The Prince's Beloved Little Wife

Chapter 554 Making Arrangements for the Clothing Store

Chen Mengyao and Ouyang Han stood at the warehouse entrance, watching the bustling scene inside through the glass window. Several part-time employees were methodically selecting clothes, packing and organizing them, and carefully filling out tracking numbers. Sunlight streamed through the windows, illuminating everyone's faces and creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere. Seeing all this, Chen Mengyao felt a surge of satisfaction and contentment.

"They did a good job," Ouyang Han said softly from the side, his tone carrying a hint of approval.

“Yes,” Chen Mengyao nodded in response, “I was originally worried about not having enough manpower, but now it seems that everyone is working together very well.”

The two walked out of the warehouse and arrived at the clothing store. The store was still bustling with people, customers coming and going, creating a lively atmosphere. Looking at the busy yet orderly scene inside, Chen Mengyao couldn't help but smile.

“Let’s go, we should get down to business.” She turned to Ouyang Han and said, “I want to find an office to serve as the operations center for our clothing store’s online shop. Also, we need to find someone to help us with cooking.”

Ouyang Han nodded in agreement: "Do you have any specific requirements?"

“The office doesn’t need to be too big, but it needs to be located close to my clothing store,” Chen Mengyao said as she walked forward. “That way, it will be easier to communicate and I can keep an eye on the store at any time.”

The two quickly arrived at Zhou Jiequan's real estate company. Upon seeing Chen Mengyao and Ouyang Han enter, he immediately put down his work and warmly greeted them.

"What brings Mengyao here today?" Zhou Jiequan greeted her with a smile.

"I need your help with something," Chen Mengyao said bluntly. "I'd like to find an office to use for operating my clothing store's online shop. It doesn't need to be very big, but it needs to be located close to my clothing store."

Zhou Jiequan nodded, took out a pen and notebook and carefully wrote it down: "Understood. There are indeed several office buildings nearby. I'll keep an eye out for suitable properties for you later."

"Thank you," Chen Mengyao said with a smile.

"Is there anything else you need?" Zhou Jiequan asked.

"Hmm..." Chen Mengyao paused for a moment, then added, "Do you remember the two adjoining houses I asked you to help me find for teaching martial arts last time?"

“Of course I remember.” Zhou Jiequan sighed. “But this is a difficult matter. Although you have relaxed your requirements a bit, it is not easy to find two adjacent rooms in the first place. Add to that factors such as location and rent, and it is really hard to find a place that completely meets your requirements.”

“I know this is a bit of a demand,” Chen Mengyao nodded understandingly, “but I hope to have a fixed training venue so that the trainees can have a stable learning environment.”

"Don't worry, I've already asked my colleagues to keep an eye out. I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything," Zhou Jiequan said confidently.

"Thank you in advance," Chen Mengyao said gratefully.

After chatting for a few more minutes, the group got up to say goodbye. Once outside the real estate company, Ouyang Han asked, "Where to next?"

“I’ll go to a housekeeping company,” Chen Mengyao replied. “I want to hire a housekeeper to cook at the shop, and it would be even better if she could also clean.”

Before long, the two arrived at a large local housekeeping service company. The receptionist was a capable-looking middle-aged woman who immediately greeted them warmly upon their arrival.

"Hello, how can I help you?" she asked with a smile.

"I'd like to hire a cook," Chen Mengyao explained. "Ideally, she should be honest, hardworking, and have good cooking skills. It would be even better if she could clean."

The staff listened attentively while taking notes of key information, then began reviewing the documents. "Your request isn't actually that demanding; we have quite a few qualified women here."

She flipped through a few pages, then her eyes lit up: "Hey, Aunt Zhao Wenjuan would be perfect. She's forty-five years old, honest, hardworking, and never lazy. Plus, her cooking skills are excellent; many employers rave about her."

"Oh? Then why is she still looking for a job?" Chen Mengyao asked curiously.

"It's because she's too honest," the staff member said with some regret. "Once, she was wrongly accused of stealing by her employer and was fired. In fact, it was later found out that she hadn't taken it at all, but she didn't say much and just left quietly."

“This is exactly the kind of aunt I need,” Chen Mengyao said immediately. “Please contact her right away and have her come for an interview as soon as possible.”

"Okay, I'll call right now." The staff member picked up the phone and dialed a number.

After the call connected, she briefly explained the situation: "Aunt Zhao, an employer here is looking for a cook, and the conditions are very suitable for you. Would it be convenient for you to come over now?"

A gentle voice came from the other end of the phone: "Sure, I'm waiting for your news at home. Thank you for remembering me."

"Okay, I'll send you the address." After hanging up the phone, the staff member turned to Chen Mengyao, "Aunt Zhao said she can come over now."

