Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 216 William finally makes his move

Looking around, one could see many corpses lying on the ground, bleeding from various places and with many wounds. Two more corpses were thrown into the air and fell off the arena.

Both men were members of Galend's team. They were struck by the shockwave and the aftershocks of the explosion, ultimately tumbling through the air. They were disqualified from the competition when they left the arena.

"To do such a thing for victory... and still dare to call themselves a Soul Master... How despicable!"

Just as William was checking from his position to see if Lucas and the others were still alive, Garland's deep voice came, and he slowly stood up.

He wasn't the only one to stand up; three others did as well. Two of the three were badly injured, but not as badly as the others.

“Judge…we admit…” Just as Lucas’s weak voice was about to continue, one of the three men who stood up acted quickly, kicking Lucas in the stomach, sending him rolling several meters on the ground, interrupting his surrender.

Seeing Lucas lying there, his face covered in mud and blood, his eyes pleading with William to surrender on their behalf, William's blood boiled.

William gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, looking at the four people standing on the platform. The others were all lying down, unable to utter a sound.

Lucas mustered his remaining strength and tried to surrender, but was instead kicked hard, which humiliated him. He didn't even have the strength to scream, and his eyes pleaded with William to surrender.

"You pathetic bunch of fools... After doing all this, you still dream of leaving? Surrendering? If you wanted to surrender from the start, then why did you do all this to my team?"

This time, it was Garland who kicked Lucas away in a fit of immense rage and hatred. His eyes were bloodshot, and his body trembled with fury.

"Once you start doing something, you must be prepared to bear the consequences!"

"Well said." Just as Galen and the others were about to vent their anger on all the powerless falcons on the ground, William clapped his hands at the other end of the arena, looking calm.

If that guy from his class were still here, instead of being thrown into the air a few seconds earlier, he would know how serious and dangerous William's situation was at that moment.

"Are you still standing?" Garend tilted his head and gave William a strange look. "Come on, cut off his limbs, but don't kill him yet," he added, gesturing for two of the three men still standing next to him to aim at William.

“If you want to concede, you can concede on behalf of someone else.” Even the judge doesn’t like what happens on the battlefield. According to the rules, he can’t directly intervene, but he can at least offer William honest advice.

William understood what Galendr meant. To activate the rescue totem, he had to actively touch it. He had his men cut off William's arm, just as they had used the totem to stop him from escaping.

Under the immense pressure from the entire bloody battlefield, amidst the suffocating silence emanating from the stands, with the fate and lives of this outstanding team in his hands, William straightened his back, facing away from the front. Two running Soul Masters approached him, calm smiles on their faces.

Anyone looking at him now would think he'd gone mad, forgotten what he was supposed to be doing. William shouldn't be standing there smiling like an idiot; he should surrender immediately and save his own troops.

Even if he's a heartless guy who doesn't care about the others in the team, he should at least hurry up and touch the rescue totem, or even jump off the stage to disqualify himself.

He should have acted quickly to at least save his own life, instead of facing death like this.

The entire audience on the grand arena focused their attention on this battlefield. What was happening here was the bloodiest and most brutal event of the day, perhaps even ranking among the top five most shocking events in the history of the competition.

"Run for your lives!"

"Use the totem!"

"Save others, surrender!"

"To lose a battle and then live on, what an idiot!"

"He's such an idiot!"

In the next few seconds, shouts erupted from the audience, echoing throughout the stadium. At such a decisive moment, many people began to advise, insult, and even curse William for his inner weakness and uselessness.

However, William remained in his own position, completely ignoring all of this!

In his eyes, he was like someone standing at the top of the world, watching others strive to climb to his position. Fear? Doubt? Escape? Absolutely not! He wouldn't even consider such things!

“I can kill them, right?” Suddenly, when the two silver-level soul masters sent by Galen were less than twenty meters away from him, William slowly spoke and uttered this strange sentence.

"Okay." The referee didn't understand what was wrong with the kid, but out of habit as a referee in the Grand Arena, he answered reflexively.

“Excellent,” William smirked, raised his sword, and vanished in an instant. “You deserve to die!”

The technique he used was nothing more than his lightning elemental acceleration technique. This was enough to carry him a hundred meters, and he passed through it in just a few seconds. But this time, he controlled it and it took him less than a second to travel forty meters.
