Being a passerby in HP female protagonist fanfiction
Chapter 16 The Party, the Kitchen, and the Booklet
As expected, Hufflepuff defeated Ravenclaw in the Quidditch match and finished third in the standings.
The little badgers were very content, and they held a small party in the lounge to celebrate the hard work of the Hufflepuff team members. The warm lounge was filled with joy.
Ernie McMillan used his useless chatter to go around chatting with people, bothering everyone. Hannah listened shyly to Susan sharing interesting gossip, and soon a circle of curious little badgers surrounded them. Justin Finley chatted with his friends, shaking his head. Cedric, however, didn't join in but gently looked after everyone. The team members and older students sat together, and it was clear that they were having a good time chatting.
As I listened to Susan's vivid gossip, with the audience occasionally letting out quiet "wow"s, I couldn't help but smile.
As Susan spoke, she kept looking in my direction, and her face, which was flushed from the party, suddenly turned even redder.
“Claire.” Hannah tugged at my sleeve, and I naturally hugged her, letting her lean on my shoulder.
Such intimate behavior is normal among girls in China. Before I transmigrated, I liked to stick close to each other, and I felt it was normal to hold hands or hug each other. After transmigrating, I felt even less distant from a group of children. As long as the other person is willing, I generally don't mind sticking close to them, but only to girls.
Susan squeezed in and, along with Hannah, surrounded me on either side. I naturally hugged both of them, embracing them from both sides.
“Claire is always like this,” Susan whispered in my ear, but she didn’t resist; instead, she pressed even closer to me.
How am I?
I don't quite understand, and seeing Susan's sly smile makes it even more incomprehensible.
(⊙o⊙)?
Everything is wonderful, and I am very satisfied with my life now.
For a long time after the Quidditch match, nothing much happened, and I, who was used to life at Hogwarts, began to feel right at home.
"Kara." I nimbly entered the Hogwarts kitchen, my eyes shining as I called for the little elf I knew best.
I remember the first time I came to the kitchen, I was surrounded by the little elves. They were surprised by my unfamiliar face and asked me with some trepidation if there was something I was not satisfied with. I quickly explained that I just missed the food from my hometown and wanted to see if I could cook for myself in the kitchen.
After asking the little elf to find me an iron pot and some seasonings, I started cooking.
It has been proven that international students have enormous potential.
Before I transmigrated, I would at most cook noodles at home. Now, living abroad and almost starving three meals a day, I suddenly awakened my hidden Chinese bloodline. I recalled the dishes I used to eat and cooked a meal, which actually turned out quite well.
When I took that bite of rice mixed with chili sauce, it was so delicious that I almost cried.
I was filled with awe. Is this the taste etched into our DNA?
Kara appeared in front of me quickly. She greeted me warmly and asked if I needed anything.
I told her what ingredients I wanted and gave her some Galon. As expected, the little elf panicked and kept refusing.
I told them this was money I asked the fairy to use to buy ingredients, hoping the fairy could help me choose some good ingredients.
"If you don't mind, you can consider it a small fee for the extra meal I secretly prepared." I winked at the elves and breathed a sigh of relief when I saw them calm down.
Wow, I can have extra meals every day! I can't imagine how happy I would be!
I cheered inwardly, but maintained a normal expression on my face.
I tried to teach the little elf how to cook Chinese food, but fell silent when I saw the little elf cut open an egg tart and stir-fry it.
"How can you stir-fry egg tarts?"
"This sugar content is lethal, please use it sparingly."
"Rice is a staple food and cannot be used to mix with pasta!"
"Hmm, maybe I should look for a recipe."
I overestimated myself. Cooking and teaching others to cook are two completely different things. The little elves learned very quickly and well, but the problem is that they also tried to innovate.
I'm not afraid of maintaining the status quo, but I'm afraid of a sudden inspiration.
My observations on this: subway, elderly people, looking at mobile phones.
After being able to have extra meals, my mental state improved a lot. I even had more energy to study, and the courses gradually became easier.
However, there is one exception: Potions class is really not good.
Snape was renowned among the badger cubs; just as Voldemort stopped children from crying at night, Snape was known to frighten up badger cubs and eagles.
In his class, everyone was on high alert, extremely vigilant, fearing that something might go wrong and cause Snape to spray venom.
Hannah was under so much pressure that her eyes would turn red every time Snape scolded her.
To help the little badgers, I disregarded my own safety and, after discussing it with a Ravenclaw student, published "One Hundred Things to Pay Attention to in Potions Class," which the little badgers and hawks read carefully to avoid making mistakes.
This has allowed Snape to finally be a little more peaceful in class recently, and the frequency of his swearing has decreased significantly, since he mainly targets Gryffindor.
The books "One Hundred Things to Pay Attention to in Potions Class" and "How to Argue Elegantly Like a Slytherin" circulated widely among students. Everyone admired their reputation, read them carefully, and memorized them.
However, some genius changed its name during the circulation of this booklet.
Change it to "How to Become the Potions Professor's Beloved".
Me: I was utterly shocked and amazed, and dared not utter a sound.
Oh well, thank goodness, all the authors are anonymous.
One day in the future, Snape finally discovered the renamed booklet. According to a snake who was at the scene, Snape's eyes were terrifying, and he carried out a confiscation operation with a dark face. All the houses, including Slytherin, found the booklet. Snape's face was so gloomy that he looked like a corpse that had been dead for three days.
In this confiscation operation, Gryffindor suffered the most heavy losses. Snape seemed to have pinned the blame on Gryffindor because they had the most renamed booklets. Gryffindor lost so many points that it was despairing, and even Hermione almost gave up.
In short, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw kept their achievements hidden, and no one in the know dared to speak out.
Although Willotte lost the competition, she kept contacting me more and more often.
I comforted her, saying she wouldn't lose again.
Indeed, that was the case. Aside from the first match where Willow and her teammates lacked coordination and thus lost, Slytherin won every subsequent match. After all, this wasn't the original story, but fan fiction, specifically a female-centric story; Willow wouldn't willingly lose to anyone.
“Willow, you’re sure to win the next Quidditch match,” I said.
"Does Claire trust me?" Willotte asked, a slight smile playing on her lips as she looked in my direction.
"Not entirely." I thought for a moment. "I just felt that Willotte wouldn't lose."
