The car stopped at the entrance of H University. After Chen Yan got out of the car, Assistant Tang drove away.

Chen Yan didn't go back to school; instead, he went to the apartment he rented next door. Just then, he heard a car beeping nearby.

Chen Yan turned her head and saw Xi Yichen's car parked not far away. He hadn't driven himself today; his driver had brought him over. He leaned out of the rear window, smiled, and said to Chen Yan, "Get in. I've been waiting for you for a long time."

Chen Yan walked over and asked, "Is there anything I can help you with, Young Master Xi?"

"Nothing much, it's just that we haven't seen each other in a long time, so I wanted to ask you out for a meal."

The car stopped at a movie theater, and Xi Yichen and Chen Yan got out.

"I wanted to invite you to a movie, the one you made. How could I not support your first movie?"

Xi Yichen took out two movie tickets he had already bought. Perhaps it was the lesson he had just learned that made him much more restrained and polite in his speech.

"Young Master Xi, I promised you I wouldn't refuse your invitation when you lent me money last time. Consider this my way of repaying your favor. Just after Chen Yan and Xi Yichen walked in, a taxi stopped at the entrance of the cinema, and Wen Mu got out of the car.

After paying the fare, Wen Mu walked towards the movie theater. He checked his watch; it was already 7:50, ten minutes before the movie started.

Wen Mu didn't go into the movie theater. He just sat down on a bench next to the entrance and waited for Chen Yan. He looked around and saw a popcorn stand, so he went over and bought a bucket of popcorn. Then he sat down on the bench and waited for Chen Yan.

Wen Mu was a little excited. This was the first time he and Chen Yan had gone to the movies. Although neither of them had confessed their feelings, this development seemed to be similar to that of a normal couple. Wen Mu wondered if this could be considered their first real date.

But by the time the movie started, no one else had gone in, and Chen Yan still hadn't appeared. Wen Mu started to worry. He called Chen Yan, but no one answered.

Chen Yan couldn't possibly have already gone in, since he had both tickets. Wen Mu took a taxi back to the apartment to see if Chen Yan was waiting for him there, but when he arrived, Chen Yan was nowhere to be found.

Unable to find Chen Yan, Wen Mu rushed back to the movie theater, just in case Chen Yan had already arrived. They had made plans together, and Chen Yan would definitely be there.

After Wen Mu arrived at the movie theater entrance again, she sat on the bench by the entrance and waited.

The movie had already started and was playing inside the theater. Wen Mu was sitting on a bench outside. It was still a bit chilly at night, and after a while, Wen Mu curled up inside.

"Young man, are you waiting for your girlfriend?" An old man walked over. "It's so late, she's definitely not coming. Go home."

"Thank you, I'll wait a bit longer, he'll be here soon."

As the movie ended, the audience gradually came out. Wen Mu looked at the crowd as they left, a hint of disappointment flashing in his eyes. He then got up and left, taking a taxi back to his apartment.

After Wen Mu got into the car, Chen Yan and Xi Yichen left the movie theater.

"Do you need me to give you a ride?" Xi Yichen asked Chen Yan.

"No need, just remember to have your driver return my phone." After saying this, Chen Yan took a taxi and left. She had accidentally dropped her phone in the car while she was fighting with Xi Yichen.

When Chen Yan arrived home, it was already late at night. As soon as he stepped out of the elevator, he saw Wen Mu squatting at the door of their room.

"Why are you here?"

"I forgot my keys." Wen Mu looked up and said somewhat dizzily. His cheeks were flushed and his voice was a little nasal. He must have caught a cold after being outside in the cold for so long.

Wen Mu tried to stand up, but his legs gave way and he almost fell down again. Chen Yan quickly supported him, took out the key to open the door, and then half-carried Wen Mu into the room.

Chen Yan placed Wen Mu on the sofa in the living room and touched his forehead. "Have you been waiting outside the whole time?"

"I'm sorry, something came up today and I couldn't make it."

"Didn't I tell you, if I don't come next time, don't wait for me?" Chen Yan put Wen Mu on the sofa and stood up. "I'll go get you some medicine."

"I know, but whether you come or not is your business, whether I wait or not is my business." Wen Mu's muffled voice came from the sofa.

Chen Yan paused, but said nothing, and went to get medicine for Wen Mu.

Because of a cold, Wen Mu didn't sleep very well at night, but fortunately it wasn't too serious. After sleeping in late the next day, he was almost fully recovered.
