"And what about this team?"

“This is my team,” Luo tossed her long hair over her shoulder, making her look even more alluring. “Can you imagine? Owning me means owning the entire team for free.”

“Sorry, it would be too much trouble to give it away for free,” William laughed. “Is this team also participating in the competition?”

She was there, the only living person who witnessed everything he did nearby, and the only one who could connect him to all this chaos.

"Did you really take her words seriously?" He retorted in his own way in response to her harsh words. "You know her and her team better than I do, and you can tell they enjoy making things worse for any man and manipulating them, right?"

"Oh, well... that's to be expected!" Many people around turned their gazes to Luo and the others, and couldn't help but think of Luo's infamous reputation for cruelty.

"Don't let him lie to you! It's all his fault!" Luo Yue became increasingly angry and continued to yell at the crowd, while William remained silent.

The louder she shouted and the more desperately she tried to persuade others, the more people believed her, while he remained silent and calm.

A few minutes later, she knew she had lost. "I swear, I'll make you pay!" she turned to William, waving her fist and threatening.

“I will not let this futile attempt to frame me go easily,” William responded with his own threat.

"Luo, is this for real?" If others couldn't tell whether she was joking or telling the truth, her teammates could easily tell.

"That bastard! Don't be fooled by his innocent look! I saw it with my own eyes! He mercilessly slaughtered the Black Mamba's team, and it caused quite a stir in his academy."
