Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 282 Black Magic

“They’re not that powerful,” William shook his head. “If we wait for the monsters to start killing each other, we’ll be playing them for fools! That’s the wrong way to deal with these raging beasts. We must take the initiative, strike them at their most unexpected times and places, and then charge in when things get really bad.”

“This reminds me of something…” Ibra paused, looking William up and down, “If we can come and go from this formation at any time, why are you making us wait so long for the scouts? Is the main force arriving yet?”

“Who said anyone can come and go so easily?!” William looked surprised.

"this…"

“I have to build something first,” William understood the problem in Ibra’s mind. “Without it, no one, not even me, can get in and out of this array at any time.”

"Tch! This annoying guy created such a troublesome formation!"

William ignored Ibra's last sarcastic remark, took out a piece of paper and a paintbrush, and began to write and draw some strange symbols.

"What...what kind of alien language is this?!" Ibra exclaimed in surprise, taking a few steps back from William.

"Why retreat like this?" William noticed Ibrahimovic's strange behavior and couldn't help but ask.

"This is damned black magic! I don't want to be cursed! Curse yourself however you want!" Ibra seemed to believe what he had just said and seemed frightened by the matter, constantly retreating away from William.

"You...you're so old, and you're still scared by something like this? You're such a big kid!"

“I’m perfectly safe,” Ibuki defended his position. “If I’m cursed, I won’t get any help. Damn it! How do you know such magic?!”

William was speechless, unable to believe such a terrifying fantasy story. The words he had told the children before bedtime were deeply imprinted in Ibra's mind.

“You’re overreacting! This is the password that got us through that array. Come on, let me tell you what each symbol means…”

"Stay away from me!" William simply stretched out his arm, gesturing for Ibrahimovic to come closer. But the latter was immediately startled and jumped up, quickly moving dozens of meters away.

This left William speechless, and he decided to start using this weakness of his to tease Ibrahimovic.

“We’ll have a lot of fun,” William thought to himself, looking at the genuine fear on Ibra’s face. Then he went back to what he was doing, writing down those strange symbols that were considered ancient alphabets in the outside world.

William knew that secrets and black magic weren't entirely fantasy. However, encountering someone skilled in such things was more difficult than searching for precious minerals throughout the central continent!

“Alright,” William said, putting away his paintbrush. “Come on, it’s safe here.”

“Really?” Ibra seemed somewhat skeptical about getting close to William, which made the latter smile wickedly.

"Yes, I have completed all the black magic. Don't worry, I only mentioned your name twice."

"Fuck you!" Ibrahimovic was terrified when he heard William's words. He even kept his distance and didn't approach William.

"Buddy, you have to get close to me to activate the curse."

"Activate it yourself, you bastard!"

William couldn't help but laugh at this point. "Come on, I was just kidding."

"I'm not going to get close to you! Let's keep our distance, even if it's just a few kilometers!"

"Don't make me chase you." William didn't give him any time to react before rushing forward, leaping across the thirty-meter distance between them.

“Stay away from me! Don’t come near me! Don’t come near me, or I won’t put my knife away!” Ibra shouted, but his voice and body trembled, and his hand holding the knife seemed to be struggling. He aimed it straight at William’s face.

"Stop talking nonsense, there's no danger here." William rolled his eyes. "Don't you trust me that much?"

"Zero trust, no, it's already negative!"

"Stop it! You're too old for that! Don't make me chase you!" William said, trying to suppress his laughter as he chased after Ibrahimovic.

The latter tried to escape, but to his horror, his body and limbs trembled uncontrollably, as if he were facing the most ferocious and deadliest monster in the world.

“I said it’s okay, there’s no danger here,” William said after playing for five minutes. “Let’s stop this crazy behavior now. We still have monsters to kill. If you’re brave enough, come outside with me and then be confined here like a chicken.”

"This...you're so good with words!" Ibra finally stopped running around and became curious about what William had just said.

“Let’s go then, stop running around like chickens.” William turned his back to Ibra and started walking towards the formation. “Let’s choose our targets first.”

"Tch!" Ibra seemed to be torn between fear and his own ego, but ultimately succumbed to the latter and followed William.

After they arrived at the formation, they saw that many monsters had gathered there.

“This place certainly attracts a lot of people,” Ibra shook his head, waving his hand in the air a few times. “Should we go out and reduce their numbers?”

"Do we want to make these horrible creatures pay even more attention to us? No," William shook his head. "It's not a good thing to waste our time and energy on these weak flies. Let's go sightseeing first and find a better target."

“Alright.” Ibu didn’t object, nor did he insist on his own idea. He knew that when the two of them got out, they would have to fight the large number of monsters outside the formation to their heart’s content. He wanted to vent the anger and pressure brought on by William’s behavior just now.
