The man in black robes raised his scepter, activating an energy shield that blocked the first wave of attacks. But Tian did not stop; his movements were fluid and seamless as he fired several precise rune bullets in succession, shattering the shield and then piercing the opponent's chest.

"Don't let them activate the formation!" Chu Zihang shouted, his figure rushing towards the enemy group like the wind. His blade flashed through the air, instantly severing the scepters of two black-robed men.

However, these members of the Camarilla were clearly suicidal; they showed no fear and began chanting obscure incantations, causing the surrounding runes to glow even brighter. As the incantation was completed, a massive, ethereal dragon shadow emerged from the runes, pressing down on the four with an aura of destruction.

"What is this thing again!" Lu Mingfei retreated to the back, staring dumbfounded at the dragon-shaped phantom that was even larger than the black shadow from before. Its eyes were like burning flames, and every swing of its claws would unleash a violent energy storm.

“The remaining power of Nidhogg.” Tian’s gaze was cold, but his tone carried a hint of uncertainty. “They have infused this power into the rune array, trying to completely seal us off.”

"My God, this is practically cheating!" Caesar cursed through gritted teeth as he fired. "Chu Zihang, if you don't help us this time, I think we'll really have to die with you."

Chu Zihang did not respond, but gripped the sword with both hands, the blade gleaming with a cold light. His figure flashed like lightning, heading straight for the core of the dragon shadow. However, the dragon shadow let out a deafening roar, its massive wings flapping to create a hurricane that blew Chu Zihang back several meters, causing him to land heavily on the ground.

"It's too powerful!" Lu Mingfei exclaimed, his voice filled with unease.

“We don’t need to kill it,” Tian said coldly, pointing his gun at the left side of the dragon shadow. “Destroy the rune array; its power originates from here!”

"Understood!" Chu Zihang quickly adjusted his stance and charged towards the dragon shadow again. He did not confront it head-on, but instead swiftly weaved through the dense attacks, his blade pointing directly at the rune stone tablet on the ground.

"Mingfei, cover Chu Zihang!" Tian shouted, while a bullet shot towards another rune stone tablet on the right, the light cracking the runes on that tablet.

Lu Mingfei gritted his teeth, gripped his knife, and faced the charging black-robed man. Although his movements were clumsy, with the blessing of the incantation "Don't die," he managed to block the enemy's attack, buying Chu Zihang time.

Chu Zihang's blade finally cleaved through the second stone tablet, and the light of the rune array dimmed by half instantly. The dragon shadow's movements slowed noticeably for a moment, but its roar grew even more furious, and its power surged once more.

"The last one!" Caesar yelled as he fired to suppress the enemy. "God, hurry up!"

Tian did not respond; his gaze was as cold as ice. He fired both guns simultaneously, the bullets striking precisely the core of the last stone tablet. With a violent explosion, the rune array completely collapsed, and the dragon shadow's ethereal form twisted and ultimately dissipated into countless fragments into the air.

The entire passage fell silent instantly, with only the four people's rapid breathing remaining.

"Is it over?" Lu Mingfei asked softly, his eyes filled with exhaustion.

"This wave is over." Tian put away his dual pistols, his gaze coldly fixed on the exit. "But the road ahead will only be more dangerous."

The dragon's roar echoed through the night sky, shaking the very air. Its wings flapped slowly, each movement creating powerful gusts of wind that ripped through the surrounding ruins. Its eyes, like burning torches, were fixed on the four people at the exit, filled with a destructive intent.

Lu Mingfei stood rooted to the spot, his gaze fixed on the giant dragon, his palms already soaked with sweat. His throat was dry, and he involuntarily took a step back, but behind him came Tian's cold command: "Stand firm."

Lu Mingfei was taken aback. He took a deep breath and forcefully stopped himself from retreating. He gripped the knife in his hand, forced himself to calm down, and turned his gaze back to the giant dragon.

"Don't be scared, Mingfei." Caesar's voice came from the side, as relaxed as ever, but with less of his usual cynicism. "This is just a bigger battle. We survived everything before, didn't we?"

“This time seems a little different.” Lu Mingfei smiled wryly, trying his best to hide his nervousness. “It looks like the true incarnation of Nidhogg.”

