She turned and returned to her seat, leaning against the window frame, closing her eyes as if preparing to rest. But a faint smile lingered on her lips, as if hiding some unspoken secret.

Chu Zihang remained standing at the doorway, raindrops pattering on his shoulders, yet they did not shake him in the slightest. His gaze was fixed on the dark distance, but his thoughts had already been slightly stirred by Xia Mi's words.

This night was destined to be anything but peaceful; the wind mingled with rain and thunder, as if hinting at something about to happen, something they could not foresee.

The rain had completely stopped, and a thin morning mist hung over the mountains and fields. Inside the dilapidated stone hut, the group quickly packed their gear and prepared to continue their journey. Lu Mingfei rubbed his eyes and stood up; his body ached from the intermittent sleep he'd had the night before, but seeing everyone ready to go, he could only grit his teeth and pull himself together.

Caesar stood outside, took a deep breath of the cooled morning air, stretched his shoulders, turned to look at Chu Zihang, and smiled lazily: "Was today's itinerary interesting? Hopefully, we won't run into any more monsters. That guy was quite annoying yesterday."

Chu Zihang inspected the Dragon Cutter once, his tone still indifferent: "The ruins of the Secret Society will not be easy. We need to get to the next point quickly."

Tian shouldered his gear bag, yawned, and said, "Chu Zihang, come on, can't you be a little less serious sometimes? Can't you relax a bit?"

"That's just how he is." Caesar shrugged, turning to look at Xia Mi. "But to be honest, I'm more concerned about you, Xia Mi. Was what you did at the altar last night really just luck?"

Xia Mi chuckled softly, flicking her bangs with her fingers, her tone playful: "Of course, what other skills do you think I have?"

Caesar narrowed his eyes and said with a half-smile, "I've always felt that your intuition is a bit too supernatural. But since Chu Zihang isn't going to pursue it, I'm not interested in asking any further questions."

Chu Zihang didn't reply, but simply glanced coldly at Caesar: "Let's go."

The group set off again, the air still carrying the damp scent of the rain. Lu Mingfei followed behind Xia Mi, and couldn't help but whisper, "Xia Mi, aren't you afraid at all? That altar looked so dangerous yesterday..."

"Of course I'm scared, I'm scared." Xia Mi stopped and turned to look at Lu Mingfei, a somewhat exaggerated expression on her face. "But since things have already come to that point, what's the use of being scared?"

“That’s true…” Lu Mingfei scratched his head and muttered, “But I think you’re much calmer than all of us. Is it really just… intuition?”

Xia Mi narrowed her eyes and deliberately lowered her voice mysteriously, saying, "Perhaps, perhaps it's because I understand dragons better than you do?"

Lu Mingfei's eyes widened: "What?"

"Just kidding!" Xia Mi laughed heartily, patting Lu Mingfei on the shoulder. "Don't take it so seriously, Lu. Okay, let's go, don't fall behind."

Lu Mingfei opened his mouth, but swallowed the words back, and could only follow the group in a sullen voice. He increasingly felt that Xia Mi was not as simple as she seemed on the surface, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what was wrong.

After passing through a dense forest, the terrain gradually opened up ahead, and a patch of ruins came into view. There were several broken stone towers, surrounded by weeds, and a faint smell of sulfur filled the air.

“This place…” Tian frowned, covering his nose with his hand, “is it another Camarilla site?”

Chu Zihang stopped and scanned the area ahead with sharp eyes: "This doesn't seem like an ordinary ruin. The aura here is much stronger. The Secret Society might be carrying out some kind of activity."

Caesar gripped his rune sword, his tone light and excited: "Alright, this is finally getting interesting. Shall we go in?"

Chu Zihang nodded and said in a low voice, "Be careful, don't let your guard down."

The group slowly approached the stone tower. The surroundings were deathly silent; not even the chirping of insects or birds could be heard. The smell of sulfur in the air grew stronger, and Lu Mingfei's heart pounded faster.

