Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 37 The Torros Clan

"Toros? You don't mean those powerful Armored Elephant Soul Masters who possess earth elemental abilities, do you?"

William was stunned when he heard the name of the family. The Trois family was not only a powerful and famous family, but he also had another connection with them.

“They are…do you know them?” Lina’s eyes sparkled, surprised by William’s accurate assessment. For a moment, she recalled what William had said when he met Rokos’s children.

He recognized them at a glance, just as he had recognized the Torros family.

“My God… has the Toros family been wiped out?” William didn’t answer her; he asked about something else.

“The Lokos attacked our people alone,” Lina said, “but they haven’t touched the Torros family yet, and the Academy won’t allow them to do so.”

“Now,” William said, but then added something strange that confused her even more. “Tell me, do they still live in that remote Red Mountain? North of the college?”

"Are you a Soul Master from the Academy of Desire or the Golden Heaven Academy?!" Lina was shocked and confused.

The Toros family was once renowned for its power and formidable defenses. However, that was over a century ago. Some events occurred then, and the Toros family declined to such a weak state that they now live in the shadow and protection of the Academy.

But William was right, and he was absolutely right. The Torross family did indeed live there. He not only recognized them, but he also knew exactly where they lived. For a moment, Lina even doubted whether he was from the Golden Heaven Academy.

"I just enjoy learning about the world's problems." William shrugged, offering no explanation. After all, his own relationship with the Trois family was difficult to explain.

If he had to describe it, then he owed one person a debt for life. Without that Soul Master's help, he could not have escaped the destruction of the previous world alive, nor would he have lived to experience the outside world.

"So, are you a porter or a Soul Master?" For some reason, after learning that William knew her old master, Lina couldn't help but speak to him more amicably.

“This… is complicated,” William said mysteriously, then pointed to her mask. “Are you planning to wear that thing forever?”

"I'm sorry, young master." His sudden words caused her to revert to her conservative attitude. "I swear I will never show my face again to make up for my family's loss."

"Not even a glance? Don't tell me you're that ugly," William teased her, only to see her roll her eyes.

"Young master, there's no chance anymore."

"Saying my young master didn't mean it was cold" William smiled and waved his hand. "It's alright! Tell me, have you ever practiced martial spirit?"

"Soul? Is it food?" Suddenly, Tina's faint voice rang in their ears, startling them.

Along the way, William took out another potion, a life-saving potion, and every now and then he would drink a few drops into Tina's chapped lips.

She seemed to be in a better mood, slowly opened her eyes, and asked weakly.

“Tina? You’re awake? Thank God!” Lina forgot everything and hugged her sister. William stood silently by as Lina checked on her sister.

"Let's go, let's find a place to rest." This time, William chose a spot by a nearby river.

This time they got enough rest. They had moved far enough away from the war zone. And when Tina regained consciousness, William decided to stay there for a few hours to allow the two girls to recover their strength and have some food and drink.

William and the two girls then traveled for nearly four more days. During this time, he continuously killed bronze-level monsters and several silver-level monsters. His main problem was that many of these monsters moved in groups.

He dared not attack them. He hadn't yet begun using any training manuals, for there was time to do so. So his abilities were limited to arrows, throwing knives, footwork, and the little tricks he knew for using ores and terrain in combat, plus Lina's help.

Lina was indeed very helpful, but she relied solely on her physical strength. She had no cultivation techniques to use, nor any soul power to enhance her abilities. Therefore, even with her by his side, William couldn't risk facing a large group of monsters.

This caused him to waste a lot of time searching for suitable targets. After four days of fighting, he finally exceeded his target of 100 soul power by 50 points.

"It's time to go back." He finally decided to return to the academy. During this time, his main concern was not simply killing monsters and increasing his soul power, but dealing with other threats.

He was afraid of encountering any Soul Masters from Golden Heaven Academy. So, he decided to take a long detour, far away from the academy. And he was quite lucky; so far, he hadn't encountered a single person.

"Young Master, do you have a private residence on the academy grounds?"

Despite his repeated requests to Tina not to call him that, she continued to use it whenever she addressed him.

“Well, right now I have nothing there,” William said, unable to lie down in front of Tina’s innocent, big black eyes, “but soon I’ll have a big place of my own.”

William didn't mention that he already had a small cabinet. After all, his sudden increase in strength would cause a sensation within the academy.

With his soul power alone, he officially entered the ranks of Bronze Soul Masters. As for his Martial Soul level, it was already Silver, even equivalent to the Martial Soul level of an ordinary Gold Soul Master.

But the academy was unaware of the liquor classification system, so he held no hope. He took the two girls back, killing monsters along the way, even those of the white level, constantly fantasizing about the shock he would cause the academy.

Little did he know that while he was busy in the forest, he had already caused a sensation in the academy! He also didn't know that his name and face had become so widely known within the academy, and even among the academy's masters!
