The Prince's Beloved Little Wife

Chapter 3 Preparation before traveling

The furniture store acted quickly, calling to deliver the goods the next morning. Chen Mengyao went downstairs to receive them, checked the quantity, and paid the remaining balance. The musical instruments, fitness equipment, and various chess and mahjong tables she bought also arrived that day, and she paid for them all after verifying everything was correct. Only after everyone had left did she store everything into her spatial storage.

She also thought about storing cooking stoves, gas cylinders, honeycomb stoves, and briquettes in her space. So she went to the wholesale market and bought several hundred gas cylinders, dozens of gas stoves, several hundred honeycomb stoves, and hundreds of thousands of briquettes. After having the vendors deliver them to the warehouse, she stored them in her space. Feeling she had nothing else to buy, she leisurely strolled around the streets.

Chen Mengyao wondered if she could come back if she traveled through time. What would happen to her supermarket then? So she asked Xiaobai with her consciousness, "Xiaobai, if I travel through time, can I come back? I'll miss my supermarket and my apartment. I worked hard to earn money to buy them, and I don't want to give them up like this." Xiaobai replied, "Yes, Master. You can travel back and forth when the space reaches its highest level." Chen Mengyao felt a little relieved.

Chen Mengyao then strolled around the streets and saw a watch shop. She went in and bought several thousand watches and clocks of various kinds, along with several thousand accessories. She paid a deposit and gave the shop her address, asking the merchant to deliver them that day. Finally, Chen Mengyao went to the supermarket and spoke with the staff, explaining that she would be going on a business trip to a faraway place soon and the signal might be poor. She told them they could send her a WeChat message if they needed anything, and she would reply when she saw it. After giving them this information, she left.

She continued driving around, looking for anything else she wanted to buy. Seeing a toy shop, she decided to buy something too. So she drove to the toy wholesale market and bought hundreds of thousands of toys of all kinds, paying extra to have them delivered to her designated warehouse the next day. After thinking for a while, she also went to the stationery wholesale market and bought millions of notebooks, folders, document bags, ledgers, and other stationery items, paying extra to have them delivered to her designated warehouse the next day as well. Finally, after wandering around the streets a few more times and finding nothing she needed, she went home to wait for her watch to arrive.

That evening, the watch shop delivered all the goods. After confirming the quantity was correct, she paid the remaining balance. A batch of toys and stationery also arrived, and the deliveries weren't finished until the next day, with all the money transferred then as well. There were still three days left before she could time-travel. So she decided to stay home for two days and spend the remaining day finding a secluded place to travel to the other side of the world.

So she went to the property management company and paid ten years' worth of management fees upfront. She told them she was going abroad soon and didn't know when she'd be back, so she gave them a large sum of money to look after the apartment. This money was her agency fee, and she asked them to help rent it out and check on the apartment regularly. She offered them 30% of the rent and instructed them to have the tenant transfer the money to a designated bank account, even giving them the account number. Seeing how generous the homeowner was, the property management company nodded repeatedly, promising to help her find a good tenant and that they would contact her via WeChat once the apartment was rented out. They even exchanged WeChat IDs.

After giving her instructions, she suddenly remembered that she should buy some more surveillance cameras. So she drove to various tech malls and bought all the cameras, voice recorders, pinhole cameras, and other surveillance equipment, both in stock and readily available, totaling hundreds of thousands. After buying them, she followed their delivery truck back to the warehouse, paid the balance, and only after watching them leave did she put everything into her spatial storage.

Feeling there was nothing she needed to buy, she went home. At home, she put all her usual clothes, toiletries, skincare products, valuable jewelry and money, her ID card and important documents, as well as all the food and drinks in her apartment into her online storage. Suddenly, the entire apartment was empty except for the furniture and kitchenware. While she still had time, she ordered various groceries online that she hadn't bought before, and put them all into her storage after they arrived. For the next two days, she just relaxed and did nothing.

These past two days, she'd eat her fill, watch TV, and then sleep when she got tired. After waking up, she'd eat again, living a carefree, laid-back life. She felt incredibly content. Soon it was the last day, and she decided to go on a trek through a more remote forest. So she drove to a dense forest, stored her car in her spatial storage, and waited for the time to arrive before trekking.