"Something's really off about this place," he muttered, instinctively slowing his pace.

“Yeah, something’s definitely not right.” Xia Mi followed beside him, her tone casual as if she were chatting. “But isn’t that the point of us being here?”

Lu Mingfei turned to look at her, a chill creeping into his heart. He always felt that Xia Mi's smile concealed some secret, and her seemingly casual words always hit the nail on the head.

As Chu Zihang approached the stone tower, he suddenly stopped, his gaze fixed on a shadowy patch at the base of the tower. His voice was low and alert: "Someone's there."

A playful smile appeared on Caesar's lips, and he slightly raised his rune sword: "Looks like this is the Camarilla's welcoming ceremony."

Sure enough, several figures emerged from the shadows at the base of the tower, all dressed in the black robes of the Camarilla. They stood in a row, their gazes cold and sinister, holding glowing rune-inscribed staffs in their hands.

The leader raised his head, revealing a pale face. His voice was low and hoarse, filled with intense hostility: "People from Kassel College? They're like persistent ghosts."

Chu Zihang took a small step forward, and the Dragon Cutter slowly drew its sheath, the blade reflecting a cold light. His gaze was stern, and his tone was unwavering: "We're like a persistent ghost, and you've been up to your own tricks. What is the Secret Society's purpose? You'd better tell us now."

Caesar lazily raised his rune sword, a mocking smile playing on his lips: "Don't expect to scare us. Tell me honestly, what are you trying to resurrect this time?"

The leader of the Camarilla sneered, slowly raised his rune staff, and muttered an ancient incantation. A blood-red rune suddenly appeared on the ground beneath his feet, followed by a surge of scorching heat in the air at the base of the tower.

"They really love all this fancy stuff." Caesar took a step forward, his tone laced with disdain.

“You shouldn’t have come.” The Camarilla member’s voice was hoarse and low, as if warning or cursing, “This is the will of the Dragon King, and mortals are not worthy to pry into it!”

As soon as the words were spoken, the ground trembled violently, and the walls of the stone tower began to crack. Countless red runes climbed along the cracks, as if they were imbued with some kind of life force. An oppressive energy surged from the ground, as if the entire ruins had been activated.

Chu Zihang shouted coldly, "Prepare for battle!"

Tian swiftly raised his rune gun, the charged beam shooting straight at the Camarilla members. But they were prepared; their rune staffs were held horizontally in front of their chests, instantly creating a barrier that blocked Tian's attack.

"Troublesome," Tian muttered through gritted teeth.

Caesar had already rushed forward, his rune sword slashing at one of them with swift and precise movements. However, the Camarilla member dodged quickly, swinging his rune staff and unleashing a stream of black energy that struck Caesar's side.

Caesar nimbly dodged to the side, then swung his rune sword backhand, forcing his opponent to retreat. At the same time, Chu Zihang had already closed in, and the leading member of the Secret Society could only focus on defense, his rune staff clashing with the Dragon Cutter, sparking a blinding burst of sparks.

Lu Mingfei stared blankly at the chaotic battle before him. He instinctively drew his dagger, but his palms were drenched in cold sweat, making it almost impossible to hold. He took a step back, his gaze involuntarily turning to Xia Mi.

Xia Mi neither drew her weapon nor made a move. She simply stood aside, her gaze fixed on the red runic light, her expression focused and calm. She seemed completely unconcerned about the threat posed by the Camarilla, as if she were analyzing something profound.

"Xia Mi, you..." Lu Mingfei called out nervously, but before he could finish speaking, she gently waved her hand to interrupt him.

"Quiet down, Lu." Xia Mi's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an inexplicable air of authority. "They can handle it. Just watch."

Before the words were even finished, the tremors beneath the ground suddenly intensified, and a massive crack appeared at the top of the stone tower, from which a dense aura of dragons surged forth. Crimson light churned in the air, seemingly coalescing into some kind of tangible substance. A deep roar echoed from underground, deafeningly loud, like a colossal beast from the abyss.
