Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 211 Meeting a Good Team

He could guess when he would be able to do such a thing.

William began speaking with the two team leaders. They were so focused on the ongoing battle that they only exchanged a few pleasantries with him.

Both were Gold-level male Soul Masters. William began to notice that the team leaders of the Bronze teams in this competition were all Gold-level Soul Masters, and only the best teams did so.

No ordinary team, whether it's a team of the Red Falcon's caliber, Galend's team, the team the Red Falcon is facing, or any other team William has seen so far, has gained any lead.

This tells William how special these teams are. They are like an informal team composed of important figures from the Soul Master world surrounding the academy.

Contrary to William's expectations, the two guys were easy to talk to. He even suspected that if not only were the two teams still fighting, these two guys would buy him a drink or something.

William learned their names, or what they had just told him, and established a way to communicate with them.

The standard method involves using a piece of paper or something similar, writing one's name and soul power on it, and then infusing it with one's own soul power. Using this paper, any soul master who possesses it can send a text message to the paper's owner.

But this paper needs to be inscribed with a special set of symbols. These symbols are the magic behind the communication that takes place through this method.

The only drawback is that the magic won't happen if the owner of the paper is far away from the person holding it.

This piece of paper is known as a "message paper" in this world, and as a "bullet" in other places!

William received two blank sheets of paper from the two leaders, wrote his name on them, and infused them with his soul power. He also received a note from each of them, promising to meet again later.

William had just introduced himself as a loyal fan of both teams, an ordinary fan and supporter of either of the better teams in the match. Initially, the two leaders didn't say much to him, simply wanting him to finish what he wanted to say before leaving.

But when Willian expressed sympathy for the fate of both teams and spoke of how unfair the situation was, the two leaders began to take an interest in him.

They see him as a fan of their team, and dealing with such fans is something they wouldn't refuse.

William stayed there for a few minutes before the battle ended. One team capitalized on a small mistake by the other to ultimately secure victory.

After the match, William said goodbye to the team leaders of both teams and continued his journey. Both players looked at William with strange expressions, wondering who he was.

The following matches didn't yield any good results. The remaining teams fighting here were all inferior to the two teams he had just seen.

"Tch! Next time I should reserve a seat in the stands." William felt how foolish it was to wander around, inspect one battlefield, and then jump to another.

Each station takes at least half a minute, and getting from one battlefield to another takes another half a minute, with a maximum of one minute.

If he simply visited all twenty-three battlefields, he would waste half an hour or even more. How many battles would end during that time? How many teams' matches would he miss?

"Tch! Next time I'll watch from the stands." William glanced at the numerous seats at the edge of the vast arena, then walked towards the Sixteenth Battlefield.

"You really came!" Dolph seemed to believe that William would use his past words as an excuse to skip the upcoming battle.

William wanted to tell this guy that if he had a choice, he would leave the arena and go to the stands to watch the fight from there.

But it was too late for him to do it. The entire audience was filled with Soul Masters, watching the battle intently.

“I can’t let the team down,” William decided, adding a touch of loyalty to his actions if he ultimately decided to stick it out. “How’s our next opponent?”

“Just an ordinary team,” Lucas shrugged. “The next teams are the same as before. Our only obstacle is the fifth round.”

William sensed the atmosphere around him becoming tense again. It seemed the closer they got to Galend and his group, the more nervous the team became.

William sighed inwardly. He had assumed that with each victory, their morale would improve. But he was wrong.

After crushing the teams in the third round, this team was even mediocre compared to the Red Falcon. This made William wonder how such a team had gotten this far, while one of the two excellent teams he had seen before had not done so. After this team returned, William continued to look for outstanding talents.

He was lucky this time. During his one-hour break, he discovered five ongoing battles, and all the teams were quite interesting.

Ultimately, he became friends with three of the five excellent teams he had discovered. Not all leaders were as friendly as the three he had encountered before.

In addition, the same unfortunate situation of encountering the same good team was repeated on the same battlefield, which made him sigh deeply.

"Like Lucas said, it's really unfortunate." William wondered how such a good team could have met so early.

This is the third round.

“But… I haven’t encountered any of the top three teams yet, nor have I encountered any of Galen and Luo’s teams.” William felt that the further the competition progressed, the better and more familiar the teams he would encounter would become.
