Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 237 Burning the Message

“Yes…of course…” The merchant didn’t know if William was just being generous, or if he would go back on his word and cut back on many of the items he wanted once he heard the terrible prices of everything.

But seeing William's silence and composure, the businessman decided to follow his own greed and rush out to complete the big deal as soon as possible.

The merchants worried that news of such a fat fish would spread to other merchants in the area, and many might try their luck by coming to find William.

As long as William doesn't leave the safe zone, no one will find him. But the merchant fears they will pressure him to see William in exchange for what he wants.

So the merchant acted swiftly, sending all his men to do business with most of the stall owners in the market.

Instead of buying everything from several stalls, he distributed what William wanted so that everyone could have everything equally.

This might lead many to doubt the existence of such a rich catch, but given the small scale of each merchant's trade, the chances of it being discovered are quite slim.

Like any businessman, the merchant tried everything to maximize his profits and secure his trade. William knew the merchant would act quickly to complete the deal, so he wouldn't risk losing it to someone else.

William didn't want to stay there any longer. After all, many of the things he had obtained needed further processing before they could be used.

Moreover, he also needs to go back and draw out the formations his team will use, so that everyone will know what to do when they need to use these formations.

William's pricing strategy for merchants was designed to incite their inherent, fierce greed. In the near future, a large influx of Dragon Clan leaders will flood the market.

The price, which was originally high at 500,000 or even 60,000 spirit crystals, will plummet to the bottom when it reaches 20,000 spirit crystals or even less.

Selling it for 40,000 and getting what William wanted was, in his opinion, a pretty good deal. Let alone selling it directly, even collecting spirit crystals to buy what he wanted here was far more difficult than anyone imagined.

There are very few channels to sell these cores; he needs to find wealthy individuals with readily available crystals to pay for his precious cores.

Finding such buyers takes a long time, and getting the crystals from them takes even longer.

William decided to barter with the merchants here. He didn't need to get too many crystals, and in the end, he got what he wanted without having to worry about how to sell these cores.

This is part of the reason he lowered these core prices, making merchants more willing to undertake such tasks and take such risks.

Just half an hour after he went inside, the merchant sent a child to bring William a pot of tea, two cups, and some desserts.

However, this was just a minor incident and a small mistake on the merchant's side.

“This…” William was about to take a sip of tea when he noticed a small piece of paper folded under the teacup. When he unfolded the newspaper, he found it was a short message inviting him to meet at another stall.

"Hahaha, that guy's movements were faster than I expected; he's already attracted attention." William crumpled the paper and burned it with his soul power.

He wasn't seeking any profit from this deal. Otherwise, he wouldn't have just come to one stall; he would have visited many stalls, looking for something more affordable.

William inwardly scoffed at these businessmen. Their sole focus on profit had led them to misunderstand his true intentions.

He wanted to get his business done, and hoped to do so as quickly as possible without any problems.

Ten minutes later, another child arrived, bringing another bowl of fruit with three more messages on it, just like the previous ones.

Just like the first message, all the others who entered the curtain through the hands of the laborers were burned by William.

William didn't want to leave any trace, otherwise these poor children would anger the merchant for committing such a crime in his eyes.

One can imagine how furious the vendor at this stall would be upon learning of such a audacious act. Even if he knew who was behind it all, he wouldn't target any of them. Instead, he would unleash all his anger on the poor children who were passing on these messages.

William understood why these children did it. They were generally being abused, and the opportunity to earn extra money was one that only a fool would refuse.

William sat in a secluded area, eating the desserts and fruits that had been brought to him, calmly sipping his tea, while burning with the information he had received, his face showing no change.

"Done!" After sitting there for three hours, pondering his future plans, the fat businessman strode over.

He was soaked in sweat, as if he had been running the whole time. William didn't know, but when he didn't reply to the messages from the big merchants in the market, they assumed the fat merchant had received them.

So the other merchants began to harbor hostility towards this merchant and didn't give him much of what he wanted. They wanted to buy more time until they could somehow get their message to William.

When they received the reply from the children they had bribed, they realized that the problem was not with the merchants, but with William himself.
