"Dad, Mom..." Her expression softened slightly, and she smiled as she pushed open the door and entered.

Yang Li had just put down her bowl when she saw Su Mu come in, and her smile deepened. "Little Mu, you're out of school so early today?!"

Su Mu nodded. "There's a midterm exam this afternoon. You can leave after you hand in your paper."

After saying that, he filled a glass of water from the water dispenser and handed it to Su's father, "Dad, how are you feeling today? Is there anything wrong with you?!"

Looking at Su Mu, Su's father said with some concern, "Xiao Mu, are you falling behind in your studies?!" Otherwise, why would you hand in your test paper and come to the hospital so early?

Su Mu naturally understood what her father was thinking. She found it both amusing and exasperating, and said, "Dad, am I really that bad? Can't it be that the test was easy, so I finished it quickly and that's why I came so early?"

Yang Li and Su Mingyuan exchanged glances. Su Mingyuan coughed awkwardly and said, "Dad just finished the surgery, so he's a little confused..."

Su's mother murmured in confusion, "I've seen everything I need to see, who's coming at this hour?!" She went to open the door as she spoke.

Upon opening the door, one sees a group of three people outside: two men and a woman. They appear to be a couple and a bodyguard. The couple, dressed in a low-key manner, exudes an extraordinary aura, their demeanor quite unique. The bodyguard, wearing sunglasses and carrying a briefcase-sized leather bag, stands to the side, radiating a chilling aura. Even with sunglasses on, a single glance from him can send shivers down one's spine.

"You...you must have come to the wrong place?" Su's mother was so intimidated by the three people's imposing manner that she stammered.

The man smiled slightly at her kind face and asked, "Excuse me, is this Su Mingyuan's hospital room?"

"Yes, may I ask who you are?!" Su Mu, who had appeared beside him at some point, suddenly spoke up, his face filled with doubt, but a closer look would reveal the coldness hidden in his dark eyes.

Before the man could even say anything, the woman spoke up with a sharp, sarcastic tone, "Your mother hasn't even said anything yet, what right do you, a little kid, have to interrupt?"

As soon as he finished speaking, even if Su's mother didn't understand, she could tell that something was wrong with his tone. Seeing that Su's mother's expression was not good, the man frowned and shouted, "What are you yelling about here? If you say another word, go home!"

He didn't want his wife to come, but his nephew had gotten into serious trouble, and his elder brother and sister-in-law couldn't come because of their status, so they asked him to handle it. They gave him 100,000 yuan as hush money for the family. His wife was greedy, and she was blinded by the tens of thousands of yuan. She took half of the money and later wanted to come to the hospital with him to see if he could persuade the family to give less money.

His family wasn't poor, and living with his older brother's family, they had a comfortable life. They dressed respectably and received small gifts and flattery from time to time. Yet, his wife was never satisfied.
