After she finished eating, the werewolf stared at her, and the two little ones stared back at her. Xia Ning sighed, thankfully the entire courtyard had been enclosed in firewalls.

"You come with me."

She went outside and reached the next room, only to find that the person hadn't followed. She sighed, wondering what terrible things she had done to deserve such torment from heaven.

Back inside, she pulled the werewolf into the room, where she had already laid out clean blankets and mattresses. "You'll sleep here tonight," she said, making a sleeping motion.

"Put these clothes on." She pointed to the clothes, then to the animal skin on his body. It's so dirty; I hope he doesn't get her blankets dirty. No, he's too dirty. Two buckets of hot water were placed in the kitchen, and she pulled him over, telling him to take a bath before changing.

After gesturing for a while, the werewolf seemed to understand her request. He quickly took off his animal skin and jumped into the wooden barrel.

Xia Ning covered her face. "Do you have to be so open? You stripped naked right in front of me." Broad shoulders, narrow hips, eight-pack abs, and long, powerful-looking legs.

This figure is even more captivating than any American blockbuster she saw in her past life.

This bastard dared to act like a scoundrel in front of her. Xia Ning didn't dare look at him again and fled in panic.

She retreated to her room, where the two little ones were playing happily. She picked up the two wolves, grumbled a bit, then lay down and went to sleep.

What a night of turmoil.

Because there was someone—no, a wolf—in the house, she dared not conjure things recklessly anymore. She got up very early and put out a lot of grains, vegetables, and meat in the kitchen.

She was just about to go back to sleep when she saw someone standing at the door. Oh my god, does this person walk without making a sound? It scared her to death.

"Awoo..." What's wrong?

Seeing that she was frightened, the werewolf looked at her with concern and asked her what was wrong.

What the hell? I don't understand.

This can't go on; she needs to teach him to speak. Communication is the biggest obstacle right now, and she doesn't want to keep talking at cross purposes. The road ahead is long, and she's worried sick.

"Bang bang..." The gate to the small courtyard was pounded heavily.

Who are these people? Xia Ning was a little annoyed. She just wanted to take a nap, what were these people up to?

She pushed the werewolf into the main room and threw the two wolf cubs out of her room. After gesturing for them not to leave, she closed the main room door before opening the door herself.

"Oh my, you're still alive!" the person outside the door exclaimed upon seeing her.

This is what I said...

She shouldn't be alive?

Why are you knocking on my door?

Xia Ning frowned and asked irritably, "I've never seen this person before." "No, I don't know anyone around here."

"We heard wolves howling around here last night, so we came to check on you first thing this morning. Is everything alright?" the visitor said guiltily.

I heard about it last night, and now I'm here to see. Are they waiting for her to be bitten to death so they can come and collect her grain? And so many of them?

"It's nothing, you misunderstood, we're not coming to my house." Xia Ning leaned against the door, looking at them coldly.

The people at the gate looked disappointed. So they hadn't come to his house. They said that if wolves came, how could there be any survivors in his house? Besides, with the height of the wall, wolves couldn't jump over it.

Hey!

Seeing their regretful expressions, Xia Ning became even more annoyed. What, disappointed that she hadn't died? Damn it! Too lazy to waste any more words with these people, she slammed the courtyard gate shut with a "bang".

Those who wanted to peek in hadn't even had a chance to squeeze into the yard when their noses slammed hard against the door.

"Damn it, this kid's asking for it!"

“Look at his rosy complexion, he definitely doesn’t lack food.”

"So what if we don't need it? They're not going to give it to us anyway."

Even if they had evil intentions, they all gave up when they saw how high the wall was. They still had some food stored at home, and they didn't want to do anything as bad as robbery and murder unless absolutely necessary.

The group returned home dejected and disappointed.

Xia Ning looked at the one person and two wolves in the main room and said, "I'll go make breakfast."

Fearing they wouldn't understand, I made a shoveling motion with two fingers and then pointed outside.

Regardless of whether the man understood or not, she went to the kitchen.

Normally, throwing away a chicken would have been enough, but she simply couldn't bear to see her own kind eating raw meat, all bloody and disgusting. Even in ancient times, people knew that prey should be roasted before eating.

The man stared at the large bowl in front of him, at something he didn't recognize, his brows furrowed tightly.

After serving the two wolves two bowls of plain meat soup, Xia Ning picked up a spoon and started eating dumplings. She thought it would be better to let them get used to using a spoon first. Dumplings were convenient; she had plenty of raw ones in her space, which she could just boil.

After eating one, she pointed to the bowl in front of the man, indicating that he should eat as well.

The man imitated her, scooped up a dumpling, and found it really awful.

He put down his spoon, watching the humans opposite him eat with relish, and felt a deep pang of sympathy. They had eaten all the meat in their house yesterday, and today they could only eat this grass-like stuff. Should he go out hunting? He still had a roe deer in his cave!

Seeing that he had put it down, Xia Ning said unhappily, "What, you don't want to eat? Hurry up and eat!" She pushed the bowl in front of him.

This person is clearly used to eating raw food and doesn't like cooked food. Doesn't he realize how dirty raw food is, how many bacteria it contains? Does he have an iron stomach? How has he managed to survive until now?

The werewolf noticed her displeasure and could only continue eating his dumplings, feeling resentful. This sticky stuff had no flavor whatsoever compared to meat.

She ate thirty, he ate a whole bowl. They both finished everything, the man even left the broth. He thought the broth tasted good, much better than the sticky, gooey stuff.

Xia Ning unconsciously twitched her lips, glancing at his still flat stomach. This guy, most people really couldn't afford to raise him.

After the meal, Xia Ning began to teach him to speak and do chores.

Getting him to speak was incredibly difficult. When she spoke, he would silently watch. When she asked him to speak, he would remain silent. Xia Ning was furious; training him properly was truly a long and arduous task.

She wanted them to leave, but the three of them didn't understand and completely ignored her, stubbornly staying at her house.

Fortunately, this man is a very capable worker. He can do a decent job after just one demonstration. He's not afraid of the cold or getting tired.

Washing dishes, doing laundry, taking care of the two little ones—all of that was left to him. He was taught to wash with warm water.

A month passed.

The werewolf was already able to say a few simple words to her.

Because they spent so much time together, and this person was a wild one, she didn't hide anything from him, collecting ice and releasing water in front of him.

The first time, she startled him so much that he fell to the ground, staring at her in utter shock.

After no longer hiding her true feelings from him, Xia Ning began teaching him how to make dumplings, wontons, and steamed buns. Mainly because he had such a large appetite, she needed to prepare plenty of cooked food. Now, when she took out meat, his mouth would water, his eyes filled with longing as he looked at the bright red meat. Looking at her, he also had a pitiful expression.

Xia Ning ignored his longing and wouldn't give him anything raw. He chopped the meat incredibly fast, finely and perfectly. But when it came to making dumplings, his hands were big and clumsy, and he never managed to wrap them well. The dough would inexplicably have holes in it when he held it in his hand. This guy was probably just suited for manual labor.
