Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 95 The Impending Disaster

“Me?” William pointed to himself, unaware of what was happening.

"You're such a troublesome person," the old patriarch said, walking towards the closed door. "Anyway, you'll have to stay here a little longer. This is the first time our clan has been attacked by a horde of demons." Centuries later!

William never imagined that the reason he came up with to clear his name would backfire and bring such a disaster to his family and to him!

As the old man disappeared from William's sight, William remained standing there, with only one explanation in his mind.

This attack... was indeed aimed at him.

"Do you think it's that easy to get rid of me?" He clenched his fists, looking like a wounded old soul master.

As soon as William stepped out of the mansion, he discovered that a great commotion was waiting for him.

Everyone was running in such a horrible way. William didn't find it strange at all.

He knew that in his past life, once a large-scale monster outbreak occurred and swarmed in, all humans in any place would lose their homes and their lives.

This is no small matter at all!

He was one of the lucky few who were able to escape unscathed from a similar disaster.

In his previous life in the Long clan, he had never heard of such a monster outbreak.

"But that doesn't mean this group is like that group... at least that apocalypse is still many years away." He thought to himself as he watched this familiar scene unfold before him once again.

"Uncle..." Upon seeing his grandmother, he didn't hesitate to stop him, almost jumping up to block his way.

"What? This is not the time for idle chatter!" Grandma gave him a deep look, her eyes conveying more threat than warning.

"What level is this outbreak? What kind of monsters will we be facing?" William's next question made the elder and uncle hesitate.

He spoke so seriously that his grandmother couldn't tell if the little boy was pretending to be a strongman or something else.

"It's too early to draw conclusions, but at least a level three monster outbreak has occurred." Gran hesitated for a while, then watched as his beloved niece and the other three who had come with her ran to William's side.

“Early reports described them as scarlet monsters, and we have extensive experience dealing with such monsters.”

Then Grandma heard someone calling his name from one direction, and he started walking away. “Don’t risk your life. It’s not worth it. Trust us, these old folks, we’ll do our job and protect you, kids,” he said. These words of concern were directed not only at everyone around him, but at his beloved Berry.

However, once Berry looked away from her departing uncle's back, the gloomy expression on William's face gave her a bad feeling.

She began to see William as someone who never felt any danger or fear, someone who knew everything and could handle any situation. When William entered the mansion to meet her grandfather, she learned from her father what he had done in the forest.

She had already heard about his amazing feats in the forging department. She also learned of his extraordinary meeting with the dean of the academy, which made him even more impressive in her eyes.

Not to mention her and his personal experience.

All of this made her feel that the serious expression on his face was bad news, very bad news.

What the hell was going on? As Berry looked at him in horror, William felt a shock he had never experienced before in his life.

He was never a big shot or an important figure, at least not in this world.

But he never missed hearing about the news and events related to the monster outbreak back then. And even though he was indifferent to it at first, he now pays close attention to such news.

The red alert kept going off in his mind until his head was about to explode into pieces!

“This is strange…this…this is terrible…” He couldn’t help but tremble as he stood in the middle of the group.

Memories of his past life resurfaced in his mind. During his time at the academy, there had only been two monster outbreaks before that deadly apocalypse occurred.

Both of them belonged to the Thunder Demon and Wind Demon factions, and they caused considerable damage to the academy and its inhabitants.

But never before had any group of demons targeted a tribe, let alone such a large-scale outbreak of demons.

"What's wrong?" Berry was quite certain that something terrible was about to happen.

“Tell me… how much influence do you have in the tribe?” Without explaining any of his own feelings or thoughts, William couldn’t help but turn to her and ask in such a serious tone.

“Leverage…what do you mean?” Berry was confused. What did her position and connections within the family have to do with what was about to happen here?

“I need help, lots of help…” William stopped when he noticed her looking around as if searching for family, “not the kind of help that requires their intervention.”

“This…” Berry felt even more confused. In her opinion, the best bargaining chips she had received were from her grandfather, then her father and uncles.

“We can’t distract them and allow the tribe to prepare and take appropriate measures to deal with the monster invasion.” William had to think quickly. And at this moment, his rich life experience proved invaluable.

“Yes, I understand.” At that moment, Berry had just been defeated by William. The latter felt a pang of regret, but then quickly put that feeling aside.
