As soon as the beautiful young woman uttered her rather offensive words, everyone immediately turned to look at her.

Even if some of the men in the group felt sorry for Yao Yulang, they wouldn't lower themselves to make things difficult for a young girl. However, they also didn't want to get involved in the girls' verbal sparring. Meanwhile, the other women in the group were happy to watch the show, so no one spoke up to stop them.

"Equestrianism is a Western thing, you probably haven't had the chance to experience it before," the girl said sarcastically, feigning concern. "Mr. Yao is really careless, bringing you to a place like this. It's not a big deal if you embarrass yourself, but what if you fall off the horse and break your neck?" By the end, she was practically cursing him.

"Is this how you greet people in your family?" Gu Yunyun was too lazy to beat around the bush and asked bluntly. "You look like you received a modern education, but I also went to a modern school and I never heard my teachers say that this kind of sarcastic greeting was popular in the West." She added with her innocent big eyes, "My husband returned from studying abroad and is very polite."

The arrogant girl's smile instantly turned sour. Although her family couldn't compare to the Yao family, she had been pampered and adored since childhood. Coupled with her beautiful appearance, the boys around her always fawned over and indulged her. She was always the one giving others attitude; she had never encountered anyone who dared to talk back to her.

The girl dropped her feigned sweet smile and looked down at you with undisguised hostility and disdain, saying sarcastically, "I was just kindly reminding you, with your bound feet, you probably can't even step on a stirrup!"

"Then why don't we have a competition?"

"Huh?" The girl was taken aback by her audacity, rolled her eyes, and scoffed, "Little sister, are you kidding me? Ha, don't you know your own limitations?"

"You seem quite confident in your equestrian skills," Gu Yunyun said with a harmless smile. "It's supposed to be a competition, but it's really just for fun. I do have a suggestion; I wonder if you dare to give it a try?"

The girl glanced at her sideways. "Tell me."

"I saw a grove of trees at the edge of the horse farm, which was fairly open, so we decided to have our competition there," Gu Yunyun explained. "We had the people at the horse farm prepare some balloons filled with paint, and we threw those paint balloons at each other from horseback. The time limit was 15 minutes, and whoever had the least paint on them at the end won."

The system couldn't help but comment: "A Republic of China-style live-action CS, host is awesome."

Gu Yunyun grinned, showing her white teeth, and smiled brightly at the proud girl. "How about it? Want to try it on? If you can't bear to part with this outfit, I can ask my husband to pay for it back for you."

The girl was already intrigued, and these words only fueled her goading. She sneered, "I don't need that little bit of money. But you, don't go crying to Mr. Yao later and complaining that I bullied you!"

"No, no," Gu Yunyun said with a smile.

Money talks. Despite having never heard of their game before, the staff at the horse farm quickly found them a bamboo basket filled with painted balloons, put them in two small baskets, and fixed them to the necks of their horses, just as Gu Yunyun had described.

When Yao Yulang returned, he was completely bewildered to see Gu Yunyun rubbing her hands together in front of a basket of colorful balloons.

"What are you...?"

Before Gu Yunyun could speak, the beautiful young woman smiled and said to Yao Yulang, "Miss Yunyun just challenged me to a match. If I offend Miss Yunyun during the match, Mr. Yao, you mustn't be angry with me." Her charming demeanor completely concealed her previous arrogance and rudeness.

"Mmm." Gu Yunyun nodded, then secretly leaned close to Yao Yulang's ear and whispered, "I'm going to get my revenge later, so don't stop me."

Yao Yulang felt a tickle from her breath on his ear, and his heart felt a little itchy as if a kitten's tail had brushed against it. He subconsciously said okay. After answering, he curiously asked Gu Yunyun in a low voice, "What did I miss just now?"

"She just made fun of me because my feet are too small to stand on the stirrups, and even told me to be careful not to break my neck," Gu Yunyun complained in a low voice, angrily.

Upon hearing this, Yao Yulang raised his eyes and glanced at the girl.

The girl was extremely annoyed to see Gu Yunyun and Yao Yulang whispering intimately in each other's ears, ignoring her. When she saw Yao Yulang looking over, she quickly gave him a bright smile. Just as she was wondering whether to say something, she saw him turn his gaze back to Gu Yunyun and focus on talking to her.

Enraged, she cracked her whip, secretly determined to teach Gu Yunyun a lesson.

"I don't even know what to call him yet. I need to know who I beat." Gu Yunyun said as she mounted her horse.

"Stop being so arrogant. But a defeated opponent should remember my name. Remember it, my name is Qi Manling." The girl turned her horse around and headed to the other side.

Everyone watched from the edge of the woods, with Gu Yunyun and Qi Manling gazing at each other from opposite sides. A man holding a pocket watch kept time and gestured to a boy next to him holding a gong, who then struck the gong forcefully.

Gu Yunyun and Qi Manling reacted at the sound. Qi Manling whipped her whip and charged towards Gu Yunyun, her eyes filled with mockery and pity, as she bent down and picked up a paintball.

