. He was frustrated by his own powerlessness.

None of this had anything to do with me, yet I saw it all.

Sigh, I hope Willotte can take care of Voldemort soon, so everyone can have an easier time.
