Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 367 Necklace

Speaking of his deep gold ingots, he knew they weren't particularly rare. This was the heart of many trade routes, a hub for merchants.

But who could possess so many of these cores at once? Moreover, these cores originally belonged to a monster that was extremely difficult to find and kill. This was precisely the key to his ability to gain even greater profits this time.

“Hmm… there’s a necklace that can enhance strength, cure diseases, and summon powerful defensive formations,” her eyes sparkled like stars in a clear night sky, “it’s too expensive for me. So, darling, could you give it to me?”

"A gift? What exactly is it in exchange for?"

"Don't you like me?" She slowly approached him, but he slowly backed away, breaking free from her grasp.

She was thrilled with the necklace, which thrilled him just as much. He saw in it the opportunity he had been searching for—a chance to repay her doubly for everything she had done for him.

“Girl, don’t misunderstand me. I’m a respectable medium and I wouldn’t take advantage of any girl,” he explained, while holding back what he really wanted to say.

What he wanted to say was that it was best to stay away from a fierce girl like her and not get close to her.

When he finished speaking, she gave him a reproachful look.

“It makes no sense coming from someone who works for a madman surrounded by a hundred mature women,” she said, puffing out her cheeks. William’s mind conjured up some lewd images: an old man with white hair bouncing around among a group of sexy women, having a good time and enjoying his pleasures.

“Cough cough, I’m not like him,” he cleared his throat, trying to banish those unsavory images from his mind.

"So... what do you want?"

"For what? Nothing." William paused, and finally a wicked smile appeared on his face.

"What? I don't like that look in your eyes!" She sensed an ominous premonition from his gaze. It wasn't a look of lust, but rather like that of a hungry lion spotting a deer.

“I guarantee you’ll like it,” William winked, then quickened his pace and continued walking. “Where’s the auction house?”

"I won't tell you unless you tell me what you want in exchange for that necklace."

“Then don’t say anything.” William had already gotten the name of the place out of her. Soon, he got directions by asking people around him. Seeing that he was keeping quiet, Luo panicked a little.

"Please! I'm willing to do anything for you, even leave you forever, but just tell me what you want in exchange for that necklace."

Can you tell me what you're thinking?

"You're bluffing! You're such a brat! I thought you'd fall for it! A kid from a mentally challenged academy can't even afford a room in any of these hotels, let alone such an expensive necklace! That's right, I saw through your trick, hahaha!"

She tried to seduce him, then reason with him, then make promises, then doubt and belittle him. But all of this failed; he continued walking slowly and resolutely in one direction.

The closer they got, the more anxious she became. His plan was crystal clear to her. She told him how much she wanted the necklace, but she didn't have the money to buy it.

So he decided to buy it and keep it for himself, using it to blackmail her and achieve his own goals. Just thinking about it made her dizzy, regretting her rashness and impulsiveness in buying the necklace without knowing the boy's character.

Without realizing it, she felt as if she had fallen into a carefully woven trap. But trying to forget everything and return to the place that had initially struck her was futile.

From the confident look on his face, she knew that once he got the necklace, he wouldn't let her enjoy a moment of freedom and rest.

And that was exactly William's plan. He was going to buy the necklace and then use it to get what he wanted from her.

As for what he wanted, he decided to keep it a secret until he bought the necklace. As for the crystals needed to buy the necklace, if he didn't have enough crystals at the moment, he would wait until all the core crystals were sold before buying them.

After all, she couldn't afford such a necklace, and none of the people she knew besides him could.

This necklace is of excellent quality and comes with great conditions; it is at least made of gold, and possibly even dark gold.

A piece of equipment crafted in deep gold and resembling jewelry? Even in the outside world, such an item would be considered a treasure and could fetch an astronomical price.

Even if she resisted his attempt, he wouldn't suffer much loss. To possess a necklace that could generate a shield to protect oneself? If it were of unique quality, then the power of this shield would be enough to withstand any unique spirit master or monster.

For William, it was a life-saving toy, something his weakened body truly needed at the time.

Therefore, in his view, this was a worthwhile deal. That's why he continued walking, exuding a calm yet domineering aura that filled Luo with dread.

In less than an hour, William and Rowe arrived at the Raefs' house. William could tell from a distance that it was one of the "Seven Great Beasts".

The Lockhart family left a deep impression on him. They were powerful and wealthy, owning vast tracts of land here.

In a space so small, not naturally formed, and with no room for further expansion, every meter here is priceless.