Gu Yunyun didn't rush to attack, but instead dodged to the side to avoid Qi Manling. Qi Manling's first throw lacked power, and the predicted direction was too low, landing harmlessly on the ground not far from Gu Yunyun.

Having learned from her experience, Qi Manling chased even closer and threw the ball at an angle higher than Gu Yunyun's.

Everyone saw that Gu Yunyun was only running away, and Qi Manling was becoming more and more courageous in her pursuit. But although Gu Yunyun was running away, she exuded composure. No matter how many paint balls Qi Manling threw at her, Gu Yunyun was able to easily dodge them.

Qi Manling's arm was starting to ache from throwing, but she still hadn't hit Gu Yunyun. She gradually became more and more irritable, throwing more and more, but her aim became increasingly off. Gu Yunyun seemed to be toying with her, stopping and turning back to wait for her when she couldn't keep up, which only fueled Qi Manling's anger.

"What do you mean by this?! Are you looking down on me?!" Qi Manling roared and threw another paintball at him.

Gu Yunyun easily dodged it by sidestepping, and then turned back with a grin to answer her, "Yes."

Qi Manling's anger surged up instantly, and she smashed the object even more frequently.

Qi Manling's paintballs were quickly emptied. When she saw Gu Yunyun reach for another paintball, she found nothing and her expression froze.

Seeing this, Gu Yunyun spurred her horse around her once, glanced at Qi Manling's empty bamboo basket, and gently held a paint ball in her hand. "Now it's your turn to run. I'll give you three counts to start."

Before Qi Manling could react, Gu Yunyun quickly counted, "Three, two, one! Hey!" As soon as she finished speaking, she raised her hand and smacked Qi Manling in the face and head, with drops of purplish-red paint dripping down.

"You...!" Qi Manling was suddenly filled with rage and was about to explode.

Gu Yunyun took out another paintball. "The rules are set. It's all about skill. Don't be a sore loser. Why don't you run away? I won't go easy on you."

Qi Manling took a deep breath, glared at her fiercely, turned the reins, and rode away.

Gu Yunyun didn't rush to chase after them. She reached into her small bag and pulled out a slingshot, which she had bought with Yao Yulang at a stall last time and had kept in her bag ever since. She placed the paintballs on the slingshot, squeezed her legs together, and spurred her horse forward.

Gu Yunyun followed behind Qi Manling, pulled back the slingshot, and the paint ball flew straight over and hit Qi Manling's shoulder, bursting open and splattering out dark green paint.

"Oops, it missed! It didn't hit her head!" Gu Yunyun said loudly to Qi Manling. "But it looks pretty good though, with all those colorful stains on her clothes."

Qi Manling was furious. She turned around abruptly to say something, but as soon as she turned around, a ball of paint came flying at her and hit her squarely in the face.

Gu Yunyun shouted happily, "I won this time!"

Qi Manling angrily wiped the paint off her face, and when she saw the slingshot in Gu Yunyun's hand, she was both shocked and furious. "You cheated!"

“The rules don’t say you can only throw with your hands, I didn’t break any rules. Who told you not to use your hands?” Gu Yunyun provoked her again, “If you’re scared, get off your horse now, call me and bow to me, respectfully call me ‘Grandma’ three times and I’ll stop.”

"You're dreaming!"

The people outside the woods watched as Gu Yunyun took out her slingshot, and some felt it was unfair.

One of Yao Yulang's good friends defended her, saying, "Miss Yunyun didn't say that other methods of throwing were not allowed. Besides, Miss Qi is confident in her horsemanship, so it's only fair of her to let Miss Yunyun have her way. Didn't you see that Miss Qi saw Miss Yunyun using a slingshot but didn't stop her?"

The others turned to look at the scene. Qi Manling was still desperately dodging Gu Yunyun on her horse, getting covered in colorful rubble and yelling angrily, but she didn't call for them to stop. Since the parties involved had no objections, they didn't need to meddle, especially since Gu Yunyun was under Yao Yulang's protection.

Yao Yulang only noticed that Gu Yunyun's hands left the reins when she pulled the slingshot, which made him very nervous.

Fifteen minutes were up, but Gu Yunyun was still somewhat reluctant to leave. She excitedly spurred her horse back to Yao Yulang's side.

Qi Manling, on the other hand, was in a much worse state. Her face was flushed red, whether from anger or embarrassment, and tears welled up in her red, angry eyes. Her friends, who were playing with her nearby, went over to comfort her.

Some girls used this incident to criticize Gu Yunyun, saying, "Miss Qi is just straightforward and said a few unpleasant things. Do you have to be so vindictive and bully her like this?"

"I'm bullying someone? When I explained the rules of the game, Miss Qi was very enthusiastic. The person in charge didn't say anything. Do you think Miss Qi is someone who can't take a game?"

"Since it's just a game, why did you have to be so ruthless? Who would hurt someone like this just by playing a game?"

Gu Yunyun looked at Qi Manling upon hearing this. Although Qi Manling was on the verge of tears and didn't say anything, she didn't stop the girl next to her from speaking.