“It’s just a remnant of its power,” Tian said in a low voice, his twin pistols already raised, his gaze fixed on the dragon’s vital points. “However, it is indeed stronger than the previous dragon shadow. Don’t think about confronting it head-on; we need to find its core.”

"Where is the core?" Chu Zihang asked coldly, his footsteps already moving silently, his blade reflecting a cold light in the moonlight.

“In the chest,” Tian replied. “Every dragon manifested from will has a core, the source of its power. We need to break it, but we must first weaken its defenses.”

The dragon finally moved, letting out a deafening roar. Its massive body leaped from the ruins, its wings whipping up a violent gust of wind that swept towards the four like a mini storm. The air was thick with the acrid smell of sulfur, making it almost impossible to breathe.

"Scatter!" Tian shouted, leaping to the side and firing his dual pistols in rapid succession. The bullets, glowing with runes, shot towards the dragon's wings. However, the bullets were deflected by the dragon's protective barrier as soon as they approached the dragon, causing no real damage whatsoever.

Caesar opened fire quickly, his dual pistols unleashing a barrage of bullets that rained down, but they were also completely blocked by the barrier. He couldn't help but curse, "This guy's defense is simply unreasonable! How do we break through?"

Chu Zihang said nothing, his figure flashing through the night like lightning, his blade aimed directly at the dragon's nape. His attack was swift and precise, yet it left only a shallow mark upon contact with the dragon's scales. The dragon suddenly swung its tail, and Chu Zihang swiftly flipped in mid-air, narrowly avoiding the attack, but his feet still slid several meters when he landed.

"Its defense is too strong!" Chu Zihang said coldly, a hint of seriousness flashing in his eyes. "We must break through the barrier first."

"The barrier's power originates from its dragon's might core," Tian said coldly, firing his twin pistols again to try and draw the dragon's attention. "Keep attacking; its barrier has its limits!"

Lu Mingfei took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down. He stared at the enormous creature before him, his mind racing, trying to find a way in. Suddenly, he noticed a patch of scales beneath the dragon's wings shimmering with a faint light, unlike the rest of its body.

"Heavens!" Lu Mingfei exclaimed, a hint of uncertainty in his voice, "There seems to be a weak point under its wings!"

Upon hearing this, Tian quickly glanced at it, his gaze sharpening, and he said in a low voice, "It's very likely a node in the barrier. Lu Mingfei, you're in charge of drawing its attention, while Chu Zihang and Caesar coordinate to attack that weak point."

"Attract it?" Lu Mingfei's face turned pale. "Are you kidding me?!"

"Your words of power are enough to keep you alive," Tian said coldly, without a trace of hesitation in his eyes. "Believe in yourself."

Lu Mingfei gritted his teeth, his hand gripping the knife trembling slightly, but he finally nodded and whispered the incantation: "Word of Power: Do Not Die."

His body was enveloped in a faint light. He took a deep breath and shouted at the dragon, "Hey! Big guy, look here!"

The dragon's attention was indeed drawn; it abruptly turned its head towards Lu Mingfei, the flames burning in its eyes growing even brighter. It let out a low roar, opened its massive jaws, and a blazing flame hurtled towards Lu Mingfei.

Lu Mingfei's eyes widened, and almost instinctively rolled to the side. Flames grazed his body, scorching the ground. As soon as he regained his footing, the dragon's claws, accompanied by immense wind pressure, slammed down on him.

"Lu Mingfei, move quickly!" Caesar shouted, while simultaneously firing his gun for cover.

Lu Mingfei gritted his teeth and dodged again, the huge claw slamming into the ground, causing the ground to crack. He staggered, but the protection of the Word Spirit miraculously kept him unharmed.

"Now!" Tian's voice was as cold as ice. "Attack from below the wings!"

Chu Zihang and Caesar acted simultaneously. Chu Zihang's blade slashed down like lightning, precisely striking the weak point of the flash. Caesar's twin pistols followed up with a series of rune bullets, completely shattering the scales. The dragon let out a mournful roar, its body twisting violently. The barrier began to flicker, finally showing signs of breaking.
