As their pace quickened, the air grew heavier, as if the entire forest was shrouded in an invisible oppression. The leaves swayed gently, seemingly swallowed by the power of darkness, while the distant sky grew increasingly gloomy.

They soon arrived at the heart of the forest, where a wide clearing lay before them. In the center of the clearing stood a tall stone pillar, its surface covered with ancient dragon runes that shimmered with a faint red light, as if telling the ancient secrets that had unfolded on this land.

"Is this the source of the dragon race's power?" Lu Mingfei stared blankly at the stone pillar, a strong sense of unease rising within him.

“This stone pillar is used to seal some kind of power of the dragon race.” Chu Zihang took a step closer and carefully observed the runes on the stone pillar. “But the seal is already very weak, and the aura of the dragon race is gradually leaking out.”

Caesar curled his lips slightly, his tone tinged with a relaxed sarcasm, "The Academy's seal is always like this; it never seems to ever truly function fully."

Tian didn't participate in their discussion; his gaze was fixed on the stone pillar, his mind rapidly analyzing the situation. He could sense a tremendous force hidden beneath the pillar, constantly challenging the seal, seemingly poised to break through at any moment.

“This power has begun to break through the seal,” Tian said coldly, a glint of cold light flashing in his golden eyes. “If we do not take immediate action, the power of the dragons will be revived once again.”

"What should we do then?" Lu Mingfei asked nervously, his hands trembling slightly.

“We must reinforce the seal,” Chu Zihang said firmly, his tone filled with calm judgment. “If we don’t stop it, this forest will be completely destroyed.”

Caesar shrugged and gently patted Lu Mingfei on the shoulder. "Looks like we'll have to rely on fate again to solve this problem."

Without saying another word, Tian walked straight to the stone pillar. He stood before it, gripping his twin pistols, "Wings of Death," his gaze icy and cold.

"Word of Power: The Butterfly of Instant Death".

As the sky grew low, countless purplish-blue ghost butterflies suddenly appeared in the air.

These butterflies seemed to emerge from the void, hovering lightly in the air, possessing a deadly allure. As the butterflies drew closer to the stone pillar, lines of death rapidly appeared, coiling around the runes.

Lu Mingfei stared wide-eyed at the butterflies. He knew these ghostly butterflies were not merely beautiful illusions; they represented the power of the heavens, capable of revealing the enemy's weaknesses and delivering a fatal blow.

Chu Zihang and Caesar silently observed Tian's actions. Although they were equally powerful, they understood that Tian's Word of Power far surpassed that of ordinary Word of Power users.

"Hurry up, we don't have much time left," Chu Zihang urged in a low voice, his knife already drawn, ready to deal with any potential dangers.

Just then, the ground around the stone pillar suddenly trembled violently, and a strong red light surged out from the ground, accompanied by a piercing roar.

"Damn it! It's breaking free of the seal!" Lu Mingfei exclaimed as the ground beneath his feet began to wobble.

Caesar quickly drew his gun and calmly aimed at the cracks around the stone pillar. "It seems we need to act quickly."

The runes on the stone pillars began to fade, as if the power of the dragons was breaking free from its seal.

Tian's golden eyes flashed with a cold light, and he pulled the trigger without hesitation. Purple-blue ghostly butterflies instantly scattered, clinging to the runes on the stone pillar. As the lines of death appeared, the dragon's power was stripped away layer by layer.

"Word of Power, activate." Tian's voice was cold and decisive.

"Oh!"

The bullet, like a beam of light piercing the air, struck the very core of the dragon's power. With the line of death severed, the dragon's power instantly collapsed, and the runes on the stone pillar began to flicker faintly again, temporarily stabilizing the seal.

"Finally, we've got it under control." Lu Mingfei breathed a sigh of relief, his tense mood finally easing slightly.

Caesar chuckled and put away his gun. "The heavens are still the most efficient."