"That's great." Chen Mengyao smiled with satisfaction. "I hope she can become a member of our team."

While waiting, Ouyang Han couldn't help but sigh, "You're really becoming more and more like a mature boss."

"I just want to do everything well." Chen Mengyao smiled slightly. "Whether it's an online store or a physical store, you have to run it with your heart."

Shortly after, a simply dressed, kind-faced middle-aged woman walked into the lobby of the housekeeping company. She carried a cloth bag in her hand, looked slightly nervous, but her eyes revealed sincerity.

"Aunt Zhao, this is the employer," the staff member introduced.

"Hello, I'm Chen Mengyao." She extended her hand.

"Hello, Mr. Chen." Zhao Wenjuan shook hands politely. "Thank you for giving me this opportunity."

"Don't mention it," Chen Mengyao said with a smile. "Let's talk and see if it's suitable."

So the three of them sat down together and began to talk in detail. As the conversation deepened, Chen Mengyao felt more and more that this aunt was not only sincere but also meticulous in her work, making her a truly rare and excellent person.

Ultimately, she made a well-considered decision—to hire Zhao Wenjuan to be responsible for the daily meals and some cleaning tasks of the clothing store employees. This was not a hasty choice. Chen Mengyao has almost demanding requirements for details, especially when it comes to issues involving the quality of life and work efficiency of her employees; she never compromises on these matters.

Therefore, she offered Zhao Wenjuan a monthly salary of 5000 yuan, which is considered generous in the current domestic service market. More importantly, she promised that the salary would be paid on time on the 1st of each month, ensuring that Zhao Wenjuan could focus on her work without any worries.

“Aunt Zhao,” Chen Mengyao said gently but solemnly, “this job isn’t complicated, but I hope you can treat it with a professional attitude. The main tasks are to take care of the employees’ lunches and maintain the cleanliness of the shop.”

Zhao Wenjuan nodded repeatedly, her face beaming with a sincere smile: "Don't worry, Mr. Chen. I have done a lot of housekeeping and catering work before. I'm quick and meticulous, and I certainly won't let you down."

Chen Mengyao smiled slightly and continued, "That's great. Also, I'd like to invite you to my villa tomorrow morning so we can discuss the specific work arrangements and schedule in more detail. Is that convenient for you?"

"Of course it's convenient!" Zhao Wenjuan agreed without hesitation. "I'll come whenever you need me."

"Then let's set it for 9:30 tomorrow morning," Chen Mengyao added while checking her phone's schedule. "I'll send you the address later. By the way, do you know how to ride a tricycle?"

Zhao Wenjuan looked slightly surprised, then nodded and replied, "Yes, I used to deliver goods for relatives, so riding a tricycle is no problem."

"That's great," Chen Mengyao said with satisfaction. "I'll provide you with an electric tricycle specifically for purchasing ingredients and transporting supplies, so you can improve your efficiency and save your energy."

"Thank you so much, Mr. Chen, for being so thoughtful," Zhao Wenjuan said sincerely.

"You're welcome. I just want things to be done more efficiently." Chen Mengyao said as she added Zhao Wenjuan's contact information and sent her the villa's address. To show her sincerity, she also transferred some money via WeChat for travel expenses, saying it would be for Zhao to use when taking a taxi over.

"Thank you so much." Zhao Wenjuan said excitedly, "I will definitely arrive on time and will not take up your time."

"I believe you," Chen Mengyao replied with a smile. "Then see you tomorrow."

After explaining everything, Chen Mengyao left the housekeeping company with Ouyang Han, who had been standing to the side, and got into a car heading towards the villa.

"You have a good impression of her, don't you?" Ouyang Han couldn't help but ask.

“Hmm.” Chen Mengyao nodded. “Although she is not young, she speaks with composure, has a positive attitude, and has a wealth of relevant experience. I think she is capable of doing this job.”

"Then why did you arrange for her to go to the villa for a detailed discussion?" Ouyang Han asked curiously.

"On the one hand, it's to get to know her style of handling things better and see if she's suitable for long-term cooperation; on the other hand, I also want to observe her performance in formal settings," Chen Mengyao explained. "After all, this kind of position may seem trivial, but it directly affects the employees' mood and the team atmosphere, so we can't take it lightly."

"You really are cautious," Ouyang Han smiled. "However, that's also your advantage."

“When doing business, you have to be careful when hiring people,” Chen Mengyao said firmly. “Especially when it comes to soft management matters like employee benefits, you have to be hands-on and strictly control them.”

Meanwhile, Zhao Wenjuan had returned home and was packing her clothes and tools, preparing for her new job and new life. She knew this opportunity was hard-won and understood the responsibility and expectations it carried. She secretly resolved to do her best and live up to the trust placed in her.