But Chu Zihang remained vigilant. He stared at the stone pillar, his brows furrowed. "The seal is already very fragile. Although we have temporarily stabilized the situation, this is only a temporary measure."

Tian's expression remained cold and stern. He said in a low voice, "The power of the dragon race is still lurking. The seal on this forest will collapse again sooner or later."

On their way back to the academy, the four of them silently pondered everything that had just happened.

Although the seal on the Dawnfire was temporarily secured, the threat from the dragons never truly disappeared. That power seemed to be lurking in the shadows, waiting for the moment the seal would loosen again.

Lu Mingfei broke the silence, "Do you think the academy can really suppress these powers forever? This time we only barely managed to control them, but what if the seal completely collapses next time..."

Caesar shrugged, his expression still carrying a hint of amusement. "The academy's seal has always been like this, maintaining control for as long as possible. As for the dragons, one day we will have to face them."

Chu Zihang nodded slightly, his tone revealing a calm analysis, "We must find the root cause, otherwise we will always be forced to defend passively."

Tian didn't participate in the discussion; his gaze was coldly fixed ahead, a voice deep within him telling him—this forest was just the beginning, the real war was about to begin. And he, too, could not escape it.

The morning sun pierced through the forest, its faint light failing to dispel the gloom in the hearts of the four.

Although the seal has been temporarily stabilized, the resurgence of the dragon's power still weighs heavily on them, as if every leaf in this forest hides unpredictable dangers.

Tian walked at the head of the group, gripping his twin pistols tightly, his gaze still cold and stern. His heart was calm, but in this perilous forest, he was already prepared to face the next sudden threat. Although the seal had been temporarily repaired, he knew that the power of the dragons could not be easily suppressed.

Lu Mingfei trailed at the back of the group, his eyes darting around constantly. Although the dragon's aura had faded, his heart was still filled with tension and unease. He knew that the academy's seal couldn't last forever, and this success was only temporary.

Caesar smiled slightly, though he maintained his relaxed and confident demeanor on the surface, a complex emotion flickered in his eyes. "It seems the sealing went smoothly this time; at least we've preserved the peace of the academy."

Chu Zihang nodded calmly, his gaze still sharp as an eagle's. "But the power of the dragon race is constantly increasing. This seal will inevitably be shaken again sooner or later, and we need to make more preparations."

Lu Mingfei took a deep breath and said in a low voice, "So, the academy's sealing problem can't be delayed any longer... But why does the academy seem to have never truly solved this problem?"

Caesar shrugged, a hint of helplessness in his voice. "The academy's seals have always only delayed the inevitable, not provided a permanent solution. The dragons' power is too great; it's impossible to seal them completely."

"Then what should we do?" Lu Mingfei felt increasingly uneasy. "Are we just going to keep dealing with these sudden crises? One day, our strength will also be insufficient."

Tian remained silent, walking ahead without turning back, but his voice was low and firm: "The academy is not the final answer. The real threat is far more complex than what we see now."

The group continued onward, and the air in the depths of the forest gradually became fresher, but the unease in the hearts of the four did not dissipate.

Kassel College, a few days later.

Although the crisis involving the Dawnfire was temporarily averted, the tense atmosphere within the academy did not lessen. Upon their return, the academy's leadership quickly convened a secret meeting to discuss how to address the long-term ineffectiveness of the seal. Lu Mingfei, Chu Zihang, Caesar, and Tian were also summoned by the academy head; as the team involved in the operation, their reports were of paramount importance.

In the conference room, the academy dean frowned, his eyes filled with deep worry. He knew all too well that the unusual movements of the Dawnfire were no accident, and that the power of the dragons was clearly far more complex than the academy had initially estimated.

"You have already witnessed the collapse of the seal," the academy headmaster said slowly, his voice low and suppressed. "Although we have tried our best to reinforce it, as you have seen, it was only a temporary measure. The power of the dragons is gradually recovering."

Chu Zihang calmly replied, "The seal is failing. Although we have temporarily reinforced the seal on the Dawnfire, this state will not last long."
